Moa was playing along to a backing track, Koba ask her if she wanted to go solo live and she said no, she hasn't kept up with her guitar practice and was nervous, she said this in an interview that she has focused her life on dance, in the Legend M performance she really goes all out dancing around that guitar and her and Su both felt like they were holding hands during that song without ever touching, reaffirming to each other that they will continue on as Babymetal. Momoko is the last avenger standing, Kano and Riho both have other projects, they may act like Kami's and appear when available or the fox-god might summon another one or two avengers. only the fox-god knows. nobody can put Babymetal in a box.

Haha, your faces when Su started singing. Yes I'd say this is one of their very best songs, but that is just my own opinion - it is in my personal top 3 right now anyway.
This is my favorite song since I first heard it. I have been a BM fan for over 6 years and in this song I literally cry for how beautiful my queen's voice is...
Today also was Mikio Ko-Gami Fujioka's birthday , he would have turned 40 yo today . His mastery on the guitar , his bubbly personality will never be forgotten . Condolences still to his wife and 2 daughters he left behind
I would also like to tell you because it seems you really love the West Kami Band that both of them (East and West Kami Band) play together in one of BABYMETAL performances. They perform together in their Legend Metal Galaxy concert so basically, there are 4 guitarists (Takayoshi Ohmura, Leda Cygnus, Chris Kelly, and CJ Masciantonio) 2 bassists (BOH and Clint Tustin), and 2 drummers (Hideki Aoyama and Anthony Barone). They were also joined by all the 3 avengers on stage. So there is Su, Moa, Momoko, Riho, and Kano performing together with the both Kami Band on stage. It is a sight to see. They performed Road of Resistance as the closing song for Day 1 and Ijime, Dame, Zettai for Day 2. It would be amazing to see your reaction to this although there's a large possibility of it getting blocked.
Great reaction guys. This is the second song of the Trilogy of light - Starlight, Shine & Arkadia. The general interpretation is that the trilogy represents the feeling of pain when losing someone or something important (probably a reference to Mikio or Yui), remembering and being thankful for the time that we had, and then finally acceptance and moving on as a stronger person. It is a poignant reminder of the passing of time and reflection into our own lives.
Shine is the middle of the trilogy. Starlight, Shine, Arcadia. Past, Present, Future. Shine is about acceptance. this video is not one show but a few different shows. the Moa playing guitar is from Japan where the east Kami band is playing. when you see Riho it is from the Forum in LA where the west Kami band played. so this song is not different styles because of different bands. th-cam.com/video/OWggmY2BDhE/w-d-xo.html this is the video you were talking about with Headbanger. it is the opening of the show for Su's 16th birthday. you have to see the full version. this is Headbanger dubstepped. the opening is telling the story of Su being from the pop side and at the end of this show she is crucified to become the metal Goddess. the production on this whole show is wild. you will love it. however Su does not sing live in this version. she holds the mic so far away to say she is not singing live. but it is still a good version. it is her voice but with alot of affects to it.
Nice & thanks from Japan 有難う💛。Whenever I see Moa and Riho hunker down holding their chests to the Su's angelic voice (at 07:00), I am moved emotionally and feel deep sorrow. This audio is from 2020 Makuhari Day-2 show, so you are right about West (=American) Kami Band playing. BABYMETAL is going to hold their 1st Budokan concert TODAY. I am going to witness it and the tomorrow's 2nd show as well. I am expecting something unexpected there. The government guideline for big events is very strict in Japan and Amuse's requirements to the audiences are much stricter. We, the audiences, should perfectly comply with those rules because we should not spoil the scheduled events as well as those in the future which you may enjoy. Of course we should protect ourselves and more importantly protect the BABYMETAL team (the girls, Kami Band and their crew). May the Fox God's force be with every individual loving BABYMETAL in the world !
I'm pretty sure Moa wasn't really playing the guitar. Her left hand (on the neck) might have played the right chords, if the guitar was tuned down to "drop D/C"...but her right hand wasn't strumming the right pattern. So I think she was "playing" to a backing track... And guys...if you are looking for another song, check out the "unfinished version" of Akatsuki...which I think is much more beautiful that the version that they released. Good reaction as always...

