We have been so curious for seeing more user footage from the Vazen. So great to see a comparison. This was great! Hopefully we start getting more anamorphic options.
IMO the Sirui flares and bokeh aren’t pronounced enough versus just buying a decent anamorfake spherical set and calling it a day, and while the Vazen 28mm is a fantastic little gem, the other two are ham-fisted lumps that sour the set and may as well be replaced with one full Rapido package and a good adapter scope. If I had to pick one improvement to implement on each lineup, it would be these: Sirui should integrate oval aperture mechanisms to augment their weak squeeze factor aesthetic, and Vazen should ditch the front diopter lenses in favor of filling out the set with primes that use the focusing design of the 28mm.
Great video! Just used the Vazen 40mm with a Blackmagic Pocket 4k for a music video recently - along with an iPhone 11 pro max with a 1.33x adapter on it. Really fun shoot. Definitely been curious about the Sirui's, but at this point I just see so much more "anamorphic quality" from the 1.8 crop factor over the 1.33x, regardless of the brand. That's the biggest selling point for me. Hoping to get my hands on the Vazen 28mm in the not-too-distant future. Between the 28 and 40 it really does feel like you can cover darn near everything you'd want to cover in a professional shoot.
When you can get 5 Sirui lenses for the price of 1 Vazen lens, the choice is clear. Go with Sirui. Thanks for this video. I just pick-up the Sirui 75mm a couple week ago on Sale at B&H. Love this Vid, thanks dude! You Rock...you do understand (unlike 1.8x squeeze) with a 1.33x squeeze factor you shouldn't shoot in 4:3 mode, (which is what it seems the info in the video states) but in the normal 16x9 settings on your micro four thirds camera system, right? which probably explains why the circles aren't perfect and shapes slightly change as you move closer to, or farther away from the focal point in your composition. When I first got my Sirui 50mm I couldn't wait to put my GH5 in anamorphic mode and test the lens, but all the footage looked crazy according to proper de-squeeze ratios, did a little research and Sirui confirmed that 1.33x squeeze factor is designed to be acquired in normal 16x9 ration and then de-squeezed 1.33 times. I've been using the Sirui quite a lot since I bought the 35mm and the 50mm. They are very nice lenses for the price but there's a big default on both lenses and it's the inconsistence of the 1.33 squeeze ratio. Depending which distance the subject is from the camera, it's not always a 1.33. At close range subjects are wider than «normal» and at long range they shrink. So that's a "think about it" before shooting a project with it.
I really wish we could have the more distorted look of the Vazen's, but with the near perfect focus of the Sirui's. Especially on the wider lenses, I love that look of the image exponentially curving at the edges. Price is the main factor for me, but the poor wide-open performance of the Vazen's is another reason to go with Sirui.
Price of the Sirui is quite tempting but I agree with others saying the look feels too artificial. I think the plan here is to either rent or save up for an Atlas lens 😅
Siriu seems a better option even for established filmmakers, the difference in image is not that noticeable to compensate for the price difference. I got 2 Siriu and 1 Vazen and I end up shooting the Siriu most of the time.
Excellent comparison, Tito. Thanks for doing this. One question for you that wasn't addressed in the video - how do these lens sets compare in terms of distortion? It seems the Vazen has stronger anamorphic traits in general (aside from the flaring which seems to be pretty similar), but the Vazens seem to have more of a swirl effect and classic edge distortion.
Very good point. I didn't address it in the voice overs, but it's pretty easy to spot it on the footage itself. I also have a much bigger shootout/comparison coming out later that includes distortion charts for 25+ anamorphic lenses under $10k. So stay tuned!
Excellent video! I think Sirui has successfully disrupted the professional lens market in general much like Meike. They have shown that there is definitely a place and a future for small sensor cameras. In terms of bang for buck, Sirui takes it home. I was able to afford all three sets without a small loan and honestly most of the 'issues' they might have can be addressed in post. I also watched your video response to Potato Jet's criticism and I definitely agree with you. When it comes to lens you have to look at things in context, I don;t think he say it that way. The image quality between any of these and a Cooke anamorphic which I have used is so small that it would be odd not to try these out before shelling out money rent ot purchase for the ARRIs and Cookes. I think Vazen is an amazing piece of optical engineering but for them to be competitive at least in context of Sirui they need to be priced below $2000 and probably less as a set. The extra squeeze factor, the orange flares are all awesome and desirable but they are not 'better' than Sirui's look. I also wonder why there is a bit of inconsistency between cameras. Otherwise I am happy to own the Sirui set. I would however buy one of the Vazen's if I ever found a ridiculous deal.
