This song and the Wild Rift Star Guardian event happened the day before my mom first got diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, and she passed away last night. I often played this song throughout the year-long battle, but now there is peace. This morning was a rainy mess, but there was sunshine in the afternoon. I like to think it was her. This song will always have a special place in my heart. ❤️
Probably the most beautifully crafted song I've ever heard of Porter's. The way he sings, the way he writes such beautiful melodies and lyrics and climaxing it with his unique Drum and Bass performance is something out of this world.

A lot of Porter's songs are about learning how to move on in life. I really appreciate it because I'm always going through hard times but his songs are what keeping me going.
My dad just passed away unexpectedly two days ago at night after our family having fun in a beach.. It was all great until he suddenly have trouble breathing at night while getting ready to bed and passed away on the way to the hospital. Now the lyrics "I wanna take you to the sea. And when I'm better we'll do everything. I gotta stop making promises I can't keep." hit very hard..
On July 18 I lost my mother to Alzheimer's disease and this song speaks to me in many ways. Thank you, Porter, for helping me get through the toughest moment in my life.
You wrote, "Will you meet me in the daylight like we did before? Then I felt you on my shoulder, and you weren't suffering anymore" for a grieving heart.. thank you. This lyric always brings me to tears

I thinks it's evident why Porter keeps producing banger songs each release; the guy literally pours his heart and soul into his music. Keep rocking on dude!
i can’t stop listening to this song. your calmly voice, the way you sing the word “darling”, the instrumental, the video, the beautiful lyrics, everything in this video… words won’t enough. thank you porter for making this masterpiece.
This song is a true marvel, casting a spell that deepens my grasp of life's worth. We often tangle ourselves in insignificant things, forsaking what's truly vital. When I hear the song I feel as if I'm a old man nearing his last breath, yet wearing a contented smile. It weaves together clear insight, poignant sorrow, and pure joy flawlessly. Porter, you have my heartfelt thanks.
I never heard this song until today when I picked up an overturned card on my bedroom floor which turned out to be a greeting card from my grandmothers funeral from earlier this year. I look down at my phone playing random music and saw the title “Everything Goes On” and began to feel overwhelmed by the synchronicity so I sat on the edge of my bed to look out the window while holding that card with her beautiful photo on it and that’s exactly when the verse “Well you were staring at the window” began and I just totally lost it. I miss you grandma ❤
Everytime I listen to this, I must hold back my tears, this song has reached to my broken heart. Thank you Porter Robinson, thx so much for creating a fantastic artwork.
God damn it man, how do you keep making songs that hurt me so much? The pain of loss and acceptance, the desolation of moving on, the smile to try to keep it together. The last moments before departure. The desperate bargaining to make the future more palatable. All for naught. And the ever present, immutable consolation that their life, this pain, and all the memories that make up our time together will fade as and time continues to tick the world inevitable goes on.
This song literally never fails to make me misty eyed. It’s incredibly evocative, heartwarming, and gut wrenching. It perfectly embodies “don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.”
I've been in love with this song. This time it appeared in a dream I had where a friend I had died due to something incurable. And this was the last song he composed. We all sang it with him, shooting the MV in the hospital and that night passed away. So now it's the first thing I heard this morning. 😢
I haven't been so enthusiastic about a song in a long time. I FREAKING love this song! The vocals, acoustic strumming, the bass, pianic melody, energetic beat, EVERYTHING is so perfect.
Following the release of Nurture, it was my assumption that album would be peak Porter Robinson. I was proven severely wrong... Love the music Porter 💖
I lost one of my bestfriends 3 weeks ago to suicide, and this song is helping me heal, lyrics were spot on because his last message to me was ""you strong as hell. you doubt yourself from time to time, but when you get going you go damn hard. and nobody does anything as passionate as you. now remember that, blud. you remember that more than you worry.
Coming back to this song, a day after I had to put my dog down who's been with me since I was 1 and was with me through the ups and downs of my 21 years on this earth, makes me cherish him even more. I could never forget you, RIP Bruiser

But my partner introduced me to his music a couple years ago and we've gone to a couple of his concerts and seen him recently as Camp Nowhere he is an amazing performer. One of the few celebrities/artist that makes you feel appreciated and realize that he's human just like the rest of us. P.s. OBSESSED with this song
My grandma, who lives with me, has passed away of old age last night. My family and I spent years of caregiving her and it’s just so bittersweet to finally see her rest in peace. I’m really sad and I did cry, but I also know she would’ve wanted my family and I to continue to live and she would’ve wanted to be with my grandpa again.