This song chokes me up every time. An homage to fallen guitarist Mikio, and some suggest Yuimetal as well. Imagine each of the two is represented by a star in the night sky, and they shine down upon us. Please react to In The Name Of (live).
I would love to see them react to it as well. It would have to be a link and sync tho but just in case you want to see the most spectacular BM performance ever (production-wise), here is the link: streamable.com/5g7xt7
@@shaunpierce4174 Seriously? I TOTALLY disagree with that. It's an absolute highlight on Metal Galaxy. Just like "From Dusk Till Dawn, "it has top shelf production and mixing. And Su's vocals on "Brand New Day" are completely awesome.
There is a techno version of Headbanger 'Night of 15 Mix'. They performed it as the opening of the Legend of 1997 concert that you've seen in other videos including the regular version of Headbanger. It's the one with the Virgin Mary statue. If you react to that video make sure it's the one that also includes 'Ave Maria'. It's about 9 minutes long but it's worth it.
Another great BabyMetal Monday reaction . Love this song , The duo performance of Su and Moa is so emotional. Su's vocals just get better if thats possible as she gets older . Ps if BabyMetal did do country it would be awesome like every thing else they do 🤘🦊🤘❤
I thought they had been cancelled (the Band Maid concert has been) , but the first of the ten (meant to represent 10 years) Babymetal Doomsday concerts has gone ahead at the Budokan. Apparently Su gave a speech, and the Avenger, as expected, was Momoko
SHINE. like song of hope . The Melodic like "The one" vibe . I like when Moa playing that guitar accoustic. Good reaction dude🤘 Maybe next, BABYMETAL - In the name of. That's intro song from Metal Galaxy
I say "Brand New Day" as the next reaction. I have a lot of the same opinions about the song as I do about from "From Dusk Till Dawn." Like "From Dusk Till Dawn," it has top shelf production and mixing. And Su's vocals on "Brand New Day" are completely awesome. And typical of BABYMETAL, it STILL also manages to have a unique sound and stand out as so many of their songs do. It is one of my favorites from their newest Metal Galaxy album - and that is saying something when you consider the fact that album is packed with awesomeness.
So this was a fan made compilation between two shows: Legend M which was Moa's 20th birthday show, that's the one where it's just Su, Moa and the acoustic guitar. The second one is Legend Metal Galaxy Day 2, this one had the triangle stage with Su, Moa, Riho as the avenger, and way too much fog effect, heh. Moa was fake strumming the guitar at Legend M, she wasn't actually playing it, though she has taken guitar lessons in the past and probably could have played it as it's a pretty simple set of chords. Hollywood, I wouldn't hate you for saying you like the western Kami's better, they are amazing musicians and I have seen them play live, but I love the OG kami's and I want to see them play too.
Thank you, gents, for finally embarking into Shine. Moa does indeed play the acoustic as part of this song. It’s my personal favorite from Metal Galaxy. Please keep up the amazing reactions!
What makes this gut wrenching for me every time is remembering that Mikio taught Moa play guitar. Shine is part of a trilogy of songs which are a tribute to Mikio, the other 2 you have reacted to already... Starlight - a song of grieving Shine - a song of acceptance Arkadia - a song of moving forward.
This song would flawless transition into Arkadia and that was their ending to their bigger Metal Galaxy tours with the Encores of Road of Resistance or Ijime Dame Zetaii. If you guys haven't done Oh! Majinai yet, they're version of a drunken pirate jig, you should definitely check it out. It features the singer of Sabaton and is Su's favorite track off of Metal Galaxy(or so she said in an interview.)
Haha, I laughed out loud when you yelled "THEY ARE NOT DOING COUNTRY" :-D I have said this once already today, but I think Su's vocals in Shine may be the most beautiful sound my ears have ever had the pleasure to hear. It's even better in the studio version. The moment she starts to sing I sometime start to cry immediately. So awesome! We know that Moa took guitar lessons years ago, so she might be pretty good by now. But I'm pretty sure she is not playing this. Personally, I prefer the Eastern Kami, although I'm torn when it comes to the drummers. The Western one might be even better technically, but I do have a thing for Hideki. In my opinion the Eastern guitarists have a better sense of style and tone (as far as I can tell), and I prefer their phrasing, epecially Ohmura's. Regarding the bass, I might be biased, as I just find finger style bass so much cooler than playing with a pick. I have heard that the Western bassist is actually a guitarist in his main projects, and I think that shows. He does play like one, whereas BOH is just a bass monster through and through. At the Legend - Metal Galaxy shows in 2020 both Kami bands took turns playing the songs, and in the end they all came together for the finale.
