Thanks for this indepth review!. A tip: more high end/expensive condenser microphones are usually more sensitive thus they are set at a lower gain to prevent blowing the mic up. This is why some microphones require more gain on the soundboard. This explains why the mic was more quiet than the provided Maono mic, keep this up you have one of the most indepth technical reviews out there on this brand!

one thing to mention about recording clips:
it's really difficult to avoid the dead air at the beginning of the clip. how many seconds does one hold the button down before we can record? it would be nice to have a sound effect play as soon as the button is pressed.

The good combination is the Manocaster E2 and the FiFine K688 microphone. All the effects and EQ on the Manocaster are excellent except the pitch correction.

Still, I have a question about the AME2 for which I cannot find the answer anywhere 😭 I would like to know if several custom soundpads can be played simultaneously (for example by looping the A '1min' AND the B '1min' together with some delay - Or by triggering some short '20s' effects while having the A '1min' looping). Is that something you have tried with this device? Thank you in advance for your feedback.
As per my test, it's one a time only let's say you press A and as soon as you press B-it'll change to B only. Even if you turn on loop-same thing.
I have gone though your videos and they're great! Thank you so much! Is it possible to record multitrack on the host device? I'm not finding anything on this which is making me think it's not possible.
You are right as far as I know these sound cards can’t record multi-track unless you use an audio software.

Hi sissy. I got my E2 today. I want to ask about aide chain. Where can I make the background music only a bit lower not totally quiet? And Do you have a video using E2 with laptop recording like OBS? Thank you.
If you don’t want totally quite, then don’t use the side chain, play the music and manually adjust the volume as you desired from music source or AUX in. I have not tried OBS yet.

Did you use a laptop or computer for streaming? If you did, you should turn on the loop back. If you used a phone, iPad, or tablet for streaming, for make turn the OUTPUT volume on high?

Hi pls explain does mic input 1 and 2 both share the same reverb effex or can they be set differently, and eq also?
They share the same vocals effects. The only different is the volume control.

I would like to use sound effects and wanted to know if the sound has to come from the mic or can you connect this to a pc and play sound in the pc and record it on the device? Yes you can record from a Pc, other phone, tablet, iPhone, from mic or guitar or keyboard , etc. to this maono E2. The top 3 buttons you can record up to a minute while the button ones are 20 sec

Ps. I was setting up my E2 for the first time with 2 PD100 dynamic mics by Maono and purchased the adapter female xlr to 3.5mm but it's not working, do you happen to know if it has to be a condensor mic?

There is a control at the back. You have to set it to dynamic mic setting. I noticed in that set up the mic connected to the mic 1 with xlr port using 6.35mm to xlr is more louder than in mic 2 with 3.5mm mic port. If you use a mic splitter through mic 1-your 2 dynamic will have equal mic volume
@jenuds Thank you! I did switch the setting to dynamic from the condenser but I will try the splitter idea and switch between the settings to see, I did order a female xlr to 3.5mm cable instead of using the adapter.

I have 2 questions: 1) have you tried using the Bluetooth connection to have a two way conversation on iPad or iphone using FaceTime or even a regular call and 2) It sounded like there was a lot of distortion when you demoed the live stream on the Mac using USB…is that a flaw with this unit or was it a settings issue that can be corrected? The Bluetooth feature is only for connecting a background music wirelessly like you tube songs. The device for calling, streaming or recording has to be connected to the Maonocaster E2. Can you tell me which video or the link or title as I want to check the distortion on the video that you were referring.

That’s the setting issue. If you zoom it in, my mic volume was too high. Audio would be different if I lowered my mic volume.

Hello friend.. my imac does not detect the maonocaster e2... but my laoptop with windows does detect it.. what do you think could be happening?
Normally if windows detect it, it should also be detected in mac or iMac. I would try a different cable (usb c to A) and go to sound setting in your iMac and check if there is something new being detected coz sometimes names are different. Just make sure maono E2 is turned on to be detected otherwise it will not be detected if it’s off.

Hi, when i’m doing live streaming, why the sound volume is low? Is there any way i can increase the volume? I’m using the same model, maonocaster e2..
Sound supposed to be a decent sound. When you’re doing you’re streaming please make sure the Output volume is on high or at the Maximum volume. Even if your mic and music are on high volume but your Output volume is low, your output sound on your streaming would be low.
when I use it for tiktok live stream from iPhone 12 Pro Max, will I be able to hear the sound coming from the phone? for example, when I talk to him, will I hear him? I had a v8 sound card and there was no problem there, when the phone was connected I heard background music and the sound that came from the phone in the headphones, but it broke and I bought a fifine sc3, but with it when I work out or talk to someone I can't hear them because there is a line in and a line out, a line in is for background music, a line out for live.😢

Most likely they’re not connected at all coz perhaps you’re not using the right lightning adapter for iPhone. Some adapter are only for headphone so you will only hear but it will not work for Recording or streaming. I got my adapter from Apple Store. I have one question: how record video/audio (example camtasia) for video tutorial?
I believed most of the phones are compatible to Maono E2. I suggest, try first using your phone - open built in camera of your phone then set to video. And follow the connections I did on this video. You can also record the audio first then record the video afterwards. Whether you record audio/video simultaneously or separately, you can edit it afterwards to any video editor you have. Sorry I am not familiar yet with camtasia.

