    I have hunted and fished all my long life and have enjoyed every outing, every camp fire, all the family chats, every stew and s’more we made. It all began when I was young and here you are enjoying the outdoor life with your young wife. She is a obviously a good sport and you are lucky that she is. You, young man, are good about helping her. Keep it up. Thank you for the video. I really enjoyed your video.

    Ive been wondering as i want to get a portable wood firepit too...are we allowed to use our own in bc campgrounds? I read that we had to use the one on site? I hate that cuz campers dump all sorts of nasty stuff into those pits. 😢

    • @campbobear
      @campbobear  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      In BC campgrounds, official rule says you can only use it in the designated fire ring; however, I always ask at the gate if I can use my own and they always tell me it's fine as long as I keep it within my campsite. So yea, always ask at the gate and follow their instructions. I do agree that sometimes I find unspeakable things in those provided fire pits 😅

I got those from Amazon Japan (www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/B07L32XW23/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) I think I paid around 110 CDN for 2 of them, including shipping. As far as I know that model is not sold in Canada BUT there's a very similar one at Costco (www.costco.ca/coleman®-pack-away™-outdoor-folding-table.product.100157958.html) which has adjustable legs and bigger tabletop. Hope this helps and wish you have an awesome camping trip in couple of weeks 👍👍😁

    Keep up the content, it's very enjoyable! thanks for getting back to me regarding the heater from your first video, I stumpled on your channel because I was looking for review on the kodiak tent, I've actually ordered one and waiting for it to arrive, are you planning on keeping it? let me know what you like and don't like about it, also let me know if you're interested in selling it, mine is on back ordered and I'm afraid it might not arrive till late in the summer. I'm from Abbotsford, BC, so it's cool to see you camping at the local spots, how are you getitng reservation for camping spots, it's near damn impossible around here! lol

    • @campbobear
      @campbobear  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for the support ❤ We are definitely keeping our Kodiak tent! My original shipping date was 2-3 months as well but they ended up shipping within a month. Hopefully you get yours soon 🤞🏻I think it's too long to list what I like about it lol, so I'll focus on the very few things that I don't like about it. 1) It's big and heavy (~20kg) 2) It is very difficult to dry the tent if you live in a small apartment like me. My living room is small so I have to be creative (fold it half and dry it for couple of days, fold it the other way for couple of days, etc). If you have a garage or backyard, no issue at all. I book my trips 2 months in advance (maximum allowed advanced booking) but even then it's almost impossible for this year. I think a lot of people are camping since they can't travel 😭I'll give you a small tip though. Their website refreshes at 7 am PST for new bookings. So for instance, if you try to book June 26th (2 months from time of this writing April 26th 1am), it will show green box with black line through it saying it's not available. That box turns green for booking at 7 am PST. I hope this makes sense. Even with this, it's incredibly difficult to book lol I wish you luck and let me know if you have any other questions 🙋🏻‍♂️

    • @doanhuynh2614
      @doanhuynh2614 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@campbobear Yeah, I know about the 7AM and the 2 months window, it's sitll near impossible, I managed to book some in the summer but mostly just Sundays tho. Watching your videos really makes me want to get out there, but my son is still too young for the colder/wet weather so I need to wait till summer. Regarding the heater, can you give me the make and model? also where did you get the Teepee Coleman tent, it's pretty cool. Funny thing about your new axe, I had ordered the exact same one, I ended up returning it because quality on mine was terrible, there was too much gap between the handle and axe head, and the eye of the axe was splintered, ended up picking up a Fiskar x7 Cabella's, and order a Gransfor Bruks Small forest axe, which is also delayed, like everything else. Seems like we have very similar tastes when it comes to camping gears, lol. P.S. My wife adores your dog.

    • @campbobear
      @campbobear  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@doanhuynh2614 Yea Sundays you can get lucky but Saturdays though..😓 The heater model is Kerosun Sunsprite but this is a really old model. The new models are called Toyotomi (Kerosun changed their company name) Rainbow. I got mine for 50 dollars on FB Marketplace. Not many people use kerosene heaters anymore so they tend to go for around 50-100 dollars in 2nd hand market. Coleman Teepee tent was purchased directly from Amazon.jp (www.amazon.co.jp/-/en/dp/B08P5D4YHP/?coliid=I5B9P90ZGLGMQ&colid=1CB58B3FOT93E&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it) Shipping + duties are automatically calculated during the checkout. They give you a refund if the actual duties are less than their estimate. I ended up getting ¥2,990 (about 33 dollars) in refund. Now that you mention it, my axe seems to be splintered at the top 😅 I'll try to shoot more footage of Miku for you guys next time 😊

    • @campbobear
      @campbobear  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@doanhuynh2614 Oh I forgot to mention. Kerosene heaters are very hot (might be dangerous for your son) and they need plenty of ventilation to use. Please keep those in mind!

    I love your videos! Always funny and relaxing! Anyway, I'm glad you upgraded your hatchet, but I'm worried about your safety. Always kneel when you use a short axe or hatchet so it hits the ground before it hits your leg if it misses or glances off the wood. Or you can lay the wood sideways and sort of tap with the hatchet. "Gideonstactical" just released a great video on hatchet safety. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us!
