this is sad that ark dev add Scorched Earth before the ark default end so they can't do an ascension after 7 years that small detail frustrated many player
In the scorchedearth ascension its like the island was the chosen arks but its immediatly switch to aberration aka the broken arks or the eternal nights

Yeah no pvp tribe megas bs just try to do bosses learn the story tame the beast trade with others and consent to wars with each other and not that offline pvp garbage. Pvp ruined this game for me... my partner n i got back to it after 4 years gone but pve... we've never enjoyed it like we have playing between us both only n trading with others. New appreciation for it. Still in pve timers need to be removed and allow ppl to carry animals or wild animals if ppl throw tames in ur base use turrets. I mean theres like no reason to even use them in pve.

@@joyy2990 if you restart 23 times could you beat the overseer even if you think the risk of losing your save by bugs is very high
Finally, someone ACTUALLY does this in 4k. Unlike that other guy that would run it in 1440 or 1080 and upscale AFTER the recording... Props to you man.

Imagine how terrifying that would be, after death you get vanish and wake up in space in this exact same room (0:14) and you see multiple other different worlds amongst ours, as you blast off into space as an interstellar cosmic omnipotent light being, as you fly past what you called your planet you reach your arms out and try to swim your way back, but to no avail you watch as you pass all the other planet bubbles, You close your eyes and relax yourself, telling yourself everything will be okay, Moments later you open your eyes again, to see yourself in a hot desert with a beaming sun right overhead, You look around to see where you are, You see the same Creatures you saw on the island
Imagine dying and being recovered in the future as an engram...
Imagine waking up on the ground in one of many ARKs as one the millions of test subjects

I miss the surprise I got firm these as I have played since day one on release and I’m happy to see scorched earth got its own cutscene now and it brings logic bc you fall down into the caves rather than spawning there

The new Scorched Earth ascension is looking great
I’m not the biggest fan of the new extinction voice lines
Noticed they changed a bit the extinction cinematic dialogue, i liked the old voice tone
i think that’s changed just so they can have the same voice actor that voiced Helena in the explorer notes
0:05 If you look close in the first overseer arena you can actually see scorched and aberration in the distance.
I actually think that one isn't Aberration, because you see in Scorched Earth ascension, Aberration is underground,you can't see it through the surface.

bru at the end of the island ascention you literally see yourself falling onto scortched wihich means its cannon. in the lore se has a tek cave like the island, but with no enemies or overseert they had to fight, but se was rushed so they didnt add it to the game, i think asa might give se some much needed expansion to tie into the lore thouhg

It would cost so much it wouldn’t be worth it, they have way more creativity with the animated tv show, also that wouldn’t work because they’d need to find actors who look like the characters, but the characters already have voice actors which don’t look like the characters. So that wouldn’t work. I

If i'm correct the cycle was going to continue infinitely, ascending from one ARK and moving to another. Rockwell actually broke the cycle and we were able to go to extinction and save Earth

In 20, 30 or even 40 years, kids will still hear about ARK as "THE (PVP/PVE) GAME" that revolutionized survival in the open world. I started in pre-alpha, a long, long time ago and still play today, a Masterclass of its kind. I can't wait to see the version 2, 1.5 will make us wait, peacefully (hmmm) .... It's the best survival game ever.

so the islands were made to terraform a planet?
yeah, pretty much. basically, element is used for war purposes, URE (United Republics of Earth or something like that) vs. the Terran Federation. element pollution corrupts Earth, issues happen. URE builds the ARKs with the help of the Homo Deus to orbit the Earth while also providing natural habitats for life within while also using the dinosaurs to make the strongest possible Survivors. Terran Federation builds the Genesis ship, using futuristic VR technology to put their Survivors in simulations instead of actual worlds to make them stronger and also prepare them for survival on an alien planet. the ARKs are built to orbit the Earth and eventually terraform it back to normal once they get the signal that it is clear to return, while the Genesis ship tries to find a different planet to inhabit. in the Extinction ascension, once that beam of light comes out of the tunnel beneath that platform your Survivor is standing on, you can see in the sky that the ARKs all start lighting up super bright, indicating that they have received the signal and are coming back to Earth.

The first 4 ascensions is really what think of as Ark, Im sure many of you know how poorly the last two genesis dlcs were compared to the original story and I realy wish they made it clear that Extinction was Arks ending, because it was, genesis was a whole different story made by a whole different writer and really doesnt have a lot to do with the arks apart from the fact that rockwell is in both. I hate how we have to think of the genesis part 2 ending as the end of ark, genesis part 2 failed in almost every way, map was extremely boring, survival went out the window with the introduction of the tek suit along with the missions, the last two dlcs(more so the last one) really just dont feel like ark. Even the music at the end of gen part 2 is lame, infact there barely is any music, just silence. I feel like they tried to rush gen 2 out way too much, its literally the least liked map out of them all and its supposed to be the best, im literally theres only 3 biomes and only 2 you can live in and then those two are so catastrophically boring and redundant that it just makes you appreciate extinction, abberation, scorched earth and even gen part 1 more, sorry for the long comment and please dont get mad if you like gen part 2 but there is seriously so so so much wrong with that map I could go on for hours, bossfights easy and lame compared to others, map sucks, zero survival aspects, creatures are very mediocre when compared to abberation and extinction, missions are still boring and basically leave no reason to interact with the map, I mean you can literally just fly in the bossfight using the tek suit given to you at the beginning and just avoid everything unitl HLNA gives you the mek to defeat the boss. The only thing Id say was good at all about it was the items and structures.
