Already too many people had invested in these other projects, so injecting money into the world islands was going to be a financially depleting project, which Muhammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum knew but because he already took successful risks, he thought that the world islands project too would be successful. There are so many things happening in Dubai that not every tourist can afford to do in one visit. Dubai is not competing with any city in world in terms of development and growth. To ensure longevity, they need to tone it down a bit, relax, finish the projects they are doing and market them, reduce their cost of living, for both locals and tourists and it will flourish.
