Short videos like trailers and music videos can sink more effort into animation because they're very short. Doing that for a full 90 minute movie or even a 700 minute tv series massively balloons the budget.

I love how it's like an anime where a new character joins the game and it takes the entire main cast to fight this one super strong character, then that character joins the team (Megaman for example), and this same cast of characters, plus the previously super strong enemy character are now on a team, and can't beat the solo new challenger that joins the game.
It's like classic anime where once the character joins the hero team they become weak again. XD

When Sephiroth joined Smash, that whole scene he was in was just the same scene from Final Fantasy 7 when Cloud got killed but instead it was Mario.
Cloud did not die either. But he actually got stabbed by Sephiroth, whereas Mario didn't. That was pretty much the joke of the reference, because everyone thought at first glance that Sakurai would actually dare replicate that scene and have Mario die.
