Regarding Turok Rage Wars, It's my understanding that they just simply agreed to give you a new copy of the game that wasn't glitched, and it happened to be a grey cartridge, because that was cheaper to produce. It's not as if they "fixed" your personal copy of the game and gave you a new shell. This was a smart way for them to do this, because a lot of us were too young to complain at the time and so only the ones who were savvy enough and old enough to complain were the few that got taken care of. Less work for them. I personally didn't like the game because I always (and still do) play with inverted y-axis controls, and this game for some wild reason, decided to not allow you to adjust it. It was simply unplayable to me, and still is til this day. I grew up playing Goldeneye and like many people who did, I forever was an inverted y-axis FPS player. It reminds me a lot of skateboarding or snowboarding (which is my other hobby). Once you've chosen or gotten used to stance, left or right (regular or goofy), you can never go back. It's just as hard as choosing all of a sudden that you'd like to become left handed. Too late..
I definitely never played long enough to even know there was a glitch at the time. Anyone who did and was able to jump through the hoops to get a grey cartridge were certainly rewarded with a cool collectable! Even if it wasn't the best game 😋
I have only listened to 4 minutes of this but I really had to compliment how you take your time with words.
Its very relaxing
Thank you for the kind words! I really appreciate it!

I think I got it when Blockbuster Video was clearing out their old inventory at the time. Thanks for watching!
