i actually had to double check when i said that, but my goodness, Leigh must hate that, he is one of the writers of the movie too, side note, i want a twist in Saw X where Adam is still alive, that after Amanda suffocated him he was only in a coma and John and Gordon resuscitated him and then LOGAN the true first accomplice from movie 8 and is a mortician swaps in a random dead guy from morgue with same build

I'm glad you enjoyed Saw so much, the Saw franchise is my favorite horror franchise. I really recommend you watch more of them. They get really convoluted with the story by the end, but man i love it. It's a series that really deserves to be binged. Or rewatched, to be appreciated fully.

Saw is my all time favorite movie. The Saw franchise is my second favorite, right behind Child's Play/Chucky. Both incredible horror franchises.
The "front row seats" thing is so good. The writers are the killers in their gore-fetish game, and they not only like to put the twist right in front of you the whole time but they literally said the explicit sentence, and this dude is just in the background of like every shot, but it all comes together in one moment. So good. The way they control the pacing of you catching on to the game is great
That twist at the end is probably the best ever with the music and everything. I really can't think of a better reveal.
Oh man, I watched this back in 2004. and I can honestly say that it's so rare to see a movie with such a great twist. This just blew me away and the sequels were great, too. It became like a tradition - if it's Halloween, it must be SAW. I'd highly recommend watching the next six installments (ending with SAW 3D). The story wraps up nicely and all of the questions get answered throughout these movies.

The reason Detective Tapp didn't go into Dr. Gordon's apartment while he was spying on it is partly because he's no longer a detective. However, he still thought GORDON was Jigsaw, and he didn't know who that guy in the doctor's apartment was, and had no idea what was even going on. In fact, if I remember correctly, I think he thought the wife was having an affair with the guy in her apartment.
something so satisfying about watching people experience this movie for the first time! everyone has at least a passing knowledge of Saw, but newbies don’t realize how much they don’t know until they experience that twist ending 😆 this series is a TRIP! super glad to have found your channel, dude!

Me too, I rented it about a year after it came out for Halloween and I was watching it in my parent’s basement and just sat there stunned for like 5 minutes. I think I ended up rewinding it cause I was just like “I’m sorry, what?!”

Personally, 3, 4, and 6 are my favorite story-wise but definitely check the rest of the series as each one adds a little more and more to the world of Jigsaw!
If we don't count the first Saw, the sixth is best on my list. I was so impressed with the twist at the end, when Hoff managed to escape the trap he was not supposed to, without keys and any clues. That was so fucking awesome.
The fact this movie came out after I was born and I had to be one years old and I remember watching this for the first time in the 4th grade with my cousins and my parents and loving it since!
My dad died recently and this is his favorite movies I'm glad to find like someone to watch this with me in a a way I know I'm a year late to this but subscribing now very enjoyable seeing your reactions I love when people talk during movies I like seeing what there thinking thank you for this ❤️

Great reaction and aftermath thoughts! I still remember the day I watched this movie back in 2006 and was flashed by the unexpected ending. If you are looking for another horror movie with Thriller elements, I recommend Silence of the Lambs.

A lot of people shit on this series, but I love it. At least the first couple, the later ones are more torture p*rny. But I really like the story line. I think at the time it came out it was a more original idea and that made it stand out for me.

While I do think the first is the best the sequels continue the story and are worth checking out IMO. These movies are more than just torture porn (like hostel) but weave a convoluted and interesting story with many twists throughout the series and they are full of intriguing characters (and batsh** insane killing traps). I hope you check them out! Really enjoyed your reaction, the jump scares were so well done and even prepared, they get ya! haha same with me.

Saw is one of those rare horror films that exceeds expectations in the best way. I never enjoyed the sequels but will always maintain that the first movie is perfect. ❤
Please watch more Saw movies . Saw 2 also has an amazing story and reveals and we actually get to spend more time with the Killer and he's amazing.
1 to 7 are a masterpiece, and i dont see them as horror films but a police thriller. Then they did the reboot trying to shoehorn in more stuff, but didn't have the same vibe or attention to detail and i haven't seen Spiral cuz like i said 1 to 7 are a full story with a proper end, glad you liked it but the reaction was a bit short
The next few movies are definitely well-worth watching. They are interconnected and you get to learn more about the Jigsaw serial killer and his backstory.
Not bad for a couple of film students from Melbourne who came up with this idea for a movie

I think the second saw movie is just as good if not better than the first. The ones after aren’t as good, but still enjoyable and they each have a twist at the end

@@mirandaosborne7196 I genuinely like saw 4 more than 3, but I get why people stopped at 3 cause that’s when John Kramer officially dies. I couldn’t stand Jeff so the movie was a chore to sit though. I appreciated the route 4 went after John’s death, even if the twist reveal wasn’t that great. I think I just really enjoyed the game and the life lesson in it more. Each movie manages to have something I like though, even if some of them are bad.

Great reaction, man. The 'Saw' films always have a twist at the end and a horrific opening and with each subsequent film, we get a background story on who Jigsaw is. I think you'll like Saw 2 and Saw 3 more than 1.

As far as the sequels go, I highly suggest you watch them all and come to your own conclusion. I personally love the first 3 or 4. But some don't like it after 3. But at the same time I also know quite a few that absolutely love the ones after 3. It really is one of those franchises that you have to watch them all and come to your own conclusion. I love them all but the first 3 and /or 4 were my fave, although I haven't seen them in a while. I wouldn't listen to folks that say don't watch after a certain one, definitely watch them all and come to your own conclusion.💯😊✌️

That was the part that was still good. That was still one of the psychological thrillers. Everything that came after that was just torture.

adam isn't ezra miller he's leigh whanell he works a lot in writing and acting with his buddy james wan directing including yes in the insidious movies he also wrote the short film this franchise is based on basically the short film was him smoking being interviewed as a suspect for these killings

Another reactor asked about what would happen since they didn't have a warrant. I'll tell you what I told them: the police can show how they deduced the location from their detective work studying the evidence, they can then claim exigent circumstances - perhaps even probable cause... and that they feared another victim had already been selected, and placed in that location based on the history and evidence. It was a matter of life and death.

Saw got treated so unfairly when it vame out. the people calling it torture porn, obviously didn't pay attention to a damn thing in the film other than the gore. non horror fans should not review horror movies... that's how good films get bad reps.

I think this movie doesn't get enough credit, because the multiple sequels were terrible quality, but the original is a near masterpiece.
There will be Torture Porn! Just keep watching. I love this series! There's ups and downs with the quality of the stories, but overall I feel like every movies is a must watch. Although I will say at some point the movies blend in together and I lose track of what happens in each movie. There's a big Drop off after the first trilogy but like I said you should watch all of them at least once.
They get kind meh as it goes on but Tobin Bell just carris it I always come back for that and the end twist

This probably has one of my favorite soundtracks of any horror film. Charlie clauser the former keyboardist of nine inch nails composed it. And this basically is if the downward spiral was a movie or if you could put it into visuals it would clearly be this. he does not get enough respect in my opinion.

The first Saw movie is never what people expect it to be because it was originally a character driven indie film. It was only after it became a franchise that it became torture porn nonsense.

Everyone thinks it’s all gore until they get 3 movies in and realize it’s just about deep broken people trying to find an appreciation for life even in the darkest moments. It’s still an experience
