@@acay5722 It's not as cinematic as in the trailer but boy was the game the most fun I've had in years while playing with 3 other friends :) The story and adventure is so organic and it's what made it very special. There are no narrative driven story, you make your own and the starting from the Island, to Scorched, then to the caves of Aberration where you are literally stuck until you find a way to get your things on the surface, to Extinction's Kaiju battles, to Genesis' biomes and bosses... It was a very memorable experience for me and my 3 other friends :) And having a tame you had since the very beginning die in front of you... To experiencing fear from seeing your first Rex, to the joy of taming it, to the feeling of "going into the abyss" in Aberration, to experiencing a massive fucking Kaiju battle in Extinction... Boy was this game a rollercoaster ride. I've not played for years but seeing the adventure you and your mate did years ago... Seeing those bases... Tames... Remnants of large battles... It's gonna make you teary eyed with Nostalgia. The game's beauty and organic adventure outweighs the bugs and problems it has :) (I do agree Official Servers are the worst though)

The person leaving notes all over the island explaining how he survived and what he did to survive, evolving technology because he knew he couldn't run around smacking dinos with sticks forever. SURVIVAL EVOLVED What did you all think was going to happen, shit it's written in the damn title. Extinction is about the dinosaurs finally being beaten with the evolution of the human brain, evolving and outwitting that which it has no business beating "dinosaurs". Honestly ARK has it's issues, but they have released more content than almost every other triple A title, I bought the game when it first came out and the dlcs to follow for like 40$. For the amount of content and work, this game is worth a couple hundred easy with all the dlc's. Shit look at call of duty, it's 60$ for tiny ass maps, and terrible laggy gameplay, battlefield is closest when comparing size, now throw in hundreds of npcs that roam, fight, and chase you. This game elevated every other companies need to push further. Respect the work being done, sure it's laggy, but they made it playable on a shitty xbox and ps4 which most companies don't even attempt with a game this size because the optimization alone would take forever let alone condensing all the code. Haven't seen a game yet with this much content, and for it's price tag, and with the amount of updates they release frequently. This is someone who only plays single player games also. Great game, great developers, go play some cod or something if you don't like it.

Meanwhile I'm riding a god-like austroraptor(from Shadlos' Additional Creatures 2: Wild Ark) that's able to scale the entirity of the island within a couple of minutes and capable of oneshotting almost every single creature it comes across, regardless of their level.

I once entered a PvE server, where 7/10 players were in voicechat most of the time. After a while someone asked why Aberration is broken, and I explained almost the entire Ark lore while everyone listened carefully. Weeks after that, they've talked about how I've ,,studied" the Ark story
From its beginnings all the way back to 2015 when it’s was under game preview to now having its own sequel in 2023 this game really has evolved to be the very best in terms of gaming that has ever been produced. Content, maps, objectives, story telling, creatures, etc. I remember seeing this exact trailer on television a few times and got very happy to see that Wild Card was able to show off their product to the masses such as this. Even if the game isn’t quite as polished as other games are it still takes my breath away from what has been made. Plus, I don’t have any complaints about the game. Compared to the OG games I use to play growing up that were created in the MB’s range yet look like 2 bit gameplay I’d say this gem is a grand step up from the older days.

See the beautiful thing about this game is that... It fits so many interests. IF you like dinosaurs but not sci fi tech then play the first 2-3 maps (the island, scorched earth, the center, etc)and the tech stuff is so advanced that honestly you could play the game for weeks and still not NEED to get into tek items. But if you like sci fi tech then you could play extinction and build a mech and cool guns and etc, and if you like blend of the two you can play pretty much any map. This game is beautiful because it fits so many interests without forcing you play content you don't want to. Yes it started as a dinosaur game but it Is so amazing to see the creativity of the ark devs and see their hard work all combined into this, ark (dinosaurs) meets titan fall meets pacific rim, etc game. I know for me at least this will be a game that I may take breaks from but will always be a game I will eventually return to. Amazing ideas, immensily expanded worlds and content(now with dozens of different creatures 99% of which are tamable, a decent sandbox (that has progressed very far in all honesty) and an amazing mod community. this game will be alive and well for a long time I hope
This is my 2 dreams of a game as a kid combined. Now I finally got the Ultimate survivor edition after years of waiting for the game to get it's last DLC so I could enjoy the biggest adventure yet. I am happy how the game turned out EXCEPT that I like die of dehydration every 5 minutes in extinction.

