@@andreworsini2865 If you properly warm up and don't ego lift, free weight isn't more injury risk. Matter of fact, I've seen more injuries on the hack squat than the barbell squat.

As Dorian said, most people are overtraining. Stimulate the muscle for it to grow. Rest and recover. Even when you wanna go train, make sure your body has recovered and adapted to the stress previously applied. Otherwise, “You just end up with a bloody hand”. - DY
Doing CrossFit for so many years, the ‘ego lift’ is a big issue. We all fall prey to that, especially in that type of environment. You learn quickly the ego in not your amigo LOL

Bodybuilding is numbers.. but it's numbers such as how much do you feel the movement 100% or 50% but 50% feel and 50% pushing weight.. I'd take 100% feel over any of it yeah buddy!

I do a combination of both. Some workouts I don’t need free weights, but I don’t think we should necessarily be neglecting them.
is the chances for injury more with free weights because you don’t have the stability like on machines?

The hack squat is a very dangerous movement some very intelligent bodybuilders will not perform the hack squat. It's best to not push it on hacks.
