Awesome intercooler! You can’t go wrong with Banks! Its a little pricey but I think it’s worth it. Nice install but I am sure it was a pain in the ass.

Magnetic plate covers that advertise your business is what you need to cover the plates
A great win win situation.
For the plate issue, get like a cummins plate and put magnets on the back so you can just stick it over the plate that’s on there. Save you time from not having to edit

Doing this in a couple weeks but I am removing the front bumper it’s steel so just a couple huge nuts and bolts and it’s off then remove the wheel well like yourself there and should be all done with banks upgrades on my truck

The driver side we had to lengthen and the passengers dad was able to get it to fit nicely
I had the same problems with my installation. Banks has got a really bad QC, especially for the money. I still remember when the kit was 1,300. (I paid 1600 for mine and they now have color directions) But here we are years later & they are still cheap skates! For the money, just include longer silicone boost tubes! There is literally no room for adjustments for engineers they sure are dumb!

Soon 😅 New building means I get to order things that nobody can touch except employees. I don't like buying things here because anybody can come in and use everybody's stuff. Occasionally the space is rented out to randoms so it doesn't make sense right now. Those fender protectors are going to be a game changer as well! That and a shop pressure washer. 😤
I had the same problem with mishimoto boots and Chrysler pipes
Got the same intercooler and now my new oem radiator won’t sit all the way down, the intercooler pipes are in the way
There were no issues with fitment on this unit.
I know this is random but what kind of 4th gen mirrors did you have for your 3rd gen
I got them from my Dad because he was given them for his 4th gen. He didn't realize they weren't for a 4th gen though so he gave them to me. You can get them on amazon. I may have a link in the description but I can't remember.
Could use that straight boot as extinction at top ? I don't know

Man on my western star if I get in to it pretty hard I'll pop those clamps every time,. × 2 fixed it.
Watch that pyrometer , when it rises back out even if it holding on the gear, that's one good thing running in the winter, very seldom have to let up.
I know it a bitch to back out when it's pulling hard, but a lot cheaper than staying in it,

I'm running a 550 Cat and 18 spd, but the little Cummins witch is what's in my pick up work on the same principle. My Cummins is bone stock, got to be dependable !!! My Cat does have a little fuel on it, single turbo. Believe it or not dual breathers helped the smoke, remember smoke is wasted fuel, rather just see heat. Can you tell I'm setting here waiting to load......lol
Did you do that boot with the turbo install??
It's a Bank's boot. It isn't blowing out anytime soon. The only reason I replaced the two down at the intercooler were because the old ones were a smaller size so we were going up a size.
@CP Steve Miller I meant when you did the turbo on that truck were you the boot and clamp installer the first time
Driving in salt with plow attached fills engine bay with salt spray
He doesn't plow at all and the truck has never seen a plow in its' life. I asked him about that.

If I'm right plates should be metal but you can buy or make some real easy this plate covers of slip-on that's what a lot of people doing their videos anymore
I keep on and off forgetting to cover them. Some clips I cover them others the rag fell off 😅
Instead of covering up the plates while editing the video tape carboard or some plastic over it. That way even if the police get a search warrant for the non edited video that has the plates on it, it will still be covered. Or a magnetic cover.
I did in part of the video. I forget half of the time and then kick myself later because it takes so much time to do it
Plates are shown in public. Why bother sensoring them
So the cops can't show up at my house and use my videos as evidence for any reason. I could care less about individuals seeing them.
I made a joke about not having a license and cops show up. After that I figure I'll make it a little harder for them it they want to pull that crap.
