Thank you for getting straight to it instead of giving us a 10 minute history on how you loved sewing as a little girl, your grandmother taught you how to sew, you still love to sew doll clothes, blah, blah blah 😂
Back in school my teachers wouldn't teach me how to use this because they said "you won't always have one when you need it" IT'S BEEN IN MY SEWING KIT SINCE 199-FUCKING 5 IT'S ALWAYS BEEN THERE and I only JUST learned how to use it with this video....WOW never threading by hand again.
Hello dear. I been doing a lot of reading on your blog. And thanks for all that you do ..my seamstress caught covid and is no longer altering for me. I am very petite.all my skirts and dress's are too long and too big. I dont have a sewing machine. And dont know anything about them....I want to hand tapered sides of skirts from hips down and hem ..so i can do by hand just takes time correct ? .i never really sew anything in my life..from what i read on your blog a backstitch or running stitch is good to tapered sides of a skirt/dress..and just try my best .should i try to keep stitches close as possible right..and then just any hem stitch can work..mostly all my skirts and dresses are lightweight stretchy fabric..what kind of thread and needle do you recommend.. eventually i do want to get a sewing machine when i get enough money and courage lol.....thanks so much for your help sweety. Looking forward... Be safe god bless
Hi Sarah, Yes backstitch is the strongest. It takes a little longer than running stitch but it will be better in the long run. Just just a universal needle and polyester thread. Good luck.
Sure it works that easily with a needle that has that large an eye, but with some needles it's a lot more difficult. I've broken 2 of these little cheapy threaders (they usually come in a tiny sewing kit you can get for a buck at the Dollar Tree). So I've concluded that I must make a big (maybe $3 -$5) investment and get a slightly more serious one.
I love how there was no long introduction!! Straight to the point thank you! 🌸🌸🌸

Thanks for sharing! You could also buy needles with a slightly bigger eye. And stay away from threading dark colors as these are the hardest.
Oh thats what that dime shaped thing is for
Yes, lots of people just throw them in their supplies and forget about it. They are quite useful. Thanks for watching
For so many silk threads I want to use show once
You will need a needle with a larger eye for many threads at once. Perhaps try an embroidery needle.
