Ashley I love that you used the panels you made to make a finished card. I enjoy this technique but being such a busy background I have trouble using them to make cards. The foil and alcohol ink tutorials are wonderfully informative and you make it look so easy. Gorgeous and thanks for sharing.
Just finished your series on alcohol inks and loved it, I am new to the inks and this helped me out a lot. Another thing I struggle with is knowing how to use the background, loved the way you cut them, such a clean and simple card. Thanks for the series.
As I watched this lovely video I realized I had watched it once before, because I had liked it the first time. But I enjoyed it every bit as much the second time. Your cards are gorgeous.
I totally agree with the last comment! These are by far the best alcohol ink in foil cards I’ve seen so far on TH-cam! I don’t know how you did it especially on your first try with foil! If you have any secrets I love to now??? Thanks for sharing, all of your cards so beautiful!❤️❤️❤️
I think the trick is to not let the ink completely dry before adding the foil. It needs it be just slightly damp still. There is a lot of luck involved with alcohol inks too I think lol
Cool stuff. Nice of you to make those for your loved ones. I'm just getting started in alcohol inks but they're really cool, and I have some foils, so maybe I'll try this.
Ashley I just had to jump on my laptop just so I could subscribe to you and comment. I woke up to my youtube playing as usual but for the first time you were on my feed. I absolutely loved your AI's with the foiling. You did a great job. I've seen many people doing without getting as good of result as you did. I was very impressed. Now I see this was a series for this week I will enjoy going back and watching the first 4. So glad I happened to find you and I woke right at the moment I did. Geuss our moons lined up together today. lol
Ashley- I loved the alcohol ink series! All of the cards are beautiful, but what I really liked was your honesty about making mistakes and starting over. I find I do that a lot as a newby. It really helps to know that others make (and fix) them too since most videos probably have that edited out. Anyway, glad I found your channel and looking forward to seeing more of your work. Thank you
These are the most beautiful backgrounds of all those I have seen created by other You Tubers using this technique! I think your color combinations, the fact that you didn’t overwork the ink, and the 2 minute drying time are the keys. Great job, Ashley and thanks for sharing. Now I really AM inspired to try this technique. ❤️
I'm only just thinking of trying alcohol inks & have found your series so amazingly helpful. Although I do now want to run before I can walk & jump straight in to the foiling! Thank you for sharing all your hints & tips, not to mention your gorgeous cards!
I'm glad you like the videos Jane! Be sure to check out some of my newer alcohol ink videos showing some more techniques! I hope you enjoy creating! If you are on Instagram tag me with what you make so I can see! Some newer videos to check out: th-cam.com/video/sgpGRjSQhEU/w-d-xo.html and th-cam.com/video/fIzLemiTEGQ/w-d-xo.html
Ashley, you are totally amazing! I have wanted to try alcohol inks and they have intimidated me so I haven't. However, you have inspired me! Thank you for your beauty❣
I love this Ashley! It’s beautiful! U totally give me hope and inspiration! All I’ve been doing for 1 year is buying and organizing everything I want to try to have a nice space to craft! I’m one of those women that’s needs complete sets of “stuff” in order to be happy! Lol! I guess at my age I kinda feel I should have what I want since we really don’t go on vacations much! Lol thanks again! Liz😊💗
absolutely gorgeous creations.... need to get me some alcohol inks now, and some foil, I am hugely drawn to colour and shine and these have the best of both worlds...
Beautiful backgrounds and thank you for showing ways to use them without diecuts. I don't have a diecut machine so the stamped sentiment on a diagonal paper is a good alternative.
great series. Do you have to use Yupo paper? will it work with freezer paper? Also, will you get similar results with using 99% alcohol instead of blending solution?
Beautiful!! I just (for the first time ever) played with alcohol inks & foils. It is addicting isn’t it! Definitely hard to know when to put the foil down. Your cards are just gorgeous.
Have you tried Peniata (spelling is not right) inks? I love thse also. They seem to be a tad bit thicker. But one think I like so much is that seem to be cheaper than Rangers but if you get the set from Amazon, I'll get you the link, in that set you get white and a gorgeous gold. That gold stands out as much as any color unlike the mixitives from Rangers set. The white is so opague also so that is fun to use. I think this kit I am going to send the link to is very reasonable. And I am in love with your card designs. You have given me a lot of inspiration. I knew I was going to craft today but didn't know what to do but now I do. lol Well unfortunately my computer is acting up and I can't get to the address bar but if you type in Pinata Alcohol Inks they will come up. He has a lot of other type inks but the alcohol ones do say what they are.
Hi Ashley, I just started playing w/ alcohol inks about a year ago. I am still learning a lot from TH-cam and I have taken some online classes too. I needed a couple of cards for some friends and thought I'd try to do it w/ AI. They came out so COOL! I did seal mine w/ Kamar Varnish Spray and they looked even more amazing after I did that. I did learn from TH-cam that you can use the reverse side of a Garage Sale sign and it works just as well as Yupo and much less expensive. I have made up a craft list from your supply list so I can make lots of cards. I do use clear stamps but haven't invested in a stamp platform yet and I desperately need one because I have ruined a few projects. I was wondering why you prefer Tombow glue? I have never used it before but wanted to get your thoughts on it. I absolutely love your videos and you are very nice to listen to! Thank you for sharing your gift of card making. You are very talented and a great instructor! Thank you so much!
Hi Laura! Very interesting tip about the garage sale sign. I absolutely love my MISTI, it took my craftsmanship to the next level! I like Tombow glue because it works with most materials. Also it is cheap and sold at the craft store up the road from me 😉
Thank you for your quick response Ashley! I will definitely be getting some Tombow glue and I have been wanting to get a stamp platform for a long time. I may go w/ the one by Tim Holtz because it's more in my budget and it seems to get good reviews. I look forward to watching your future videos!
Beautiful cards...I wanted to ask...exactly what type of paper did you use? Yupo, glossy cardstock? I am going to try to attempt this...but I need to know exactly what you used....I didn’t think you could use just regular cardstock.....puzzled...but so impressed with your work....lovely
It's been a while since I bought them by I am pretty sure I got them at Walmart. If you are looking for good scissors you can't go wrong with Tim Holt's scissors! Hope this helps!
Do you mean the cardstock? I’m not completely sure what I used in this video. It might be from back when I was using the Michaels brand cardstock. Now I use Neenah Classic Crest Solar White

