Saix was the one who brought Vexen on board and had him research into ways of bringing Roxas, Xion and Namine back. It was Saix's idea to seek atonement but he couldn't do act in the open since he was one of the "chosen" vessels of Xehanort. So, he told Vexen to betray the Organization. We learn this in that scene where Vexen tries to bring Demyx on board with the betrayal. Demyx isn't convinced to join until he finds out that Saix was in on it. Also, if you think about it. In the Keyblade Graveyard, Saix didn't finish off Axel and just stood there and let Xemnas show up. Also, also, when Roxas came back and he was like "And others too...", notice how the camera makes it look like he's pointing Oblivion at Saix. That's the game developers hinting that Saix was part of the betrayal. So, it would stand to reason why Saix namedropping "Roxas" and "Axel" can be seen him actually trying to get Xion to remember them.

Pretty sure Sai'x is actively TRYING to get Xion to remember. Remember, he's the one who had Vexen make a replica vessel for Roxas, for Demyx give to Ienzo, along with Ansem the Wise. It wouldn't shock me if Saix felt guilty for how he treated Xion even before all memories of Xion returned.
I just love how Roxas is motivated by pure anger and hatred towards Xemnas through out this whole fight yet Roxas doesn't let his anger overwhelm him like Terra did. Roxas definitely is the second most angry character in the series the first being Terra who's anger reanimated his Keyblade armour just so he could beat the ever loving crap out of Xehanort for everything he did to Terra and his friends
I liked that Terra’s anger manifested into Lingering Will. Such a cool character. Roxas is very grounded hence why he is smart to not let his anger control him.
I have been waiting for 11 years. I beat Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days in 2011 and Kingdom Hearts 2 in 2012... I finished Kingdom Hearts 3 and Re Mind 2 days ago.
Honestly, beating Xemnas up with Roxas was so satisfying. He was really fun to play and slamming Oathkeeper and Oblivion into Xemnas' face felt amazing. To bad it was only for this one battle. I would have liked to use Roxas in the data fights as well. Riku and Aqua as well.

And this may very well have been the worse day of Xemnas’ life, what with Axel not being even remotely scared of him, the puppet, a being meant EXPRESSELY to be easily controlled, continuing her “rebellious streak” of being the LEAST pawn like character of the series, and Roxas coming back from the dead to lay smack talk exposition into him and then beat the shit out of him It’s so beautiful it could make a grown man cry

i definitely wish roxas and sora got some more interaction too. nothing too "gimmicky", but still some acknowledgement of each other. they do it a few times in the series, but sora and namine seem to get way more "time" together in talking about what to do next. sora wants roxas to believe he is his own person... and roxas is definitely so, but sora running off so quickly (of course more to do), i wish roxas and sora got another heart-to-heart in this moment
@@soraprince5336 I think Sora and Roxas gets a lot more heart to heart moments than Sora and Namine I think Namine's character, there's really only a few instances where she actually let out her insecurities, in CoM obviously, in KH2 when she talks to Roxas, Axel and Riku (sunset terrace scene), and Final World in KH3. It does attribute to her lack of screentime but you see her trying to move the plot forward because she has knowledge and connections to help others do that. Its why in kh3, a lot of Sora/Roxas interactions were more heart to heart with Sora's desire to free him and while there are some with Namine due to Sora wanting to thank her, Namine prioritizes helping him out to save everyone which moves the plot forward.
2:53 I like that Axel didn't abandon his chakrams even after becoming a keyblade wielder. Was cool how he caught them after Xion deflected them and then summoned his keyblade.
OK, can we just acknowledge how cool Roxas' heart is though, it has Axel, Xion, and Coated Riku instead of Goofy, Donald, Riku and Kairi, Organisation Emblems instead of crowns, Roxas's original Concept Art which can only be seen in 358 Day's Mission mode and Roxas' Healthbar, and Twilight Tower instead of the Destiny Islands. It is so well made and had a lot of thought put in it.

The thing I love most about this scene is Roxas and Soras interaction within his heart, you can just feel the connection between them (same think with Ven and Sora you can’t describe it, just feel it)

Well, Lea obviously has an old score to settle with Saïx, so of course he'd go after him. Kairi.... not sure why. Maybe she thought he could use some help. Then again, as was said, she put _Xemnas_ on the defensive. She has some skills, and guts (to quote Axel himself), even if it's nowhere near as strong as Sora or Riku.

