I think they can sign Bregman and Alonso. Then they can make Vientos the dh. This lineup would then rival the Dodgers' lineup for the best in the NL.

@@MayaguezMets62 Vientos no doubt third baseman no doubt.... Crazy thing is Baty may bust out hitting like George Brett on steroids...... No room for Breg. If anything Mets trade McNeil or Baty with others for a top starter..... Tough decisions all around.... Vientos already proved himself.... McNeil when healthy can drive pitchers crazy and possibly when another batting title.... Baty in my opinion ready to break out offensively..... Tough decisions.... Last thing on Mets mind should be Breg..... They need to Sign Alonso and get pitching... A lot of pitching..... @@MayaguezMets62 That would be interesting. Keith Hernandez o e of the greatest 1bm of all time has been impressed by how good Alonso became at first. Vientos has shown great glove work one day then looks like a rookie the next. We know Breg can field but seriously stats so over inflated that he hits at bad news bears little league field. Would be interesting if they did end up with them all.... Pitching much more a priority..... Alonso has plus plus power which Citi needs and Vientos just proved himself....my guess is Breg would hit about 220 with a 400 slug at Citi.... I'll pass on Breg and go for pitching. Bregman is/was excellent yet as a Mets fan he is the least absolute least of our needs. Vientos proved himself already, Baty is ready to break out, McNeil was hitting the ball super hard after coming back from injury but just kept hitting line drives right at players. Last thing Mets need is Bregman. They need at least two starting top pitchers and as of now don't have one. We'll I guess if you drink the injury prone Kodi Senga kool-aid than Ya have an ace...... Senga looked terrified in playoffs and was healthy as anything. Have to get Manaea back and a few more pitchers. Lineup will not be a problem if Mets resign Alonso. Lord oh Lord has anyone at all looked at Mets current top 5 pitchers..... No joke seriously no joke I think two of them would not make my high school team..... Montas really Montas..... Guys been washed up for five straight years and he's slated in 4 spot. Wtf Cohen laid out all the Cash for Soto which all Mets fans love but if starters and relievers letting up 6.5 runs a game they will go 81-81 at best..... Wtf GM do something before it's too late..... Maybe Mets have a secret Sid Finch ready to come up????? Only old school Mets fans will get the Sid Finch April fools joke.

    Some Bregman facts:
    - Peaked in 2019
    - 2024 he had the lowest OPS of 9 yr career
    - OBP dropped nearly 50 points
    - recently had surgery on throwing elbow
    - wants 200 million over 8 years

I’d rather have Pete back. He is already acclimated in the Mets system. If you’re a long time Met, you know how it is when we acquire a new player. It takes some time for him to get started. Pete is already there and he’s been with us for years now. Although he didn’t have a great year as normal, he did great things throughout the year and still had a better year than Bergman. Mets, please sign Pete back, Soto will compliment him in the lineup.

    • @innovation-n-ideas1639

If we lose Pete to the Yankees we’ve lost a legacy and a power bat so we haven’t gain much by just signing Soto. We need to stop going halfway and complete the process to make this great team greater. Come on Mets organization, you’ve gone this far to sign Soto, now let’s finish the job. We need a few more players to compete with the Dodgers and the Yankees if we let them steal Pete from us. I don’t wanna be second to the best. I wanna next to the best or better.

Bregman is a perfect fit and gives positional versatility now and long term. For example sign Bregman then sign Carlos Santana as a stop gap 1B to Vlad Jr next year and allow Vientos to learn behind Bregman and still gives the young guys a shot at 2B to prove themselves this season and if they don’t you can move Bregman to 2B long term Vientos back to 3B and sign Vlad Jr at 1B. He’s also the perfect 2 hole hitter between Lindor and Soto. Astros had alot of injuries this year so that’s why Bergman’s numbers are down in OPS he was pressing but once the Astros got healthy in the 2nd half he took off because he had protection in the lineup. His 2nd half stats are .266 avg, .519 slug, .833 ops

Why didn’t Juan Soto return back to San Diego Padres they have better talent than the Mets and Yankees. They have a better chance of multiple World Series championships than both of the New York teams. Did he win the MVP when he was there? What about a batting title? I would like someone to please answer that. I would like to hear an unbiased opinion, not a fans opinion.

From what I understand, the Padres traded Soto to the Yankees because they they couldnt afford to resign him. Unfortunatly after Peter Seidler died, there was a big emphasis at cutting back payroll. Soto apparently loved Seidler, things changed drastically when he passed. Soto never won an MVP

David Stearns get on the line with Toronto and give them Baty, Mc Neil, Mauricio and Azocar, for Vladdy before they lose him for nothing.
Baty would be a nice addition to Bichette, and Gimmenez. They could sign Pete to complete their new infield. McNeil would be a swiss army knife utility guy that could back anyone up in the infield and start in left fielld or be their star pinch hitter. Mauricio can be their future. Meanwhile we start the season with a lineup like this:
    Ss Lindor
    Cf Nimmo
    3b Vientos
    Lf Soto
    1b Guerrero
    C Alvarez
    Dh Marte
    Rf Taylor
    2b Acuna
Bench: Siri, Torrens, Winker, De Los Santos
Six man Rotation: Senga, Montas, Peterson, Megill, Blackburn and Holmes
Bullpen: Nunez, Butto, Brazoban, Reid-Foley , Young
    Closers: Garret and Diaz

I don't want bregman! I don't know what their issue is with Pete but it's absolutely ridiculous that you want to give away the production that Alonzo gives. Not replaceable! This team is not all in they're just not. Why do I even have to trade any of my top prospects when I can just go out and sign free agents like Burns. It's a joke.

    • @joesutherland9354
      @joesutherland9354 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

There issue is they see with Pete is that he is declining just like every unbiased Mets fan can see that. He’s HR or strikeout. His production is absolutely replaceable y’all are infatuated with HR’s there is way more to baseball than HR’s. Carlos Santana can give you better defense a switch hitter and gives you 25+ HR power at 1B for way cheaper and shorter term just to get Vlad Jr next year. Bregman is the perfect fit for this Mets lineup in the 2 hole between Lindor and Soto he also gives the Mets positional versatility and allows Vientos to be able to learn behind Bregman and allows the young prospects to prove themselves this year and if they don’t pan out the following year you move Bregman to 2B long term Vientos to 3B and have Vlad Jr at 1B. They aren’t trading for Vlad Jr same way they didn’t trade for Soto they would rather pay him in FA