You cannot compare the Original Kami Band to their Western counterparts. The Original Kami Band and Babymetal girls has been through happiness and sadness much in their careers. I am a Babymetal fan and Hollywood 6ix may like the Western Kami Band in terms of sound but the Original Kami Band are specifically handpicked for Babymetal. Everyone has its own opinions and taste in term of style and we have to respect that. The Avenger is RihoMetal or Sayashi Riho. The Metal Galaxy album only Su-Metal and Moa metal are the original members of Babymetal. The three Avengers which is Kano Fujihara, Riho Sayashi and Momoko Okazaki rotates between them in tours.
Probably the lyricists and the people making the music for the western Kami Band are probably the same of previous albums, because the BabyMetal style stills there.
@@Hollywood6IX Only Barone (the Western drummer) really holds a candle to Hideki imo but I would still pick Hideki because he's been through thick and thin with BABYMETAL and has a special place in every Kitsune's hearts (those that are worth their salt anyway :D)
@@Hollywood6IX Because it's been in the suggestions multiple times for multiple weeks. That and the Unhelpful Guide that CrypticMisery and many others have asked for several times, and again in these comments.
I saw a video of some Japanese Christmas or New Year's celebration show the other day from this year and Su spoke a few lines of English as a little promotional gig during the show and I swear to God she has a country accent I wish I could find it but I can't. The country song may be on its way
So, first of all, the reason they cut around like that is that there was footage from multiple shows. Yes, Moa can play the guitar a bit, but she was not in that video, she was mimicking along because she had to stop playing to do the dances at various parts. Moa only did the guitar part at the "Legend M" show for her 20th birthday. Moa has said herself that she doesn't practice guitar nearly as much as she should lol Also, no there are no Riho, Kano, Momoko, or Kami Band merchandise because none of them are technically members of BABYMETAL. BABYMETAL is just Su and Moa, that's it. They are the only two marketed and promoted as BABYMETAL. Kami Band and The Avengers are are hired to perform at their live shows on a per-show kind of deal, they aren't like properly part of the music making process and all that stuff. Shine is Babymetal's most beautiful song but I'm not sure I could call it their greatest song, even though it competes with Ijime Dame Zettai as my favorite song over all. As far as Moa playing the guitar, who knows. Whenever the subject comes up you get about 30 different answers. Moa talks about it in a recent interview and strongly implies she was playing but even that can be open to interpretation. She was taking lessons earlier in life, when she was small...., but not anymore. Even so, she is a very talented young lady. It doesn't seem like it was complicated so I'm pretty sure she could master it well enough if she practiced a bit. So my vote is yes!! She is playing it. It's fine to say you prefer the western Kami band but I'm going to guess you'll be in the minority. Its not a fair comparison though. We have seen the Eastern Kami's faces and how they interact with the girls and the songs. We have not had that with the western Kami band. For me, being a nonmusician, I can't tell if one plays better than the other so it's more about how they interact.
Ok for one this is by far my favorite song on the Metal Galaxy album but dear sweet god to be there live and in person hearing it live is just unexplainable
Hope to see you guys look at “How Many Tears” from Helloween’s live performance at Wacken 2018, it’s here on You Tube from their “United Alive” DVD. This was part of their reunion tour with 2 former members, Kai Hansen & Michael Kiske. Three lead singers and mind-blowing live guitars played by masterful musicians 👍🏻
Despite she was a bit afraid, I think she actually played there. Seemed to me the guitar was tuned in DADGAD, so she just had to hold one fret at a time. But Mikio taught her a few accords. And yes it was the western Kami. You can see that on the instruments played. If the bassist has a 6 string Atelier bass and the guitarist has the "Pink-chan", it's the eastern Kami. And how can I describe Suzuka's voice here??? Maybe so: "WOW!"
Good stuff guys. Too bad this was a compilation instead of just the one from Moa's 20th birthday (Legend M) where it was just Su and Moa on stage, and yes, Moa was playing the guitar.