The 1.33 stretch with the Sirui isnt enough... I want my anamorphic to look like anamorphic. Since the squeeze factor changes while focusing, its a deal breaker. However, it’s unique for some people. However, if vazen can make a s35 version with EF/PL for less than $5000 (which the 40mm and 65 are good candidates) then I would find a way to come up with the money for the full set. The market is looking for these lenses. At the 40 and 65 with an EF/PL would sell extremely fast.
Honestly, we just need Vazen to release a full set of their lenses using the 28mm focusing method. It’s the only one of their line that stand out to me from their competitors in their market segment. I know it takes more research, but clearly they have the skills with the 28mm and can hit the price point (or even let it climb a little for the size advantage).
28mm is the same design as Sirui and far less interesting. if you dont rack focus and if you use this 29mm on a drone or gimbal then yes its far more practical. But if you want to rack focus with a talent in a shot 28mm would be next to useless.
@@AnamorphicOnABudget I got the 24 yesterday! No, the 65 and 40mm from Vazen. I loved your 65mm review and the footage looked great. Saving for that one down the line. Still paying off the 28....
am i the only person that see's Vazen lenses is really poor at quality?i hear people saying its a unique look but come on we all know that blurriness is poor glass. nice job sirui on the clarity of your glass. it look really good with the squeeze factors.
@@AnamorphicOnABudget Thanks for your response. I should’ve put in quotations “cinematic look”. Basically I’d love to watch your breakdown on what looks these two lenses have to offer. I understand “cinematic” is subjective. I’m a newbie and I haven’t even begun to start filming. I’ve been debating these two lenses for over a year now. I have the look and feel in my mind I’d like to journey towards. I thought your comparison would help me choose which lenses would offer me the best chance at achieving what I’m going for. Thank you.
If my client wants 16:9, is there any downside to shooting on my Sirui 50 anamorphic in 4k on my black magic and cropping it to 16:9 after desqueezing? I’m new to videography and am wondering whether I need to invest in spherical lenses or i can keep buying more anamorphic.
I think the optical performance on the vazen is very poor. I’d much rather just get something like a cinematics rehousing of the Sirui as they are far more acceptable. Tbh I think the vazen visuals are extremely obvious, every time I see footage with them used I just think they are waaaaaaay to soft and fuzzy, and not in a “filmic” way. I would grab the Sirui but they will be coming out with a FF set and I’d rather not poor money into rehousing the current lineup if I’m just going to turn around and purchase the FF... for now I will stick with renting anamorphic cine lenses on jobs that require them and using my la7200 on smaller projects.
Thank you for your enthusiasm and these very interesting tests, a long time ago, I was making scope (x2) in 16mm (1.33) film for low budget short films, and the 16mm anamorphic "inflated" editing in 35mm copy, it could be shown in the cinema in scope. I needed a "primary" C-mount lens and a front projection Scope lens, I didn't want to redo this installation with hybrid cameras, and here are the "Sirui"! Before seeing your video, I thought that the 1.33 compression was insufficient to give the "scope" effect in blurry areas, and I was delighted to see the possibility of having the sensor arrive on the GH4, Gh5 square to make the Scope with "x2" compression, but the Scope lenses were still very expensive ... But ... I'm still in Gh4 there is now the full frame Lumix S5 for the same price as the Gh5 which would seem to be even better for the Scope (in general), but ... it seems to me that the Scope Sirui lenses do not work with the Lumix S5, so I ask this question: would the Sirui scope work with the Lumix S5, would the final quality be better than with a Lumix Gh5? Thank you !
Tito, muitos parabéns, garoto! With your videos I understood the concepts of anamorphic, I have shot with Ulanzi on my phone to sense the ideia of framing, field of view and those notions. I shoot only personal family videos, and the price point of the Sirui 50mm on an used Sony A7sII (plus diopters and wide angle adapters) gives me still budget for some spherical lenses for photo as well as a drone for shooting family vacations. Thanks for the content you put out for guys "on a budget".
Thank you for this video! To be honest, I don't know what it is, but I liked the results of the sirui the best, even if the price was the same, I just liked the sirui more, especially the 35mm. I'm just wondering if ×1.33 sirui anamorphic lens experience when using a panasonic full frame camera is the same as with gh5/6...? On x1.5 crop sensor sirui 35mn looks really nice. for mft 35mm sirui, this focal length I would say looks great ouside. I didn' try that, but occasionally, when I need wide angle lens, I think maybe it's not a bad idea to use my MFT 10.5mm and 17.5mm voigtlander spherical lenses with wide aspect ratio?