@Julya Flyer But now that I think about it, it would be possible, you know I modded my Ark so dinosaurs spawn up to level 3000 and can be leveled up 700 times, so the max level (with max. taming effectiveness) is 5200. A level 5200 Rex could easily destroy the frosty guy.

They are psychopaths that get to act out their fantasies, because it's technically allowed. But once again, even though you aren't SUPPOSED to be an asshole, you're allowed to. So these diseased human minds take it to the fullest extent. I was accused of stealing a goddamn fucking saddle and the mega tribe captured me, caged me. THEY ACTUALLY TOOK TURNS BABYSITTING ME, for a whole week! I logged on 6 days after it happened and my character was STILL knocked out. This game isn't fun in pvp. It's a simple game of who has the most people. Mostly unemployed 30 year olds. Yeah, you should kill people and their tames, but just don't overdo it. You have the people that won't stop at killing your 1 pteranodon, they'll secretly tail you and kill your whole goddamn tame farm. People are sick. To be perfectly honest, if they decreased the time it took to tame and raise things, I would be 100% okay with everything in pvp. But unfortunately, it takes 12 hours of sitting to tame a fucking virtual bird. Don't get me started on raising..
According to the Ark story this will happen after humans will leave the earth in the extinction age and the storys end is we have to bring those arks from the space to here by defeating king Titan and they will bring the trees and water back to earth and humans will live on earth
If i'm not mistaken, Ark takes place on ARKS in orbit around a dead Earth. Also humanity didn't exist around the time that dinos did, so they would of have to bullshit anyways.
It's gonna be weird not seeing tek dinos wandering around in the island But I love it. And also.. I couldn't wait so, I'm playing ark se until I get my hands on ascended. Man it feels so good. The adrenaline, the constant fear you get in that game and when you try to tame a big dangerous Dino. I got two carno. Killed an alpha with one of them. Alphas were bugged in og ark, when they killed something they couldn't eat it so they are hitting a corpse forever until it disappear. I complatly forgot that alphas in og ark didn't have that red fog as seen on ascended and he was just in the shadows, I thought it was a normal raptor when I realize, it was too late my carno fought him and I was desperated. I try to intervene and hit him with my spear but in one hit, he literally killed me. And so I was like.. It's over for my baby. When I saw the message '' carno killed an apha raptor. '' I literally went from burden to absolute joy. Never have killed an alpha before. And I got so much goodies from it 💋 so much prime meet. My carno is my baby. Plus I love carno attack. When he hit a Dino with his horns, it inflicts the state '' broken bones '' and it slows them down. For a start, I suggest you guys to get one but careful, they are extremely fast. Extra carefulness. As for the alpha, he must've been a low level but they are still extremely dangerous. Even a level 1. I think he was 13. Image what a level 150 does. Do not mess with alphas. Anyway, and I went on an expeditions with my two czrnos and 4 raptors to get some iron on the volcano. Now I have 400 iron. 😂 Before you get a carno go for a raptor. Bola them, it immobilizes them for like 10 sec and quickly switch to a bow with narco arrows. Aim for the head. Two arrows in the head do the trick, even on a high level. cause their torpors are extremely low. One raptor is alright but when you have multiples, those will defend you like Michael.
What are you talking about? You can make a character that looks tall and blocky, or short and blocky. I don't know what else you could possibly want...

