i wanna buy this but im not sure how strong it would be in the wind that pole only rests in that spot vs having a plastic click in boot or something to stop it from moving how sturdy is it

It's pretty sturdy. The pole is like a tension pole. There is also spots on the tent itself and the full size fly that you can stake down good.
