No worries, this version gets blocked quite heavily, so glad you were able to get this up. PS, Babymetal just re-released this concert for BluRay (Legend M), along with Legend S. Moa and Su's 20th birthday shows, respectively.
No problem with the logo, we understand. TH-cam clearly doesn't want me to comment ... GAnimal83's own comment is closest to what I've been trying to say.
This trilogy is so amazing. The first one breaks you down, the second one gives you emotional catharsis, and the third one builds you up and pushes you on. Babymetal LITERALLY changed my life.
nice reaction. Mikio Fujioka, who sadly passed away in 2018 due to an accident during an astronomical observation. Rest in peace, wonderful guitarist Mikio Fujioka🎸
we as the "ONE" always find out who our Kami band guys are because of the important job that they are tasked with doing and we always appreciate them and several of us follow their careers outside of BABYMETAL. So yeah this is one of my all time favorites, especially this particular version for a couple of reason, one being it was Moa's 20th birthday and this was the debut of this song, I was lucky enough to witness in person a later performance of this song at their 1st arena show in America in LA at the Forum, where the 3 person choreography was introduced, so if and when they ever play it again it will be with the new BABYMETAL with Momo.
Great reaction. When you get emotional, we get emotional, believe me. Su's voice has brought a tear to my eyes on 4 songs. Akatsuki, No Rain no Rainbow, Shine, and Monocrome, one song on each album. I'm waiting to hear what the song is on album 5. My brain processes Su's voice in a strange way. It's as if i see her voice as light in my minds eye rather than just hear it. Strange, but im sure someone else knows what i mean.
I love this performance of Shine so much. Just Su and Moa, the lyrics talking about going on their path whether it be in darkness or the light. With all they have been through, this encapsulates everything about the relationship of Su and Moa. If they would've walked off the stage holding hands together, it would've brought down the arena. In an interview called The Babymetal Chronicles where they talked about their concerts and albums, Su said that in this performance though they never touched, she felt they were connected in their dance. In case you were wondering why it was just 2 of them, this was the period of Babymetal after Yui left and they were performing as a duo, and they had 3 rotating dancers known as The Avengers to fill in Yui's spot, Momoko the new member was one of the rotating dancers before she was made official.
What makes Suzuka a good singer is not so much her technique (she doesn't actually know many techniques) but the fact that she has a good sense of music and conveys singing through emotions. This makes her sound very soulful.
This is my favourite version of Shine. The reason is because of Moa's choreography. I can feel the emotion in her connection with the guitar (which may represent Mikio RIP😢). Moa's dancing is literally a story in itself. Now add Su-Metal's singing and the Kami Bands music, and I am just an emotional wreck. Now, onto Arkadia! Again, you will get emotional, but it will make you feel better. 🤘🦊🤘
I love this performance - and I really like Moa dancing solo for a while - it always impresses me to see her on stage alone, and she never disappoints.
I really appreciate your heartfelt reactions guys. You touched on something towards the end that I'll try to reiterate. I believe that the amazing stages and lighting and all that show BM's appreciation of their fans. But consider all that's going on: music, lights, moving stages just everything. Have you ever seen Babymetal themselves get lost in all that. How easy would it be for someone who didn't have that "it" factor, that presence, that emotional connection with the fans to just get lost in all that other stuff that's going on. FYI: this was during BM's avenger phase and this song is an homage to Mikio Fujiko their guitarist who passed away. I believe that because of the very personal, emotional content of this song Su and Moa felt here it was best for just them to perform it. It has been performed with an Avenger in other shows. I've heard the guitar Moa is strumming is either one of Mikio's or an exact replica of one of his,.
Babymetal as a group have just gotten better and better over the years. They started as a cute idol type group, and now after so many years they are a trio of nearly perfect musicians and performers. As you have noted basically everything they do is so professional and perfect. With that being said, you REALLY need to make a video on some of their collabs they have done in the last few years. Their song with Bring me the horizon is amazing. Their new song with Electric Callboy is basically perfection too. You should watch BMTH's live video of their collab. The thing I love about these collabs they do as it seems like they open up a bit in a way, you see them smiling and having fun compared to their stone cold professionalism! OH and by the way, since you are doing Japanese rock you would be doing yourself a disservice if you don't watch the live performance of Unravel by Ado. She's a Japanese singer who has blown up to be one of Japan's greatest talents. Her version of the song Unravel from the anime Tokyo Ghoul is beautiful and haunting. She like Baby metal, is one of the few artist who are genuinely better live than in their studio recordings. Please check these out, you wont regret it.