She died and had to respawn in her bed 900 km away , lost her tek rex and the mech as well as all of the tools she was carrying. As soon as she ventured outside of her base to grab a ptera and go back recovering her stuff she got attacked by a pack of raptors and died. She ended up uninstalling after that.
If you have a crappy PC and you can still play the most awesome, complicated game ever made (at ANY frame rate), then its a compliment to the game, not an insult.
Honestly I think people had really good experiences on the game with their friends before X feature released, then people fell off so because the nostalgia and memories are so strong they just blame change for the fact that life moved forward
ark really knows how to give a good trailer, excluding the titans walking around in the wild it shows in-game footage so we know what we're getting (kinda in-game but you get the idea)

I know for me at least this will be a game that I may take breaks from but will always be a game I will eventually return to. Amazing ideas, immensily expanded worlds and content(now with dozens of different creatures 99% of which are tamable, a decent sandbox (that has progressed very far in all honesty) and an amazing mod community. this game will be alive and well for a long time I hope

Now I finally got the Ultimate survivor edition after years of waiting for the game to get it's last DLC so I could enjoy the biggest adventure yet.
I am happy how the game turned out EXCEPT that I like die of dehydration every 5 minutes in extinction.

@Julya Flyer But now that I think about it, it would be possible, you know I modded my Ark so dinosaurs spawn up to level 3000 and can be leveled up 700 times, so the max level (with max. taming effectiveness) is 5200. A level 5200 Rex could easily destroy the frosty guy.

They are psychopaths that get to act out their fantasies, because it's technically allowed. I was accused of stealing a goddamn fucking saddle and the mega tribe captured me, caged me. THEY ACTUALLY TOOK TURNS BABYSITTING ME, for a whole week! I logged on 6 days after it happened and my character was STILL knocked out. This game isn't fun in pvp. It's a simple game of who has the most people. Mostly unemployed 30 year olds.
Yeah, you should kill people and their tames, but just don't overdo it. You have the people that won't stop at killing your 1 pteranodon, they'll secretly tail you and kill your whole goddamn tame farm. People are sick. To be perfectly honest, if they decreased the time it took to tame and raise things, I would be 100% okay with everything in pvp. But unfortunately, it takes 12 hours of sitting to tame a fucking virtual bird. Don't get me started on raising..

If i'm not mistaken, Ark takes place on ARKS in orbit around a dead Earth. Also humanity didn't exist around the time that dinos did, so they would of have to bullshit anyways.

And also.. I couldn't wait so, I'm playing ark se until I get my hands on ascended. Man it feels so good. The adrenaline, the constant fear you get in that game and when you try to tame a big dangerous Dino. I got two carno. Killed an alpha with one of them. Alphas were bugged in og ark, when they killed something they couldn't eat it so they are hitting a corpse forever until it disappear. I complatly forgot that alphas in og ark didn't have that red fog as seen on ascended and he was just in the shadows, I thought it was a normal raptor when I realize, it was too late my carno fought him and I was desperated. I try to intervene and hit him with my spear but in one hit, he literally killed me. And so I was like.. It's over for my baby. When I saw the message '' carno killed an apha raptor. '' I literally went from burden to absolute joy. Never have killed an alpha before. And I got so much goodies from it 💋 so much prime meet. My carno is my baby. Plus I love carno attack. When he hit a Dino with his horns, it inflicts the state '' broken bones '' and it slows them down. For a start, I suggest you guys to get one but careful, they are extremely fast. Extra carefulness.
As for the alpha, he must've been a low level but they are still extremely dangerous. Even a level 1. I think he was 13. Image what a level 150 does. Do not mess with alphas.
Anyway, and I went on an expeditions with my two czrnos and 4 raptors to get some iron on the volcano. Now I have 400 iron. 😂
Before you get a carno go for a raptor. Bola them, it immobilizes them for like 10 sec and quickly switch to a bow with narco arrows. Aim for the head. Two arrows in the head do the trick, even on a high level. cause their torpors are extremely low. One raptor is alright but when you have multiples, those will defend you like Michael.
