About 3 years ago (I'm 19 now) we went back on a roadtrip in the south of France and the same happened, I was feeling anxious and depressed but as soon as we went a little more up north (not even to go home) I was feeling better. I came to the conclusion that I wasn't homesick, just the south makes me feel horrible, the light is different, there's something about it that creeps me out. Maybe Everly wasn't just homesick, maybe some places just makes her feel uncomfortable, I'm very sensitive regarding the vibe of places I stay in or visit, maybe it's her case too. You're a really good mum listening to your child even if she's very young. Love to both of you❤
reading this was very relatable, I never knew if I was weird for feeling that way but I sometimes also had moments in the car where I would just feel strange and sick out of nowhere, usually in tunnels or dark cities, and the moment we went back to a nice area I'd feel great again. could definitely be the case!
I put my parents in a similar position when I was younger, I got terribly homesick (although I wasn't able to communicate it yet) and had a lot of anxiety. I don't remember why, I liked the area we were at and hadn't ever suffered from anxiety before. my parents were concerned and thought I was catching a stomach bug with how I was acting, I went home with my dad the next day and my mom and sister stayed for another week. I felt a lot better already the moment we got in the car. it's one of the only childhood memories I remember and I'm forever grateful for how my dad handled it (especially considering my lack of communication)
not saying she definitely was homesick, just that it reminded me of it. I wouldn't be surprised if she actually felt sick, I have to say that I usually feel a lot worse getting sick away from home than at home. knowing she was gonna be in the safe space to recover could've helped her feel better instantly as well. regardless of what she had, I'm really glad you're so on top of it and you handled it well! if she got homesick / felt anxious I hope it's something you can work on together in the future. I don't doubt you'll remain to take great care of her ❤️

@@teszora981 After the scene with the rocky beach (Malibu, California), Maddie suggests to Everly that they go to a beach with some sand. So, they go to Santa Monica, California. On their way there, Everly starts to ask Maddie if they can go home. Maddie can tell that something is off with Everly. At first she thought she was just tired, but when they get to a park, Maddie asks Everly if she’s feeling okay and she tells her that her stomach hurts and that she’s tired. Everly starts crying, saying she doesn’t want to throw up (vomit). They both start walking on the beach and there were points in time where Maddie seems to be having fun. They collected some seashells and had some fun, but then Everly starts to cry and asks to go home. Maddie realizes that Everly is really feeling sick (and isn’t just tired or in a bad mood) and texts her friend and cancels (she felt bad about having to do that, but obviously she’s going to put her child’s needs first). Maddie starts to realize that there’s something else wrong. They get back to the air B&B and Everly goes straight to sleep. Maddie decides to not chance getting sick as she’s trying to save money anyway and books a flight back home to their home state of Texas. She had a motherly instinct to get home as soon as possible and she didn’t know why. When they start packing, Everly seems to start feeling better. Once they’re in the car, Everly starts to talk more. Maddie thinks that this is due to the elevation (of the mountains) and anxiety. Part 2 of her story: They get into an Uber and there is tons of traffic. They miss their flight because of this. She calls her grandma and asks what to do. She gets a second flight but misses that one as well because customer service was taking too long. They were put on a standby list and at the last minute their names are called. Maddie is relieved and starts crying; she has really good seats on the plane. Maddie says this was a learning experience for her and apologizes this wasn’t more of a travel vlog but plans on making one soon.
Maddie, you are an amazing momma. The way you know your baby girl is amazing to see. She’s a lucky girl to have a momma who loves her like you do. A mom always can tell something is up with their child. It’s motherly instinct. Also, she’s getting so big… where did time go?!😭 Another thing, off topic… Totally not the point of the video at all… but what mascara do you use?? It looks so good.
Maddi, your such a pretty girl. When you wear makeup, just wear mascara and a tinted lipgloss. Your skin is just flawless. This is a compliment so don’t take it the wrong way!!!!
Maddie is it possible that Everly has a dairy allergy or some other food allergy? For a young Mom I am very impressed how you put your daughter first. Always pay attention to that mother's instinct, it's usually right. 🙏💖
I think she was just homesick, hunny. When you go travel to work because it is apart of your job, providing for you & your little one, leave her with your mom & video chat her as much as possible, but try to work where you can see her as much as possible in person💕
That sounds so stressful but you made it back and you watched out for your daughters welfare which is not always the easiest thing to do. Then the fact that she went back to being well. I would have been second guessing myself and I would have felt frustrated. But they are just little kids and they do what they do and half the times we have no clue why. Its just up to moms to love and protect them. It's amazing you do so much as a mom. You gave us real life here.

Maddy, you're just beautiful. Well done mummabear ❤🦄
Maddi, your such a pretty girl. When you wear makeup, just wear mascara and a tinted lipgloss. Your skin is just flawless. This is a compliment so don’t take it the wrong way!!!!
elevation tip - drink water !!! hydration helps w elevation sickness. also we went to the same ms but i was in 6th when u were 8th lmao
You are a great mom maddie
You are such a great mom to her
She tolerates her daughter interrupting so well😊
Cute daughter! I pretend home now. God bless!
Yay another vlog 💖 aww poor Everly I hope she feels better. I absolutely love your vlogs
I love watched both of you together 💕
You are an amazing mom
I don't know why you felt like you owed anyone an explanation, you decided to go home early! I've had anxiety my entire life too and wished my parents had been more sensitive to it. Good job mama!
I feel in life i don’t have anything to live for and I think if I had a little baby it just would be amazing
Every throwing the peace sign on the plane😂🤣😂🤣
It's great that you really are listen to your child. You guys are going to have great memories together! Btw, you're more beautiful even without the make-up!