I seriously tear up everytime when I hear this. But, seeing moa hold mikio's guitar on stage just let's the waterworks flow.
Finally reacting to my new #1 Babymetal song...overtaking Megitsune...it's just so epic and beautiful
Thank you for the diversity in your reactions. I come for Tool Tuesday, but sometimes stay for the others so that I can get exposure to artists I never would have experienced.
Love it! I guess youre talking about the Headbanger Night of 15 mix. If you're into techno/dubstep, you'll love it as much as the original version.

This song chokes me up every time. An homage to fallen guitarist Mikio, and some suggest Yuimetal as well. Imagine each of the two is represented by a star in the night sky, and they shine down upon us.
Please react to In The Name Of (live).
I would love to see them react to it as well. It would have to be a link and sync tho but just in case you want to see the most spectacular BM performance ever (production-wise), here is the link:

@@sleestackseven4989 I love that version. Such a powerful song with powerful visuals. 🤘
Brand New Day!!
Finally a reaction on Shine.👍
Ty guys
Babymetal next week has to be Brand New Day
As a last resort, one of their very few bad songs
I have heard every Babymetal song in my opinion they do not have any bad songs.
@@mitchellhodgemeyer7306 yes su's vocal completely amazing in BND, and its my favourite.
Every opinion is important..
Tonight(Japan time January 19)
10 BABY METAL Years Live in [BUDO KAN]-10DAY,S Start!!
From Tokyo Japan
Another great BabyMetal Monday reaction . Love this song , The duo performance of Su and Moa is so emotional. Su's vocals just get better if thats possible as she gets older . Ps if BabyMetal did do country it would be awesome like every thing else they do 🤘🦊🤘❤
I thought they had been cancelled (the Band Maid concert has been) , but the first of the ten (meant to represent 10 years) Babymetal Doomsday concerts has gone ahead at the Budokan. Apparently Su gave a speech, and the Avenger, as expected, was Momoko
I wouldn't say it's their best song, but that whole trilogy together (Starlight, Shine and Arkadia) is a masterpiece!
the Good notification for a little break in afternoon work here in France ^^
SHINE. like song of hope . The Melodic like "The one" vibe . I like when Moa playing that guitar accoustic. Good reaction dude🤘
Maybe next, BABYMETAL - In the name of.
I love that acoustic = country to them 😂 I loved this whole reaction
Listen in order to Starlight, Shine and Arkadia and you will realize that they take on another dimension, they are epic!
Make it into a video!
Sounds like the Night of 15 mix is in the cards.
I hope so
i agree
saw them in philadelphia when this song was just about to be release sadly they didn't perform it , but it's one of my favorite BM tunes
Starlight - a song of grieving
Shine - a song of acceptance
Arkadia - a song of moving forward.
Part 2 of a trilogy of songs : Starlight, Shine and Arkadia.
It features the singer of Sabaton and is Su's favorite track off of Metal Galaxy(or so she said in an interview.)
thats just amazing rock n roll in remembrance of one of the best guitar players of our time beautiful
Haha, I laughed out loud when you yelled "THEY ARE NOT DOING COUNTRY" :-D
I have said this once already today, but I think Su's vocals in Shine may be the most beautiful sound my ears have ever had the pleasure to hear.
Quick Repo Day1 : Octagonal Center Stage (not rotating) Avenger= Momoko Kami= Boh, Ohmura, Isao, Hideki
Songs: 11+2 encores ITNO, Distortion, Papaya, Gimme, DokiDoki, OhMajinai, Megitsune, Karate, Starlight, Headbang, RoR, + One, IDZ
Very true, and your right the both are extremely talented and good in each way
Probably the lyricists and the people making the music for the western Kami Band are probably the same of previous albums, because the BabyMetal style stills there.
@@Hollywood6IX Only Barone (the Western drummer) really holds a candle to Hideki imo but I would still pick Hideki because he's been through thick and thin with BABYMETAL and has a special place in every Kitsune's hearts (those that are worth their salt anyway :D)

I love Babymetal power ballads
Certainly their most beautiful song/performance and yes, Moa did/does play the guitar.
You're early today! Awesome ^_^
Yea why not make this monday just a little better
@@Hollywood6IX Hell yeh!
Moa has said herself that she doesn't practice guitar nearly as much as she should lol
Also, no there are no Riho, Kano, Momoko, or Kami Band merchandise because none of them are technically members of BABYMETAL. BABYMETAL is just Su and Moa, that's it. They are the only two marketed and promoted as BABYMETAL. Kami Band and The Avengers are are hired to perform at their live shows on a per-show kind of deal, they aren't like properly part of the music making process and all that stuff.

** Over the Future has a story.
"When in third grade, one (or more ) of [Yui's] family got an unspecified life-threatening illness. Being too young to be allowed into the intensive care unit, she had to wait in the waiting room every day while worrying about their well being. The doctors proposed that they would play music that [Yui] listened to, which at the time was the girl group Karen Girl's (future #BABYMETAL co-member Suzuka performed in the group at the time). [Yui] states that the music gave her courage and power to get through the situation, and later when her family had made it out of the hospital, Yui wanted to become a [member of] Karen Girl's."
In 2010, as part of their audition process for Sakura Gakuin, Yui and Moa performed a dance routine to the song Over the Future.
"During the 2012 Legend D concert, the group performed a cover of the Karen Girl's song "Over the Future". [Yui has said that] that moment was when her dreams came true."
If you're going to watch Over the Future, I would recommend watching them in chronological order: Karen Girl's version first, then the audition, the BABYMETAL show, and finally the side-by-side video with Karen Girl's and BABYMETAL.

The eclipse comes from the album “ The One “.
Babymetal is like orchestra itself ( like a metal orchestra). Great.
RIHO METAL was the Avenger here. They close off the show mostly with Arkadia for the Metal Galaxy era
Thanks nice reaction all times for Babymetal!! from Japan.
you can watch Su Metal White Love cover, another great song showing Su Metal skills at singing. \m/
R.I.P.Mikio✨✨Thank you for this🍅🍅🍅
Despite she was a bit afraid, I think she actually played there.
Love the videos guys, I saw the mudvayne reactions the other day. You guys should do "World so Cold" by them. It's definitely my personal favorite. Super solid song.
