Real and sincere Jews know their given commandments and respect it. Like the Hasidic for example. But Zionism is a secular movement, many of its founders actually despised Judaism (see Herzl quotes). He then dedicated the progeny of Abraham for prophetic role (Prophet, Messenger), and gave them land: Canaan for Jews (1400 BCE), and Arabian peninsula for Muslims (629 CE). But after Jews failed to follow Jesus, they were punished severely and no more prophets came from their lineage

My understanding is that the idea of "chose people" means Allah chose them to convey his message of righteousness to the rest of humanity but the Israelites did the opposite. However, the Jews today have this idea that God chose them because they are a special and superiour race and the others are worthless people and they call them Gentiles. As for prophet Mohammed pbbuh, Allah chose the Arabs to do take the same responsibility. I hope I am not wrong.

Two much importance is given to Qibla and Night's Journey which is NOT supported by the scripture. Night's journey was a vision (Quran 17:60). Qibla change was a test (Quran 2:143). Moses and Aaron asked their people to use their own houses as Qibla (Quran 10:87). Becca (old name of Mecca) was the first Masjid (Quran 3:96). To pray together, it is necessary to pray in the same direction. That's all there is to it (Quran 2:177)

That's what they think. God makes it clear that we are all children of the All-Mighty.

Had this question been asked in the PAST TENSE, the answer would have been an unequivocal YES.
In present tense though, we find the answer to the question in the Quran as referenced below.
"Indeed, they who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists will be in the fire of Hell, abiding eternally therein. Those are the worst of creatures".

The Jews were Gods chosen people by virtue of having prophets in the lineage and 3 holy books (Torah, Zaboor, and Injeel).
Therefore, the Jews simply had to worship God alone without any partners and adhere to the upright moral codes of each holy book (before the Quran was revealed).
However, due to certain Jewish groups sometimes falling into shirk (in their history), certain groups not correctly adhereing to their moral code, rejecting the Injeel (prophet Isa) they have lost the status of being Gods chosen people.
To add to that, they have now rejected the prophet Mohammed and the Quran..
However, they have the chance of God accepting them back as his chosen people. This can be done by joining the ummah of Prophet Mohammed. Following Prophet Muhammad (his Sunnah and accepting Isa) while also accepting and following the Quran.
So, being a Jew without accepting Islam and following it means, this individual Jew is not upholding the covenant they had with God.
Israel belongs to Gods chosen people which is not the Jews anymore due to them breaking their covenant with God.
Faith is great as long as it has no priority over the natural intelligence given to us by God. When faith has priority, people become no different than robots.

While God has His wrath on them, He never disowned them or forget them. He still protects them by miracles even to this day and will deal with their disobedience at the time of the great tribulation.

Israelis, although chosen, were only favored as long as they honored their part of the covenant. They did not. Now, like Sarah, who did not patiently wait for Allah to fulfill His promise. Allah dosen't choose people after they go astray and abandon their purpose.
Satan was chosen when he was among the angles but unchosen after he rejected Allah command.
Prophet yunis/jhonah was chosen and unchosen and then chosen later depending on his loyalty to Allah.
Even individually it ablies to everyone.
Jews were chosen when many prophets come from them and were unchosen after they rejected many and killed many.
God chosing people is conditional.
For me Old Testament and New Testament goes in hand in hand. Those Christian’s who disregard the Old Testament and laws are sadly mistaken.
The way I understand it is they are or were the “chosen” people of God to be the first monotheists and endure the trials and tribulations that they did, but in this case “chosen” does not mean something like “better” or “special”