Hey Tito, I've seen some mumps in the surui and I don't really like it. Do you know of a remedy? Moving shots to close focus (dolly push shots) are when it's rather obvious. I really hope you know how to solve that; *post production app?
Because I'm using a diopter to set infinity focus at a manageable range (1m/3ft). I can't actually put an object at infinity focus in my house. hahahah
Hey Tito, for the 28mm I remember you saying its focusing mechanism was a "Variable Astigmitizer" or something like that. Do have more information on that particular method? Any articles or websites I can read? I am curious. Always love your videos!
We’re there any differences in coverage on the ZCAM? The Suiri obviously performs perfectly on the E2 S6, but was wondering if the Vazen was able to cover the Super 35 sensor well.
as a Z Cam user I'm so tempted to tip my toe into the Vazen lenses although I have one question, If I have one Anamorphic lens does that mean I'd have to shoot everything at that one focal range? For example, I use the 18-35mm sigma, would I still be able to use this alongside a Vazen lens in a video? Or would it look ridiculous?
Thank you for the very informative comparison. Now I don't feel so bad about the 1.33 squeeze on my Sirui (to help you out, think of it like "Sue-Ray").
i´ll going to change my full frame equipment for micro 4:3. Gh5 + vazen 28 = 3600 Euros. Amazing 1.8x anamorphic. Sirui is 1.5x don´t make the anamorphic effect at all for me
Thanks a lot. I just wonder in "if will use it for wedding highlights , wich should be best : the 35 or 24 Srui" taking consideration in DOF and angle og view?
@@AnamorphicOnABudget Muchas gracias Tito.
I am confused. Vazen does cover s35 as it is also available in RF and I shoot one on Komodo and it covered like 95% of the sensor. Why do you say otherwise?
Hello from Mexico!! Great video. Im planing to get a set of the 3 Sirui. My Question is if will they vignette on my Sony fs7. And what will happen on a full sensor of the fx9?
after all, it's not like the Vazens behave like a set. And while the Sirui 35 and 24 grade well together, the 50mm has a different coating anyways. I'm not sure how okay it is to mix squeeze factors tho... thoughts, Tito?
The world test in the beginning of this video is intercutting all six lenses. It was a breeze to do, so I don't see a challenge as long as you do proper white balancing while shooting. :)
For my 3.2k is to much to spend my money on. If money wasnt a issue.... ill take vazen for there rake focus ability. But for now sirui as a introduction to anamorphic is the best option to play with. My other dislike is the minimal focus distance of the sirui lens.... I like close up shots. Hope sirui make bether focus distance. For now lights then anamorphic sirui lenses. 24 35 50mm is great... But i rather want very wide like 16mm or wider without distortion of the look. 35mm and 50 mm is great love those 2 focul length on the gh5 but some times i use 70mm to... Its oké it aint coming to the market
You mean Potato Jet? I cover this subject at 7:47. It's not an innaccuracy, but a side effect of the lens design. I also talk about it in all my other Sirui reviews.
One set of lenses looks and acts anamorphic, another not so much, but I still think most of the projection scopes you can buy are optically superior to the Vazen, which makes chalking up the money for a Vazen or an Atlas a harder pill to swallow
I really wish Sirui was more consistent in their engineering. It's annoying that I need to change my entire system if I want to shoot with Sirui lenses. They should have just made a lens that was in between a DSLR/mirrorless and sold adapters for every mirrorless mount.
VAZEN 28mm can NOT cover s35 circle??? someone says using SONY's clear image zoom, it's 1.4x crop on full frame...and in the episode u made about VAZEN 28mm, u used APSC(1.5x) of a7s2, it looks covering bigger than APSC(1.5x)...
Of course the vazen lok more "anamorphic" and the squeeze difference in the focus is a bummer...but the price difference is too huge to justify...an to transform and rescale/ refreeze close ups...is done in seconds in my opinion.
Yes, space in the anamorphic aspect ratio is the essence! All that fixation about oval background bokeh and blue horizontal flairs, is a product of the "Star Bores" generation, weaned on CGI and SFX. Imagine classical Cinemascope Westerns and true narrative films being fixated by those artifacts! They would have been considered as the aberrations which they are, and would have been painstakingly eliminated!