OMG - The foil !!! Watched all 5 and loved your series, but the foil just blew my mind! Thanks so much! 💙

This is an oldie and goodie. Thanks so much. I’ve been wanting to try foil and alcohol inks. I’m going to give it a try.
A great video! I didn't know about the ink and foil! Will be playing with it tomorrow! Love the effect.👍🏻👍🏻💕💕💕😍😍😍🐶🐶🇬🇧🇬🇧
Thanks for the beautiful ideas & for sharing the timing details on inks / foils.
Cool stuff. Nice of you to make those for your loved ones. I'm just getting started in alcohol inks but they're really cool, and I have some foils, so maybe I'll try this.
The video was super cool, easy and the cards are awesome. Thanks for sharing.
Excited to try this technique!
These are the prettiest cards I've ever seen.
I just finished day 5. I’m going to have to give my alcohol Inks a try again. Very pretty, all five days. Hugs.

Being honest about budget is REAL! When I found a less expensive way, I use it!
I'm obsessed with alcohol inks and foil, it's so beautiful. Love your cards and the use of your panels. 💜🖌🎨

I just started with alcohol inks and I love the foiling technique on them! Your cards are gorgious! Now I'm off to buy some foil!
Thank you so much for sharing this technique. I so can't wait to try it . I am so glad you don't have to do the foiling with a laminating machine.
Absolutely gorgeous!
Really lovely, layering and ink techniques! Thanks for sharing 🌼
Love these cards...I've never seen this done before ☺
absolutely gorgeous creations.... need to get me some alcohol inks now, and some foil, I am hugely drawn to colour and shine and these have the best of both worlds...
can you use heat transfer foil??
Beautifully done cards. Thanks for the 2-3min tip.
What type of glue do you use? Do you also use double sticky tape?
Those were absolutely gorgeous! Fabulous job!
Hey I know this is a old video so you may not remember but I was wondering if you put mixitive down before any ink or just as you go ? X
Beautiful backgrounds and thank you for showing ways to use them without diecuts. I don't have a diecut machine so the stamped sentiment on a diagonal paper is a good alternative.

It is Yupo paper!
Those are just beautiful!!!!!!
Love these cards!! You have inspired me to try it and subscribe!
Beautiful
Ashley, would you be so kind to tell me where you got the small scissors you were using?
It's been a while since I bought them by I am pretty sure I got them at Walmart. If you are looking for good scissors you can't go wrong with Tim Holt's scissors! Hope this helps!
What is the company that makes the foil. Great demo!
I have a link to the foil I used in the description 😄
Wow this is just so Amazing thank you for sharing.
Just awesome thank you
Question… Can I use this same foiling process with dylusions Ink sprays? I do create effects in the ink by applying straight rubbing alcohol.
I am not sure, I have never used dylusions ink sprays. I would say give it a shot!
I absolutely loved this series!! I want to try this technique. I imagine you could use the leftover foil on other cards? Thanks so very much!!!
You can still use the remaining foil, keeping in mind it is broken up from using it on the alcohol ink 😄
Ashley Tucker Thanks Ashley!!
Thank you so much for making this! I was so confused what to do with the rolled up foil... I thought it was gold leaf but it wasn't :/
Do you use card stock
For the alcohol inks I use Yupo paper 😊
Ashley is it just ordinary card you are using.
Do you mean the cardstock? I’m not completely sure what I used in this video. It might be from back when I was using the Michaels brand cardstock. Now I use Neenah Classic Crest Solar White
BEAUTIFUL
Welche Folie ist das?
Here is a link to the foil I used: amzn.to/2R8P7uT
I've tried this several times and no luck :o( They are nothing like yours. Just can't figure out what I'm doing wrong :o(
What materials are you using? What kind of paper?
"IT"S ALIVE"!!!!
TH-cam is getting way too difficult to navigate. More instructions needed please.
