I would give him a chaos control counter as his down special and give him a teleport up special that releases a small chaos blast and can deal damage when you teleport near an opponent, I’d also change his forward aerial into a kick that can spike, it’d be cool if Sonic had the same forward aerial as well.
@zoff. I kinda disagree with Shadow being his own character. They can change his movement animation, but if we see how he attacks in SA2, then his natural B works, also his final smash can be the same as his assit trophy, Dark pit has a different final smash.

The annoucement of the aegis was amazing. As a character, I admit there were way better choices gameplay wise, but its still amazing to have the aegis in the game. Byleth absolutely deserves his slot as he is from 3 houses, big success. Moreover, he is so cool to play. Having characters just for the sake of representing a series is so boring. No one plays banjo, despite the fact he was one of the most asked character.
Shadow would be an awesome idea echo fighter, but he has his own skills that would spice up the rest of the moveset. If anyone had to be Sonic’s echo, it would probably be Metal Sonic.
I did a speculation video on how shadow could work. Theorized him as a hybrid new/shared moveset with sonic. Having the same smash attacks, but eith tweaked animations, and his own unique special moves. I also speculated on a gimmick of the chaos meter building up positive and negative, giving him the chaos control or blast when full.
If they were to add in the game, it would probably be on the fearless year shadow but since smash Bros is not really getting any updates anymore I think it’s less likely of shadow to appear in the game unless if they make another one, then I don’t think that they’re gonna be updating the game at all or adding more DLC‘s if they were more, they would be more Nintendo like maybe some more versions of the Pickman skin or even like some more games that they’re sponsoring but I doubt that they’re gonna add a shadow character just because it’s a fearless or shadow and if they did actually make the game, I think they would add shadow into the game.

Forward Throw is Chaos Blast, faster charge up too which can harm any enemy players nearby.
