But this comment made me realise that most chat gpt generated text can be distinguished from real , creative writing. This comment lacked originality and is mundane in nature. ChatGPT is great for writing assistant for research. But when the thesis deals with technical terms, it provides incorrect information. For instance, in my engineering field there is one long formula for plastic bracing length. When i use chatgpt it shows incorrect formula and explaination. Another limitation is that when your topic has limited literature or focusing only local RRLs. Overall ChatGPT is a helpful tool that will provide a framework in writing one's dissertation but I do not heavily rely this tool in explaining difficult terminologies.
I asked chat gpt a simple accountancy problem and it gave me the wrong answer. Maybe gpt 4 can do this, but definitely not chat gpt

You cannot fully trust researchers. There are plenty of liars writing papers and getting funded for crap research. Some are simply liars and in some cases, our tax dollars fund their made up bull crap. AI will be used and students will pass their work off as their work. Hell, how many students visit a convenient diploma mill and pass it along?
I am amazed at just how flat out wrong some of these AI programs can be. I ask a question and it literally makes up an answer. I am not saying it gave me wrong info; it made up a historical fact.
I am beginning to think ChatGPT and it's variants are incapable of answering a simple question and the more I fiddle with it, the safer I feel about the future.
Glad I am not using it for business or my peers would laugh the hell out of me.

Just make sure you read every single output that ChatGPT gives, fact check everything with the original source material, and then cite everything to the source material appropriately. It is still a lot of work, but it's like you have this receptionist to do the nitty-gritty.

You should sign up for scholarcy. It does summary info breakdown on files you feed it. Then take the core points to chatgpt and mix it up whatever way you need the text, or point youre making to be.

@@kalapoikedeviere7962 this speaks to another issue: what happens when something you write is flagged. I wrote a piece about Wratten Gel Filters in 1979 or so and it was flagged. Not at all sure why, but apparently I am a IP thief.
"AI checkers" are BS and there is no way to PROVE an AI wrote something. It is very dissimilar to plagiarism, which can be proven.

As someone who values education, I believe that our education system must undergo a transformation to prepare students for the new era of AI. This transformation should have taken place ten years ago. We must adapt our curriculum to include more training in technological skills, as well as critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving. By doing so, we can ensure that our future generations are equipped to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
In conclusion, we must not underestimate the power of AI, and we must be proactive in our efforts to prepare for the changes it will bring.
