    At a cost of $90 these things are just as if not more expensive as a good quality large size fire extinguisher. Even when considering more portable options the element is about 2-5 times more expensive than fire extinguisher aerosol cans.
    Looking around on amazon I could get two EZ fire spray cans (for living room and vehicle), two First Alert medium fire extinguishers (for kitchen and garage), Flasld fire blanket (for the bedroom), and a couple liters of water. Now these are not the best fire extinguishers, but they appear to be a lot better than just one element stick.
    The cans are wider in diameter but don't need the striker and match seen in the video, making them a lot faster and more intuitive. The medium size fire extinguisher is a conventional type with a pin and squeeze operation. Something that is well known for most people in the world for use in fire safety. The fire blanket is meant to either be thrown on the fire to smother it or used as a protective cover as you attempt to escape a burning structure. The first task is a good deal harder but considering the option for the later is attempting to fight a house fire with a single stick I'd take the blanket and get out. Water isn't good for grease and oil fires, but it can work on wood such as in a house or in a garden. It could also help when eating hot foods or when you're tired.
    Looking around at the element and some testing on it, the first few videos I found don't show it in a good light. As most of the time it doesn't seem like the element does much.

      He doesn't show it putting out a fire because
      1) its very expensive
      2) very hard and expensive to clean up
      3) expensive to replace.
      In the automotive industry it's not a bad idea to put a non expiring fire extinguisher (which extinguises all kinds of fire that happen during a car crash) into every vehicle.

      @dantai68 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Wtfinc you talk about this being cheap, but it's 80-100usd.
      A full sized fire extinguisher runs 40-90usd and here are small aerosol can sized fire extinguishers which seems to work for kitchen and BBQ use which are 10-20usd.
      The only laws the guy could be referring to are likely local laws regarding the filming of fires, creating of fires, etc.
      You can just Google videos of people testing this product and it works at putting out a real fire about 50% of the time.

Potassium radicals, are even more reactive and would bind exothermically to basically any element it comes across, but once it's reacted with something (I.E non ground state, non metallic potassium) it doesn't react with anything else, unless it's more reactive than potassium or the other element it's ionically/covalently bonded to.

    Just a note but anyone carrying the size of normal extinguisher he showed for their car, please get a bigger one!!! I've dumped a couple to prove to mates how short they actually last and how little they do, if you don't catch the problem immediately (so basically anything other than a dash fire) it'll be way to big to put it out.
    Hell even the full size 20kg ones you normally see in buildings aren't always enough when you don't get straight to the fire, I've seen a 2 minute old fire on a vehicle that was moving like 20kmph (so super easy to see and smell the smoke, unlike in a car doing freeway speeds) just eat a 20kg extinguisher and keep going, took 2 of them to get it out and they nearly lost a brand new quarter million dollar machine, it's crazy how quick it happens