Both of them are great. If you want to connect lots of mic and a clean audio output but less reverberation go for Synido 100. If you want lots of echo, to adjust your reverb and have 2 mic control- go for MaonoE2. Not sure yet for tiktok live coz I heard about compatibility issues and I can’t do a test coz I only have 30 followers. 😇 If you don’t mind to follow me, it would be much appreciated 😍. @jenuds1

Hi im so confused. I tried this on my iphone as recording with the jack to lighting and my source of music on my ipad via bluetooth but my iphone is not recording any music even my voice 🥲
If your lightning adapter is from Apple Store, the issue could be something else. Very common issue is the adapter, if not from Apple Store most likely it’s only as headphone adapter for you to hear but won’t work for recording or streaming.

Please tell me why I can’t hear the Moanocaster recording when I watch the recording on my iPhone video
Perhaps the lightning adapter you are using is not the right one. Not all lightning adapter works for recording. Perhaps your adapter is only as headphone which means you can only hear but it will not record or no audio on live streaming. I bought my lightning adapter from apple store. If not from apple store make sure it has mic feature as well.

Yes I used the built in camera of the iPhone.
Quick Question why waws the sound quality so much different from the computer verses phone and what do you use to record on the Mac?
I would use the built in camera then set to video in Mac to record.
And you should use the usb A to C came with the maono package to connect to your Mac. Set your input and output as the maono, then record.

Hey! So no way to have two XLR mics connected?? I have the Maono PM500 XLR and the XLR mic that came with the E2 kit. There is only one XLR connection so I bought an XLR to 3.5mm cable and it doesn’t seem to work. Any idea how I can get my two XLR mics to work? 😅
It will not work coz the maono pm500 mic needs power to work, so you need an separate phantom power if you want to use that mic and the mic bundle with E2. But if you have a bm 800 mic, it will work coz it is an electret mic which does not need a phantom power.

The Maonocaster AM100 is more designed for podcasting as it has a phone port which is ready if you want to connect a cellphone for calling or receiving live calls on live podcasting. They come in a package or may buy another microphone as you like. You should check the features that you will be using then go for it.

Thank You Maam. 1 more question When I connect my monitor speakers to E2 for karaoke purpose the sound is not as loud and I get a whistling sound. Is that because My condenser Mic is very close to the speakers. Will I need to buy a mixer for karaoke setup? Can only E2 be set up for Karaoke?
Yes you don’t need an additional mixer for karaoke set up. Just buy a long cable or extender to connect your speaker to E2 so it’s not so close to the mic.
Hello ma'am I just bought this sound card and I tried to load sound on the pads.
It indicates that I'm recording but after recording but when it stops recording it couldn't play what I record it's just silent please I need your help

Not sure why mine can turn on phantom power (turn red) without inserting an xlr cable. I guess what matter is does your 48v turn on red (when you turn it on) when a condenser mic is connected thru mic 1.

Hello, I just bought the same device and I followed the step by step instructions that you demonstrated, but for some reason the microphone that came with it doesn't work. If you bought this Maonocaster E2 with mic, most likely it’s condenser mic. Turn on 48V button then try your mic. Set the back switch to condenser mic.
Where do I find the back switch? At the back of the microphone, or at the back of the device itself? I can't see the switch you are referring to. Can you pls tell.me where the switch is exactly located?

Yes you should connect your device to the live port for live streaming. Yes instead of opening built in camera, open tiktok and stream.

@@user-wm8gm1dk5k the device you use for tiktok streaming is supposed to be connected to live ports. Please note If you’re using an adapter like lightning or usb c adapter, which is not the right one, it will not work as not all adapter works. Some of them are only as headphone adapter for you to hear but won’t work for streaming.
Do i need to get a vm 800 condenser just like what you installed before I can hear the microphone provided by maono? Because the mic is not working at all.
Having a bm800 condenser mic, it works right when plugged in. If your mic is dynamic, did you try to adjust the switch at the back for dynamic mic?
I just put in the microphone that came with the product. But it's not working.
@@jenuds I don't have bm800. I only installed the microphone that came with the product. I made sure that it is properly attached to the connections on both ends. I followed the connections you did in the video. But still, no sound of microphone. What switch in the back are you referring about? I don't see any switch in the back of the microphone. It's just the connection on the back of the mic and connections on the device itself just like what you did. Please help before I will return it. I just want to make sure that I did everything right. Can I call you?
@@titamonette-usa2169 If it comes with a bundle mic. Most likely it’s a condenser mic. Connect mic to mic 1 the xlr port then Press 48V then it should work
