Why are people saying that dog is ugly. It is a very affectionate and loving dog there is nothing wrong with him/her. It is a Chinese crested dog.

My dog has learned it and it didn't even take 30 minutes. Now he wants to do high fives regardless if I tell him to just cause he wants a treat.

I'm trying to train a cute Maltese called Gypsy to Shake but she's really food minded, so she ends up focusing on the treat and not the desired action, but i'll keep trying. Consistency is the key right? Thanks for the videos they are always so helpful!!!!!!!

Try and find a "high value" treat for him - it varies from dog to dog, but what's the thing he really goes crazy for more than anything else?
I find rice krispies work really well, my dog loves them and they're small enough that you're not spoiling him too much by giving him a dozen in a training session.
Good luck, you'll get there, just got to find the right reward. Patience, consistency and persistence

The dog breed is the Chinese Crested. It comes with two coats, hairless and puffed. You can learn more about the breed at the AKC's website. www.akc.org/dog-breeds/chinese-crested/

Corvus Clamor some dogs take longer than others. Plus, if you are giving the dog treats but the dog isn't doing what you want then you are teaching him quite the opposite. Every dog is different. I started out doing it just like the woman in the video. My dog did not catch on as fast as hers. However, I eventually changed the way I taught my dog as he wasn't catching on.