Great reaction, thanks! "Shine" is one of my favorite songs and I still consider this one of Su-metal's finest works as a vocalist. I'm a sucker for that bridge right before the break. It's pretty impressive. We appreciate their work and also all the Kami Band member's. We understand that this group of musicians is top notch and a very important part of BABYMETAL's success, as well as all their team, from songwriters to technicians and all sort of staff. They refer to these people as Team BABYMETAL, also Fox God Crew for concert staff... and the freaking Keanu Reeves for some reason, haha... Now, fasten your seatbelt for "Arkadia". 😁 🤘🦊
⚡ 💕 / 🌟 ✨ They played all three songs in the Trilogy of Lights at this show. 'Starlight' was the 6th song. 'Shine' was the 13th song, and they finished the concert with 'Arkadia'. It's my favorite from the 'trilogy of lights'. And it's from 'Legend M', isn't it? It used to be sold exclusively on The One limited, but it's being re-released this time around, so I'll get it!
Welcome back to the Foxhole. Cool you're following this special set with this unique version of the second part of the Trilogy Of Lights.🦊🤘🔥 Our princess of Nagoya can play the guitar for sure, in this occasion looks like she did play but for some reason the sound didn't come out from the speakers. SuMetal also "played" the piano at Budokan 2021. She dance gracefully in this and she can take your breath away. The two of them are the spotlight because this is so intimate and after Legend S 2017 they didn't performed as a duo and this was the only time they performed this together with no backup dancer around, all the other versions are with the full trio. For me this song talks about the two of them finding each other after such an odd times and MoaMetal is that shining light on the road, the light at the end of the tunnel SuMetal needed to keep travelling her road, now boundlessly together. Some fans think this is like a tribute from Moa to Mikio (our beloved Kami guitarist who sadly passed away) showing him how she became a young adult, not only beautiful but also skilled. She learned some lesson guitar from him while being on tour. Btw this version is also special because it was recorded at BabyMetal Arises: Beyond The Moon - Legend M 2019 MoaMetal 20th Birthday in Nagoya , MoaMetal's birthtown, more cool things happened there.❤ They performed last weekend at Rock Im Park and Rock Am Ring in Germany and oh boi the girls kill it with these show, you gotta see Karate at Rock Am Ring one day, also new cool battle dresses. Thanks for sharing this and see you next time with Arkadia.🦊🤘🔥
In my opinion, everyone involved with Babymetal is at the top of their game. The production team, as you called them, (the stage crew?) is legendary. The kamis are great, but of course they've been replaced over the years. Moa is great, in her own way. Momo is lighting up the fandom. But for me, none of this works without the Queen. She has a special gift, but she's also trained for this her entire life.
Hi me again all the way from Ireland, you definitely one of my favourite babymetal reaction channels, very sincere. As suggested arcadia will top it for you, and another suggested a su metal solo, Jo rain no rainbow, would be a crime not to see that one, Amore is another fantastic su solo 😊
Love you guys. You love Babymetal as much as I do. Going to my 2nd concert in November. Would love to see them in Japan with the big production. Su-Metal doesn't get enough credit for abilities. BM toured with 2 members for a time after Yui left and they were not using an Avenger to fill in. After that they rotated between 3 performers. Then April 2023 they named Momoko as Momometal.
The best version of Shine thanks, guys 😁 agree with everything you said 👍 Moa in an interview, said they practice 6 days a week . I like other bands. i listen to them and then leave it for a while . BabyMetal, i listen and watch every single day and more than once a day . No matter how down, i might start to feel as soon as i hear Su's voice and start to watch BabyMetal. Nothing will get me down . Dont forget BabyMetal. are always positive. I look forward to Arkidia reaction 😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
IF angels exist, they are definitely Japanese! The first few times I listened to the album version of this song, I started crying as soon as Su started to sing. It wasn‘t even the music or the lyrics that touched me, it was the pure sonic sensation of her voice. I have never felt that before. It‘s phenomenal!
My all time favorite performance of this song. This was Moa's 20th bday show so this performance was extra special. Kano (who is also amazing) was the Avenger for this show but took a break to Allow Moa to Shine even more. Su sounded beyond beautiful. Moa's dancing was ethereal and passionate. The eye contact between Su and Moa made this song feel more emotional. And when they dance together, they seem to become one. Not to mention both of these ladies look absolutely beautiful. I tear up every time I see this performance. For many fans this song means something deeper. 🤘🦊🤘
Arkadia. Do Arkadia next. Starlight rips your heart out Shine tears it to shreds Arkadia picks up the pieces, reassembles them with hope, and sets you on the road forward again.