1.33 is still born! yes it is interesting amateur option but there is no justification shooting narrative on 1.33. Vazen is on a right track but 28mm is a step in wrong direction. it is interesting lens for drone or gimbal but i dont see how useful this lens would be in the narrative taking in consideration that it mumps same as Sirui. Vazen is still rough at edges and it needs a more RnD, but V2 version of this lenses is going to be more interesting. as long as there is 4:3 small sensor cameras this system will be viable. we are waiting for 2x 35mm or even 42mm Chinese lens for 3500$ and who ever makes it they will take market by storm. So far no one is challenging Atlas
The Vazen 28 is not the same mechanics as Sirui and it doesn't mump. If anything, I find it the most technically advanced in the set, along with the full frame 85mm.
Vazen 28mm does not have any mumps. It does have coma below T2.8 but this is the only noticeable imperfection. And I absolutely disagree with not using Vazen for narrative work. Any lens can be used for narrative filmmaking if it serves the story, mood etc.
RED is not mirrorless camera. there is a rather complicated sensor cradel that allows physical adjustment of the position of he sensor and there is an user swappable Optical low pass filter in front of the sensor. All this resulted in the deep position of the sensor within the DSMC2 body. In the other words DSMC2 Red is impossible to be adapted to RF E Z or any other mirrirles mount
I actually am not a fan of the overly exaggerated lens flares on either one of these lenses so I will not be getting either one of these. If Moondog mage an anamorphic lens for full frames,I would totally get it because their cellphone anamorphic has the best lens flare of the mobile anamorphics.
Hi! I have the Leica 10-25mm F1.7. Do I really need an anamorphic lens? (I think that the 35mm anamorphic 1.33x would mean shooting at 25mm with the Leica).
I havn't the budget but i prefer the Vazen for one reason, the squeeze factor, with 1.33 or 1.66 the effect on the bokeh is to liitle. The flare you can buy a filter blue streak or other color. And for finish, when you use a 4/3 sensor x1.8 or x2 (hum hum 4/3 mode on panasonic S) you have a very good final aspect ratio. I prefer rent a lens before because it's an other way to shoot.
@@AnamorphicOnABudget at your field of view section around 7 minutes 8 seconds you show the measurement being taller than it is wide but clearly it's wider than it is tall. Unless I'm missing something?

Especially on the wider lenses, I love that look of the image exponentially curving at the edges. Price is the main factor for me, but the poor wide-open performance of the Vazen's is another reason to go with Sirui.
The one thing the Sirui doesn't cater for is the consistent focus ring position across focal lengths, like some ciné lenses do.
very thorough and detailed review, thank you
Price of the Sirui is quite tempting but I agree with others saying the look feels too artificial.
Pasa el tiempo y tus videos son cada vez mejor. Un abrazo Tito!
Wow this is an incredible review. Thank you.
Give me atleast 1.75x - 2x!
@@itsdouglasjohnson 1.8 stretch is weird. A 1.75 is weirder 😂 But regardless we need something to fill the gaps in anamorphic on a budget
@@JitDawgBruhDang 1.75x is perfectly fine, better than 1.33. 1.5x isnt even enough. 2x or bust
really great work man, I appreciate your efforts.
I prefer the versatility of the 1.33 as I can get my ground camera to match my drone camera footage...
Excellent point there.
Amazing work, as always. You're a legend.
This exactly. Those other two are unwieldy.
28mm is the same design as Sirui and far less interesting. if you dont rack focus and if you use this 29mm on a drone or gimbal then yes its far more practical. But if you want to rack focus with a talent in a shot 28mm would be next to useless.
Tito is superb as always. This information is GOLD for the community. Happy to own four of these six lenses. Great times.
I'm guessing the two missing ones are Sirui 24 and Vazen 65. Did I get it?
@@AnamorphicOnABudget I got the 24 yesterday! No, the 65 and 40mm from Vazen. I loved your 65mm review and the footage looked great. Saving for that one down the line. Still paying off the 28....
am i the only person that see's Vazen lenses is really poor at quality?i hear people saying its a unique look but come on we all know that blurriness is poor glass. nice job sirui on the clarity of your glass. it look really good with the squeeze factors.
Will you do a Sirui vs Vazen cinematic look comparison? Please tag me. I have the original bmpcc. Thanks. Great video!!! I appreciate it.
I'd love to know what that even means. What's a "cinematic look comparison"?