Your live stream explaining the meaning of the lyrics was so appreciated to me. Life is pretty sweet sometimes, probably wouldn't get a personal perspective like that back then.
Listening to this song again after watching Porter break it down on stream really makes me appreciate it more. I can hear more of the details I've missed, and understand what he thought while writing certain lyrics. I wish more artists openly broke down their songs
I'm not crying, you are. Thank you for making music of outstanding quality as always Porter. The sound, vision, stories and messages that each song carries is truly lovely.
Porter is entering they prime with this one, these vibes are just top notch and like no other. Truly amazed at how far they have come so far, can't wait to see that's next
My friend shared this song with me before she left for the military. She helped me repair my relationship with making friends. I miss her so much I will look on till we can meet again someday.
There's this particular style of music that makes me shiver and tear up, inciting feelings of nostalgia for a life that I don't even have... this song, as well as Lay your hands on me by Boom Boom Satellites (which I think shares some similarities even within the genre) makes me feel like that for whatever reason. I'm so glad I was able to listen to this track during my life ♥
I knew you from some songs I played on Osu a long time ago, but never gave your songs that much attention, probably because I'm more of listening to other genres that make me feel adrenaline or powerful. But now this one song of yours touched my heart like no other and I feel like sad and nostalgic since my life is like I just run and run without thinking about the past because I have enough time with all the problems and stuff. That's why I usually listen to other type of music that make feel powerful in order to continue. But now that I finally have some time to think about my steps and how I got where I am... it's too much to process and this song just made me let it all out while I think about everything that's been going this recent years... That's why I wanted to say thank you for this beautiful song, it really helped me a lot...
These visuals definitely feel like this is gonna be used as the visuals for the live performance of this song, it matches the aesthetic / design of the majority of songs' visuals for Nurture live. Hopefully he'll debut it at Second Sky for his live rendition of the song.
I love listening to this song and I also tribute this song to my mother. It was On Earth Day of 2024 I lost my mom to liver cancer and COVID. It was raining and cloudy I cried so hard and my family was also sad. She was my best mom who gave me many things in life and I love her so much ever since I was born. But now all I can say for my last words to her. " I love you forever Mommy and let us pray for her from heaven" it's time for me to fight the rest of the year without her.💕💖😇🙏
This song always makes me think of my dad. He wanted to go to the beach but I kept putting it off due to work. Now I wish I could go with him one more time.

"I told you to forget me, but you stayed by my side."
Really felt this simple lyrics, made me cry.
as of sunday, i’ve been grieving the loss of one of my cats; this song has helped so much as I continue to grieve for my loved ones i’ve lost to the pandemic & now my baby. 💜💜 Thank you Porter & Riot for this collab
Lost my dog around the same time this came out & it also helped me so much 🥹🥹🥹
Don't try to make yourself remember, darling
Don't look for me, I'm just a story you've been told
So let's pretend a little longer
'Cause when we're gone, everything goes on
Well, you were staring at the window
And I said, "I wanna take you to the sea
And when I'm better, we'll do everything"
I gotta stop makin' promises I can't keep
But if I was gone tomorrow, won't the waves crash on?
Is it selfish that I'm happy as we pass the setting sun?
Someday I'll be overcast, but you won't have to cry
'Cause we'll do the grieving while I'm by your side, I said
"Don't try to make yourself remember, darling
Don't look for me, I'm just a story you've been told"
So let's pretend a little longer
'Cause when we're gone, everything goes on
And I'm so scared of getting used to this
All the vines that keep you tethered in your room
Well, someday both of us are leaving here
But for now, I'll just bring the sea to you, oh
Will you meet me in the daylight like we did before?
Then I felt you on my shoulder and you weren't suffering anymore
You said, "I'm sorry that you worried, " but don't apologize
I told you to forget me, but you stayed by my side when I said
"Don't try to make yourself remember, darling
Don't look for me, I'm just a story you've been told"
So let's pretend a little longer
And when we're gone, oh
Everything goes on
This song is my new addiction! I love everything about it.
Why this song is so heart touching?