I was gonna ask, was Ohmura here with Mikio's guitar! Haven't watched this performance in a bit myself, so I've forgotten. Thanks for letting us know! That makes it more of a tear jerker as well.. 😢🎸
We love the Kami Band "Trilogy of Light" is about our dearest Mikio. Arkadia is about go back to life , a epic ending to this , and a favourite of a lot of the fans. 🤘🦊
I think the concept of this appearance is a tribute to Mikio (former guitarist kami band). because they show the guitar and leave it at the end of the song. And also the lyrics of this song are about light which is Mikio's favorite thing to see stars 🙏
My favorite song and favorite performance. And objectively one of Su's finest vocal performances. Thanks for doing this version, I love them walking off together at the end, which is rarely ever shown. The 2nd song, about coming to terms with loss. Starlight was great at showing the pain and anger, now comes the acceptance. And Arkadia....Well I won't spoil it. Enjoy!
Amazing, I absolutely love this song. In my personal opinion, I always interpreted this song, in particular this performance at Legend M, to be a tribute to Mikio (RIP), and maybe Yui as well. Mikio passed Jan 2018, and Yui officially left the band Oct 2018. This performance was from Legend M in 2019 for Moa's 20th birthday. To me, Mikio is now the shinning light guiding Babymetal from above, and always shinning in our hearts. Especially poignant was when Su and Moa left behind the guitar center piece, which I believe represents Mikio, as acceptance of his departure from this world to move forward. This is 100% my interpretation, and of course, I can be totally wrong. I wonder if others thought the same? 🤘🦊
I completely agree with your interpretation. I've always thought this version/show performance was the final tribute to Mikio. Too many coincidences for it not too be. But sadly Koba will never say one way or another.
I like the fact that you two feel Babymetal in your reactions. This performance was special but you always connect with the emotions from the first reactions.. 😢 Subscribed 👍🏻
👍 👍 Great job gentlemen You just reacted to one of my top 5 favorite BABYMETAL songs and you have so many more great experiences ahead. I only wish that could experience them again for the first time and relive the sense of awe you are going to feel. Kagerou LIVE with Kami Band intro will show you Suzuka's range once again with a sultry Jazz/Blues infused LIVE masterpiece
When think about certain things it will make you more amazed. For instance, think about all the people behind the band also. All of them are giving 100% all the time. Sometimes they don't get the credit they deserve. The shoulders of Su never tire. The whole is there because of her, of course Moa and Momo and before Yui, but she can't be replaced. No Su. No Babymetal. She does mess up. I have heard her mess up and i am happy i heard that because i know she still is human and it is raw. Like you i think she is one of very very few singers that every song she makes you feel the song, not just one but every song. Starlight is about the past. Shine is accepting the present. Where Arcadia deals with future. Arcadia is a great closing song.
The only concert where Su and Moa performed as a duo for the entire show was at 'LEGEND S - BAPTISM XX'. Yui was expected to perform, but was advised by her doctor not to. All of the other BABYMETAL concerts have had at least one supporting dancer.
Momoko wasn't part of BABYMETAL at that time so as a backup dancer, she and the other didn't participate in the song because it was a special performance for Moa. This is the same show were Moa sang Headbanger so it was on her 20th birthday.
Please react to Babymetal guide th-cam.com/video/gDne0xwniTg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=QqIYtqg9vxpXEFLt (Upload 2021/4/22) th-cam.com/video/aIb2xEthdSg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=F5bpko4ScF6b2Kkv (Upload 2024/4/2) After you guys react Babymetal guide you guys will know story about Babymetal and what The Trilogy Of Light If I not wrong the guitar at beginning play by Moa was Mikio Fujioka guitar and Mikio Fujioka pass away 2018/1/5
When you complete the trilogy, take the time to listen to the 3 songs in a row live, that way you will notice how they use the same tones and scales to create 3 similar works that are very different from each other, in addition to the story they are telling with them.
when you do arkadia i find this version has the best look at the amazing lighting they have th-cam.com/video/81lxs2xlcGY/w-d-xo.html some of the others the cuts are so fast you dont get to take it in
@@General_Cartman_Lee oh yeah! i totally forgot about this version! also excellent! moa is so cute! honestly any choice will work, its such a great song!
