How To Fix A Muted Video On TikTok

- Let's show you how to fix a muted video on TikTok.
In this video, I walk you through the steps to upload a video on TikTok even if you have copyrighted music playing in the video. All you have to do is edit the video in TikTok and add a TikTok-approved sound to the video, then reduce the volume of that second sound to zero so your original sound can be heard. Because you added a TikTok-approved sound TikTok won't mute your video! These steps work on both iOS and Android devices.

Literally idk if TikTok and TH-cam have the same Copyright issues but I was doing a non copyrighted song for my video which I both published on YT and TikTok and they took down the music from TikTok because it was copyright but not TH-cam, again idk if TikTok and TH-cam both have the same Copyright standards but that was a non copyrighted song though.

McKayla you are a godsend -- yes it does work here at the end of December 2022. The only quirk (as someone else pointed out) is that the other song will show up on the bottom spinning record player -- no big deal. Too bad it's unable to pick up the original song but at least now I have airplay. I put together a video and the video without the music would have been worthless. Thank you so much for this straightforward fix --- hopefully it stays stable.

Update: you need to leave a little of the added sound to not get muted. Dont make it zero. I always do this but still i got muted. My video is on fire, 100+ views in a minute. But i had to delete it. Now it's getting very few views.

TikTok keeps muting my music I'm a music artist they keep muting my songs like what the fuck
in my case, tiktok no longer allows me to add sounds. When I upload a video and add a sound to avoid being muted, it automatically sets the video as my "original" sound and the added sound disappears. therefore tiktok silences the video.

@ I found a solution, if you add a sound low the volume to 1% (not zero) so that tik tok keeps the added sound (and it does not interfere with the original music or sound)

This used to work, but not any longer.
What's worse, I try using music from TikTok's music library and about 1-2 out of 4 songs will get muted for alleged copyright.
So their BS about "to be safe, use TikTok's available sounds" is crap.
I've sent them numerous messages, and IF they even bother to reply, it is literally just the same BS info from the original notice that they've illegally muted my video.
Kind of like when I post case law or factual and well documented history, they'll remove my post for allegedly violating "authenticity and integrity".

However, I'd imagine that it's hard to do that when the truth is that their unlawful and illegal behavior is actually the problem.
Most recently I've been using original recordings from 100+ years ago. The recording is pressed in shellac!! And they still muted it claiming that the "copyright holder has not released it in this country".
What?? It was recorded here, in the USA?? And the orchestra has long since been dead!!!
I've used music that's copyright and royalty free, creative Commons license, free to use with attribution, and TikTok illegally mutes those as well.
I've reached out to a few artists and music production companies to make them aware as well.
After all, it's the artists trying to get their music heard that actually suffer when large platforms such as TikTok illegally makes up their own version of the copyright statutes.
They're pretty much told TikTok doesn't want it allowed.
In my opinion, this is a big problem for TikTok. Not only are they infringing on the rights and requests of the actual copyright holders (when there is one), but even then the artists that they've "contracted" with to allow their music to be available in TikTok's library.
The amount of time it takes to re-upload nearly every single post multiple times is ridiculous!!
I should also note that none of my post are monetized either!!
Yes same with mine. It was my voice on the video and tiktok muted it claimed it was copyrighted. Then I test their theory of using one of their 'recommended' song and it was also muted after 5 hours! I find lately Tiktok has become more erratic and glitchy.

@@JahlenJohnson11 Prior to my 2nd "permanent ban" on TikTok, I had posted close to 300 posts. I'd estimate that at least 1 out of every 3-4 posts would get muted.
TikTok has never explained why my account was "permanently banned".
I would simply open the app and instead of my feed appearing, I received a notice that my account was permanently banned. No reason given. It literally just stated in one sentence that it had been banned.
I doubt that it was related to alleged copyright violations that resulted in muting my posts however.
Not a single one of my posts violated any policy or guideline. They simply didn't promote the current narrative.
If you'd like to see what I mean, I've posted a few of them on TH-cam. Although they're perhaps being shadow banned because not one of them has had a single view. Not one.
Granted, I'm not a big TH-cam channel, but given that TH-cam is the 2nd most frequented site in the world, I find that be strange.
My posts are political in nature, but certainly do not promote hatred or division of the people. I don't create posts that are Republican vs Democrat, Red vs Blue, etc. That kind of crap is used specifically to divide the people.
Instead, they are apparently the worst kinds of posts that one could make, according to the CORPORATIONS that have enslaved the world and restrict or censor any info that they disagree with .... they are factual and attempt to empower people with factual knowledge to help them to stand in their rights.
That's some scary shit to those who require that their slaves remain unaware of the chains that they where.
So I don't know that the music I used was ever the actual problem that required to be muted. As I stated in my previous post, I was even using music from TikTok's own music library.
I think it had more to do with restricting and censoring my content in general.
It actually really worked even on my long video's... If it doesn't work change the background song.

It was so weird bc first of all, if the song is not available, you will not be able to use it in the beginning. For example, me being from Canada, some songs are not available for me.
I did this one video, I learned a tutorial from an amazing lady on TT (Muthership). She tells us to save the song from the original video and to tag te person who started the original trend to show support and thanks.
I did just that and I worked hard in trying to do the Choke video and I did upload it with the sound. Then about a few days later, I went to see my video again and I see it was muted. Below, I see a note from TT saying I commited copyright and that (don't know) someone said it or TT found it. The thing is, I never copyrighted because the song was available for me to first use when I uploaded the video.
Now, when I go into that person who's song it is and her choke video (most of her video is muted). Not sure if it is just for me, that I cannot hear any sounds).