Maybe he still had some of his assassin training? Kairi has changed so much from kh1, kairi from kh1 seems to have more personality, i loved her old voice too, sounds more girly and energetic in kh3 kairi seems to lack personality, shes just there looking pretty with soft voice idk
Actually, the AI uses the same mechanics as we are given when we play as him. But his AI is just at the absolute highest level to emphasize how OP Roxas is xD
Tomas Orchard-Obray Which makes sense. He’s a being a twilight, one of the only “true” Keyblade wielding nobodies, able to wield without having regained an old self. He is born both of a darkness so deep Sora was swallowed by it, and of a light so pure that that a Heartless could be redeemed from that darkness. He is the ultimate fusion of Darkness and Light, of the Yin and the Yang.
Yep, this is still my favorite scene and fight in the entire game, both base and Remind. Roxas captured our hearts (No pun intended), and we loved him ever since his inception. To see him return and reunite with his friends and get some much needed payback for all the suffering Xemnas caused for them. So good.
I get the feeling Saïx wasn’t that bad there anymore. Before this he was talking to Lea at the clocktower and notice every time he said Axel or Roxas he‘s looking at Xion to see how she reacted.
To those who paid attention...Xemnas didn't kidnap Kairi because she was weak; she could hold her own against him. He did it because he was afraid of what she could do.

Man I remember being in my 3rd hour in HS and hearing that Roxas is in kh3 and I was ready mentally but my heart really wasn't. I felt chills as I heard the Roxas theme and I started tearing up a bit
I find it funny. I tried to let Saïx kill me in the original so I could change the volume settings, and I noticed Roxas dealt all the damage, Xion chased me down with curaga, and Roxas never dipped below max hp.

Nope. Roxas became his own person. Sora recognized that, which is why one of his personal goals in KH3 was to figure out how to bring him back. Besides, the scene you're referring to is actually Future Sora's heart entering Roxas to let the player control him.
Yeah, that's why he hesitated midway through. Bad circumstances (ie. being stuck under the Organization's thumb) brought them together initially, but now they can move on from that.

The thing I love most about this scene is Roxas and Soras interaction within his heart, you can just feel the connection between them (same think with Ven and Sora you can’t describe it, just feel it)
i think it could have had a PINCH more of heart-to-heart between sora and roxas...

Well, Lea obviously has an old score to settle with Saïx, so of course he'd go after him. Kairi.... not sure why. Maybe she thought he could use some help. Then again, as was said, she put _Xemnas_ on the defensive. She has some skills, and guts (to quote Axel himself), even if it's nowhere near as strong as Sora or Riku.
@@DavidHutchinson0713 I agree that they were able to hold their own, at least until Sora showed up, and thinking back on it, didn't Lea have most, if not all of Axel's memories? Maybe he still had some of his assassin training? While I think they did well for the time they did fight and put Xemnas on the defensive, I don't think it was the best long-term decision, Thank you for your thoughts, they have helped me think about this a bit more.
Because Axel has a score to settle with Saix and Kairi is his personal bodyguard and protector. 😉

Kairi has changed so much from kh1, kairi from kh1 seems to have more personality, i loved her old voice too, sounds more girly and energetic in kh3 kairi seems to lack personality, shes just there looking pretty with soft voice idk

Actually, the AI uses the same mechanics as we are given when we play as him.
But his AI is just at the absolute highest level to emphasize how OP Roxas is xD

Which makes sense. He’s a being a twilight, one of the only “true” Keyblade wielding nobodies, able to wield without having regained an old self. He is born both of a darkness so deep Sora was swallowed by it, and of a light so pure that that a Heartless could be redeemed from that darkness. He is the ultimate fusion of Darkness and Light, of the Yin and the Yang.
Yep, this is still my favorite scene and fight in the entire game, both base and Remind. Roxas captured our hearts (No pun intended), and we loved him ever since his inception. To see him return and reunite with his friends and get some much needed payback for all the suffering Xemnas caused for them. So good.
I have to say that finally bullying Xemnas as Roxas, although it was only for a short amount of time, was really enjoyable
the moveset was better for any characters in Kh2. The battles were more epic. One thing didnt changed... Roxas is always badass

Man I remember being in my 3rd hour in HS and hearing that Roxas is in kh3 and I was ready mentally but my heart really wasn't. I felt chills as I heard the Roxas theme and I started tearing up a bit

I find it funny. I tried to let Saïx kill me in the original so I could change the volume settings, and I noticed Roxas dealt all the damage, Xion chased me down with curaga, and Roxas never dipped below max hp.
Me, too. Xion was healing me up and I just ran around in circles while Roxas did everything, lmao! Roxas just smashed into the ground and was like, "BRING IT" hahahahahahha!!!!

Nope. Roxas became his own person.
Sora recognized that, which is why one of his personal goals in KH3 was to figure out how to bring him back.
Besides, the scene you're referring to is actually Future Sora's heart entering Roxas to let the player control him.

Yeah, that's why he hesitated midway through. Bad circumstances (ie. being stuck under the Organization's thumb) brought them together initially, but now they can move on from that.
