Emergency Relief for Shipibo Healers & Local Workers

- Partnering with our non-profit sister organisation, the Chaikuni Institute, we are raising funds to support the Shipibo healers and local workers of the Temple of the Way of Light, and our close friends and allies at two Shipibo, family-owned and run centers, Niwe Rao Xobo and Shipibo Rao. 100% of the funds from this campaign will go to the Shipibo healers and local workers in the Amazon who urgently need help to cover food and living expenses over the next six months.

For many years, the Temple of the Way of Light, Niwe Rao Xobo, and Shipibo Rao have facilitated deep healing and profound transformation for many thousands of people. With the impacts of COVID-19, like so many other organizations across the world, they are now facing a serious challenge. The impact of a loss of revenue for these centers is directly affecting 80 local staff and healers, and their often large, extended families - roughly 500 Amazonian people, many of them children and elders.
The sad reality is that many people in the Amazon have stopped living from the land and rely almost entirely on income to buy food. Food packs and financial aid from the Peruvian government are reaching very few people and the very real threat of widespread famine is increasing on a weekly basis. With sombre predictions for the Peruvian economy for the near future, it will be extremely difficult for most people in the Amazon to earn any income.
We are guided by the Shipibo philosophy of akinananti, which most closely translates to reciprocity, mutual aid, and respect. Our aim is to raise $80,000 to provide each person with $1,000 to partially cover food and living expenses for 6 months. 100% of the funds raised through this campaign will go directly to the Shipibo healers and local Peruvian staff from the Temple of the Way of Light, Niwe Rao Xobo, and Shipibo Rao, to cover basic food costs, essential living expenses, and cost of medications (including oxygen tanks if needed).
We foresee a significant increase in the number of people seeking healing once the travel restrictions have passed. The ancient healing traditions of the Amazon will be critical in the new paradigm that is emerging from this pandemic. However, our healers, local staff and their families now urgently need your financial support to make it through the next six months.

U remind me of my grandpa (God bless his soul) who used ot give me 10 usd on Christmas, then asks me to giving him exact breakdown how I spent it, or else he would make me feel like a total fuck up,,, moral of the story, if u r not in peace enough to donate,,, don't, go find a.