Thank you for your wonderful Reaction. If you've heard Shine, you need to hear the final song in the series, Arkadia. Because Arkadia is the song that best represents Babymetal.
Nahh I feel like the suggestions are leading yall down an interesting route 😭 No “headbangerrrr”, “catch me if you can”, “rondo of nightmare” etc? Usually these are the starter reactions but so far you guys have been doing their softer songs
Su said in an interview that she was singing 8-10 hours a day during their hiatus, just because she loves singing so much. The whole team is extremely professional and always striving to give the fans the best show/experience possible. And they certainly deliver 🤘🦊🔥
We had to add a logo to upload this version. Enjoy!

I completely agree with your interpretation. I've always thought this version/show performance was the final tribute to Mikio. Too many coincidences for it not too be. But sadly Koba will never say one way or another.
@@yolandria I know! I just wish they poke through the "veil" once lol. Ah well, who am I to complain, haha.
I like the fact that you two feel Babymetal in your reactions. This performance was special but you always connect with the emotions from the first reactions.. 😢 Subscribed 👍🏻
If you want to react to Arkadia, I recommend Live in Legend Metal Galaxy 2020 🤘🦊
🤘🦊🤘
I highly recommend bro the "headbanger" live version
👍 👍
Great job gentlemen
You just reacted to one of my top 5 favorite BABYMETAL songs and you have so many more great experiences ahead. I only wish that could experience them again for the first time and relive the sense of awe you are going to feel.
Kagerou LIVE with Kami Band intro will show you Suzuka's range once again with a sultry Jazz/Blues infused LIVE masterpiece
Thanks for this nice reaction. The "Trilogy of Lights" is a monument... I look forward to “Arkadia” the most euphoric song I know. 🦊
Your minds will blow with Arkadia!❤❤❤
Oh boy are you guys screwed when you get to "No rain no rainbow" make sure it's the legend XX version good luck
Lasttt. ARKADIA 🤘🦊
This was during the time when Su and Moa were just a duo, after Yui left but before the Avengers. This was Moa's 20th birthday concert, Legend M.
There were Avengers at this show. They just didn't add one for this song. For obv reasons...
@@yolandria Ahh thanks. I didn't remember that and since there hasn't been a bluray available until recently I haven't seen teh whole show.
@@jimnusbaum3589 Kano was the Avenger for this show. Just adding the extra info :) 🤘🦊🤘
@@jimnusbaum3589 the bluray was released as a fan club exclusive, also part of the reason this video was almost always blocked up until just recently
The only concert where Su and Moa performed as a duo for the entire show was at 'LEGEND S - BAPTISM XX'.
Yui was expected to perform, but was advised by her doctor not to.
All of the other BABYMETAL concerts have had at least one supporting dancer.
Shine is my favorite Babymetal song...but don't worry, the third one, Arkadia is triumphant

🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
Momoko wasn't part of BABYMETAL at that time so as a backup dancer, she and the other didn't participate in the song because it was a special performance for Moa. This is the same show were Moa sang Headbanger so it was on her 20th birthday.

After you guys react Babymetal guide you guys will know story about Babymetal and what The Trilogy Of Light
If I not wrong the guitar at beginning play by Moa was Mikio Fujioka guitar and Mikio Fujioka pass away 2018/1/5
You need to listen to no rain no rainbow at The legend S concert
A singing genius and goddess.😍

When you complete the trilogy, take the time to listen to the 3 songs in a row live, that way you will notice how they use the same tones and scales to create 3 similar works that are very different from each other, in addition to the story they are telling with them.
when you do arkadia i find this version has the best look at the amazing lighting they have th-cam.com/video/81lxs2xlcGY/w-d-xo.html
some of the others the cuts are so fast you dont get to take it in
I prefer the Legend M version: th-cam.com/video/M8WSSIUyu4Q/w-d-xo.html
It has the intro and a very happy Moa at the end of the show.
Looking forward to the next one ❤
After that definitely check out "tales of destinies"
Nahh I feel like the suggestions are leading yall down an interesting route 😭 No “headbangerrrr”, “catch me if you can”, “rondo of nightmare” etc? Usually these are the starter reactions but so far you guys have been doing their softer songs
Su said in an interview that she was singing 8-10 hours a day during their hiatus, just because she loves singing so much.
The whole team is extremely professional and always striving to give the fans the best show/experience possible. And they certainly deliver 🤘🦊🔥