Imma call this one of the most phenomenal song. It's just hella amazing.
Edit: I just realized that this song talks about a couple and the other dies. It just suits xayah and rakan's story. 😢 I'm hella touched.
Porter’s voice is so beautiful
I've heard this song so many times yet I can still feel goosebumps appearing on my arms after the song ends
I thinks it's evident why Porter keeps producing banger songs each release; the guy literally pours his heart and soul into his music. Keep rocking on dude!
Every time I listen to something that you made I start crying for sadness or for happiness.
Thank you, Porter
i can’t stop listening to this song. your calmly voice, the way you sing the word “darling”, the instrumental, the video, the beautiful lyrics, everything in this video… words won’t enough. thank you porter for making this masterpiece.
I repeatedly listened to it and 1:15 Porter and rika It sound had a very lovely tone 🥰
This song holds so many different emotions at the same time . I hope no one loses someone precious ❤️❤️❤️
日本からのファンです!いつも素晴らしい音楽を届けてくれてありがとう!
Me too😊 I'm japanese. I like the songs you make.
I've been in love with this song. This time it appeared in a dream I had where a friend I had died due to something incurable. And this was the last song he composed. We all sang it with him, shooting the MV in the hospital and that night passed away. So now it's the first thing I heard this morning. 😢
i don't know how this man does it but the past two years have just been banger after banger - this is easily my favorite song of the summer
Omori :> (sorry)
No other artist has made me shed as many tears... of joy, sadness, pain and hope
I needed this
🙏
When I listen to your music, I feel alive and at peace. Thank you.
I'm so sorry for your words, his last words are so powerful and moving, he thinked about you so beautifully even while he was in a dark place
Coming back to this song, a day after I had to put my dog down who's been with me since I was 1 and was with me through the ups and downs of my 21 years on this earth, makes me cherish him even more. I could never forget you, RIP Bruiser
Love each of Robinson’s songs from the bottom of my heart
Tks for healing me and saving me from my terrible life
Ngl, wasn't a huge fan of Porters at first.
Every time i watch this i'm crying like my soul tearing me apart from within. God bless you, Porter Robinson!
I lost my mom about 3 weeks ago this makes me think of her and her wisdom I miss her so much

it’s nice to know somebody else thinks about the same existential ideas that i do. i wonder what will happen thousands and millions of years past me. i like to listen to this song because it helps me stay in the present. i can’t believe you actually produced something this amazing, both technically and musically. you are really talented porter, thank you so much

Porter, I hope you know how many broken hearts you've helped save and nurture with your music
The song is so beautiful that I have to cry each time. I don't know why it hits me so hard
I listened to it once and now I can't stop.
Porter is entering they prime with this one, these vibes are just top notch and like no other. Truly amazed at how far they have come so far, can't wait to see that's next
He's evolving! I made a cover with a music video of this, would mean the world to me if you check it out
My friend shared this song with me before she left for the military. She helped me repair my relationship with making friends. I miss her so much I will look on till we can meet again someday.
this song sets a magical vibe
切なくて、優しいPorterRobinsonの曲が好き❤
There's this particular style of music that makes me shiver and tear up, inciting feelings of nostalgia for a life that I don't even have... this song, as well as Lay your hands on me by Boom Boom Satellites (which I think shares some similarities even within the genre) makes me feel like that for whatever reason.
I'm so glad I was able to listen to this track during my life ♥
Days 12 and i can't stop listening this song over and over again.
i got addicted to this song, its been 2 months now i cant stop listening!!
To me, this is one the most beautiful song I’ve ever heard

This song is so beautiful. Glad im alive at the same time as Porter Robinson
" I love you forever Mommy and let us pray for her from heaven" it's time for me to fight the rest of the year without her.💕💖😇🙏
Condolences

This song makes you feel happy, sad and nostalgic all at the same time and I love it.
Whenever I feel down.... I just listen to this
This song always makes me think of my dad. He wanted to go to the beach but I kept putting it off due to work. Now I wish I could go with him one more time.
I can’t do anything but smile when I hear this tune. Thank you Porter for your genius peeking through so often. You make my time on this planet better son.
cant stop listening this song, i really really love this song. i cry everytime i heard.
listening to this after watching the first episode of Oshi No Ko has given me an entirely new reason to cry to this
Such a masterpiece, makes me cry most of the time.
Porter, this song is so special to me, more than any other one from you I’ve heard , these lyrics and concept have honestly changed the way I looked at songwriting

my favorite POP song of the year baby, everytime this song playing i cant stop singing along lol

After Shelter, this is another sample of pure talent on his part, since you feel the feeling that Porter had when creating this song, and precisely all that is summarized here, thanks for create such beautiful songs
bruh....the way you pick Shelter and skipped the whole "Nurture" album
Wrong again Porter's song always good in all the time ,and he did have lotta good and perfect song
But hey I feel ya bro
@@dan_noo I did not rule out nurture because it is an album project, instead if we see the context of singles, this is like the second best after Shelter because it's not in the album
@@minyan6214 I know that, that's why I say it's another show of talent, this guy won't get tired of creating good songs, and I'm glad for that :)
@@AnkellSounds idk, I still think that Flicker, Sea of Voices, Goodbye to a World, Wind Tempos, Dullscythe (yea, imo at least, love this song) and Unfold are better than Shelter!
Don't get me wrong though, Shelter still rocks but I just feel like it overshadows lots of other Porter's works