@@AnamorphicOnABudget Thanks for your response. I should’ve put in quotations “cinematic look”. Basically I’d love to watch your breakdown on what looks these two lenses have to offer. I understand “cinematic” is subjective. I’m a newbie and I haven’t even begun to start filming. I’ve been debating these two lenses for over a year now. I have the look and feel in my mind I’d like to journey towards. I thought your comparison would help me choose which lenses would offer me the best chance at achieving what I’m going for. Thank you.
I’ve been leaning heavily towards Vazen.
Another great video Tito!
video excelente, já que vc tem acesso a um zcam, eu queria mtooo ver uma comparação entre as vazen e as atlas.
Super review, relaxed and So Well planned … lots of respect 😲✌️
If my client wants 16:9, is there any downside to shooting on my Sirui 50 anamorphic in 4k on my black magic and cropping it to 16:9 after desqueezing? I’m new to videography and am wondering whether I need to invest in spherical lenses or i can keep buying more anamorphic.
If you want to deliver 16:9 and still shoot anamorphic, you can shoot it in 4:3, and that will desqueeze to 16:9! :)
Epic review. Best ever on TH-cam
Obrigado Alex! I'm really glad the content is helping out! And not everything has to be a movie! :D
I ordered the sirui 35 and 75mm. Do you think it’s a good combo? I will use it on my GH5.
Yep!
Great, thorough info, thank you!
Thanks for your the job. 9:07 Why when you test sirui at infinity, the background is still out of focus?
Because I'm using a diopter to set infinity focus at a manageable range (1m/3ft). I can't actually put an object at infinity focus in my house. hahahah
@@AnamorphicOnABudget thank you. You are cool 🙂
where can I download the lut vitamin A? thank
Thank you for the review! What are the best Anamorphic lens brand options do you recommend for the Canon r5?
Hey Tito, for the 28mm I remember you saying its focusing mechanism was a "Variable Astigmitizer" or something like that. Do have more information on that particular method? Any articles or websites I can read? I am curious. Always love your videos!
Digging the Ned Stark hair
Thank you! It'll go on for a while!
We’re there any differences in coverage on the ZCAM? The Suiri obviously performs perfectly on the E2 S6, but was wondering if the Vazen was able to cover the Super 35 sensor well.
Only the Vazen 65mm can cover S35, the other ones can't. :(
as a Z Cam user I'm so tempted to tip my toe into the Vazen lenses although I have one question, If I have one Anamorphic lens does that mean I'd have to shoot everything at that one focal range? For example, I use the 18-35mm sigma, would I still be able to use this alongside a Vazen lens in a video? Or would it look ridiculous?
It would mostly work fine, most of your clients wouldn't be able to tell the actual difference, but feel there's something different going on.
Apart from costs, the question should be how each of these lenses can enhance our story telling in the way we envisioned it.
Thank you for the very informative comparison. Now I don't feel so bad about the 1.33 squeeze on my Sirui (to help you out, think of it like "Sue-Ray").
AAAH, finally someone explaining this in writing. Thank you Jon!
Do you recommend a Vazen rental service?
Great comparison!
Do you have any additional thoughts on the 2x SLR Magic Anamorphot lenses they released for MFT a few years ago?
I have a review for those coming up in the near future. The case with the three lenses is just staring at me right now. :)
i´ll going to change my full frame equipment for micro 4:3. Gh5 + vazen 28 = 3600 Euros. Amazing 1.8x anamorphic. Sirui is 1.5x don´t make the anamorphic effect at all for me
Sirui is 1.33x, not 1.5x. Even worse :)
@@StringerBell yes! It,s true
Think about z cam
Thanks a lot. I just wonder in "if will use it for wedding highlights , wich should be best : the 35 or 24 Srui" taking consideration in DOF and angle og view?
I think the 35mm is the most versatile option because you can get fairly wide, but close ups won't look weird either.
@@AnamorphicOnABudget Muchas gracias Tito.
I am confused. Vazen does cover s35 as it is also available in RF and I shoot one on Komodo and it covered like 95% of the sensor. Why do you say otherwise?
Covering 95% of the sensor is not covering the full sensor! That's why. hahaha
Great comparison with a lot of good insights!
Would you recommend a Sirui anamorphic lens for an S1H?
Yes, but they don't come in L mount by default.
Hi thanks for the video quick question, can i use the sirui with a metabones speed booster 0.71 to get an apsc look?
No. :(
haha oops you beat us... was gonna do this w/ (and for) my friend!
Do it anyway! I'd love to see as many comparisons of these lens sets as possible!
Yes, do it!
Would loved to have seen more actual footage. These types of lenses are all about character imo.
I can't find this answer anywhere what kinds of adapters are people using for the Vazen 40mm to put on a Lumix S5??
