@@linnemeyerhere I dream of owning the more Rare Technics RS-1800 with the speeds of 15 & 30 ips !!! 👀👀👀👍👍👍👌That is an incredible tape deck (Comes with the Half Track & Quarter Track recording and playback head block too !).
The transport was so smooth on these machines that it was the only recorder that could tight wind a tape in FF with no ripples. I so regret selling this machine which was in flawless condition.
Hello sir , it sure is a musically magic in every sense , if my eyes are not mistaken but just a suggestion to lower the echo to try on a carpet base floor as it will solve the echo problem and u will enjoy even more , kind regards Arthur.
Andreas Vollenweider !!! Buena elección para este tipo de pruebas, El Libro de las Rosas es encantador y hay una versión de caverna mágica en 24 bits también ideal para el reel to reel.....saludos
hi have a RS 1700 the reel table is ill on the right side a tape hit it i fix the tape holder part now there's a M4 bolt holding reel nab on lucky i am a tec i had the tools to fix it i love the sound of betacam sp decks and 1 inch 8 track recorder as well
Please don't switch the bias and tape eq switches back and fourth constantly on the fly. It really is good for the record bias circuitry. The recorder wasn't designed to be used like that. Hit stop, wait at least a half second, then set levels and go into record-play. The way your flipping switches incessantly you're going to bust something !
Sorry, but i can’t see the real problem of switching bias and eq. The circuitry is only affected slightly (internally you can adjust the three different bias levels according to the switch). I do it all the time using my RS 1506. Just to get the best recording result depending on the tape i’m using.
@@johanvanderpulst5250 How can you judge that with no direct feed from the source? The sound is from a mike on the camera. Still, i think this is a well adjusted deck.
hi i have a 1700 i did a way with the nad holder and use tasacm ones they were a pain with the line up putting inside the reel and putting on the reel holders i got god money for them
There you are talking about something.... ;) But this is one of those guys who think you have to touch an RTR machine like a newborn baby - a typical tape fetishist.
I am the proud owner of this machine for 40 years by now. I will never sell it, they will have to yank it out of my dead cold hands.
I have a RS1500US..with all the music encoded in DBX and it still sounds great after all these years
Have the same machine and it's simply the best !

I was thinking the same thing! This guy is a 'fiddler', and doesn't seem to know WHAT he's doing! Just adjusting for the sake of it!
It doesn't sound good either. I think it needs a service.

Since it was five years ago, how’s it now? Do you still own it or sold it>
Reminds me when I first set the tape to the take up my first time. I wasn’t sure how to do it Its label on the top of the cabinet
I love my B77 Mk2 high speed full track at 15ips - so much easier to thread too :)
Which model is better? RS-1500 or RS-1506?

Как можно что то услышать на wharfedale Diamond???
Just wrap the tape to take up wheel and press play the machine will do the rest.

Hi how much did you sell this deck for? Thanks
FWIW, I sold mine for $500 in 2004. Brand new condition (not a scratch, used maybe 50 hours), complete in original box. I purchased it in 1987.
@@pnnielsen I hope if you sold it to me.