None. No one is doing that. :(
@@AnamorphicOnABudget Ah damn so it’s not possible? Thanks for the reply
Not possible, at least not yet.
@@AnamorphicOnABudget If I put a MFT to E mount adapter on my Vazen 40mm could I then get an E mount to L mount and put it on my LUMIX S5?
Hello from Mexico!!
Great video. Im planing to get a set of the 3 Sirui. My Question is if will they vignette on my Sony fs7. And what will happen on a full sensor of the fx9?
They'll cover S35, so FS7 is okay, but they will vignette hard on the FX9.
Hey, you're also named Tito!
Where do u get this Vitamin A LUT? the footage Looks very nice its your Preset? :)
Thank you! A friend is creating it, but he's not done yet! :P
Would you recommend mixing sets? (28mm vazen plus 50mm and 35mm sirui). How hard are these to intercut?
after all, it's not like the Vazens behave like a set.
Thanks for sharing !!
I saw one review of the Sirui complaining about breathing affecting the Desqueeze accuracy. Anything like that happen to you?
You mean Potato Jet? I cover this subject at 7:47. It's not an innaccuracy, but a side effect of the lens design. I also talk about it in all my other Sirui reviews.
@@AnamorphicOnABudget thanks Tito!
Would love a test on an ARRI XT 😁
How much do regular anamorphic lenses cost?
by standards before 2019, above $30k.
VAZEN 28mm can NOT cover s35 circle??? someone says using SONY's clear image zoom, it's 1.4x crop on full frame...and in the episode u made about VAZEN 28mm, u used APSC(1.5x) of a7s2, it looks covering bigger than APSC(1.5x)...
probably the best thing you can do with vazen´s its going for rental options. waiting to someone to do that in Spain.
Pretty great video.
Of course the vazen lok more "anamorphic" and the squeeze difference in the focus is a bummer...but the price difference is too huge to justify...an to transform and rescale/ refreeze close ups...is done in seconds in my opinion.
all videos should be so well structured
You mean all of my videos, or all videos out there? :)
Yes, space in the anamorphic aspect ratio is the essence!
All that fixation about oval background bokeh and blue horizontal flairs, is a
product of the "Star Bores" generation, weaned on CGI and SFX.
There is a company adapting the sirui lenses for the Komodo RF mount. Rehousing the lenses
Muy útil, me será necesario una Siriu 35mm. Muchas gracias por el vídeo!
waiting for Mister Anamorphic to test the new Sirui, 50mm full frame coming soon ;-)
Man, you are like Anamorphic oracle.
Hahaha, I love the title. :P
Vazen looks very filmic.
Vazen work on RED epic dragon 6k? Thanks
no its MFT and FFD is shorter the Red DSMC flange.
No, as Luka S put it.
@@cikaziva thanks; even If i have a Canon attachment for the lenses?
RED is not mirrorless camera. there is a rather complicated sensor cradel that allows physical adjustment of the position of he sensor and there is an user swappable Optical low pass filter in front of the sensor. All this resulted in the deep position of the sensor within the DSMC2 body. In the other words DSMC2 Red is impossible to be adapted to RF E Z or any other mirrirles mount
Both not usable on professional workflow, the breathing is just hugly.
Nice review
,thanks, you save me much research.
I'm soooooooo here for this! Lol
Are the Vazen mounts tighter than Sirui? Sirui lens mounts are sloppy by nature.
I actually am not a fan of the overly exaggerated lens flares on either one of these lenses so I will not be getting either one of these. If Moondog mage an anamorphic lens for full frames,I would totally get it because their cellphone anamorphic has the best lens flare of the mobile anamorphics.
The Vazen is so good. Better than my sankor 16c
It really is. A lovely set with great charm
Hi! I have the Leica 10-25mm F1.7. Do I really need an anamorphic lens? (I think that the 35mm anamorphic 1.33x would mean shooting at 25mm with the Leica).
no one really *needs* an anamorphic lens! It's a stylistic choice for certain projects! :)
I'm starting to realise that shooting with FF for budget projects I can start to forget the anamorphic world XD
I'm pretty sure you have your field of view measurements backwards...the frame is nearly twice as wide as it is tall, not the other way around....
I'm veery confused by this comment. I even went to the video to try and understand what you mean, but I could not. I stand by my numbers.
@@AnamorphicOnABudget at your field of view section around 7 minutes 8 seconds you show the measurement being taller than it is wide but clearly it's wider than it is tall. Unless I'm missing something?
