Music that we despise is so personal. I enjoy learning what other people like/dislike. It doesn't bother me whether I agree or not with your opinion. There is satisfaction when I agree with a disliked song, especially if people always request the song at a piano bar.
Let It Be was written by Paul about his mother Mary who had died over 10 years ago. Paul could come up some cringy schmaltz at times but I find it impossible to hate a song that was so personal.
Im so glad you said Jack and Diane i hate that song withs passion and for some reason if im listening to some local station in the car they always play it. Rrrrrr🤬
"Oh no! Not Meatloaf again..." (R.H.P.S.) I agree with your list. I'd be curious if you know of & what you think about the song MARQUE MOON by the band TELEVISION? What say you? This old guy is gonna get back to shouting at clouds. Thanx.🍄+🎶=🤯🥴
@@oldguysmusicstuff2896Nice. Your in on the secret. How bout OYSTERHEAD? 3 dudes,singer/bassist from PRIMUS,Les Claypool. Guitarist/singer from PHISH,Trey whatshisname and drummer Stewart Copeland from THE POLICE. I think that they have only 1 album, I may be wrong. GRAND PECKING ORDER is the name. If you know, then I've burned your time,if not, maybe check out the songs Polka dot rose, Army's on ecstasy and Wield the spade for the flavor range. The album has the strength of no 2 songs being alike. Kinda hard to pull off. If you don't know, I wouldn't waste your time with bullshit. I gotta go tell these kids to get off my lawn...🍄+🎶=🤯🥴
there's only ONE song that I HATE and that's "Sweet Caroline" the Boston fans have ruined that song for, when that song comes on I can't turn it off fast enough. I have to agree with you on any Harry Chapin song though.
I despise that song so much. I get second hand embarrassment when I see people sing it! It’s always usually drunk white people at bars 😂🥴 Love yall! Don’t take offense
One of my all time most hated songs is by far: Lovin, Touching, Squeezin,- by JOURNEY !- I CANT STAND THAT SONG !- ...I HAVE COUNTED THOSE DAMN NA- NA's in that song, ( 154 ) !- I mean,- COME ON ALREADY !- And it's the most BORING BASS LINE EVER !- I BELIEVE THAT BASS LINE IS ONLY ONE DAMN NOTE !.- MY GOD, I HATE THAT SONG .
'Let it Be'.... hhhhmmmm .... its funny but the more a lyric strives to be ultra optimistic, ultra comforting, ultra sensitive --- it risks becoming the wankiest thing ever ...'when the people living in the world agree, there will come an answer, let it be ...'' something like that - its just banal - yet a song like 'yesterday' that just addresses a personal longing , regret , whatever, still rings true and touching.
Indeed - even my favorite band Zeppelin, has tunes I don't care for. When you said "Actually, Paul McCartney, really" - I mistook that to mean you didn't like all of McCartney's stuff.
After watching your 10 most liked songs of the '70's ( 8 of which would be on my disliked list ), I was curious what exactly would turn you off of a song. The first thing I noticed was 4 (40%) of the songs on this list have metaphorical lyrics. Is this what you didn't like, or was it the music? Surprisingly, this time I agree 8/10. 😁
pretty well agree on all your choices, only I don't care if it is obvious.... Honey is theeeee worst song ever. I even thought so as a young teenage girl when it was played to death!!! Also anything by the Union Gap, back in the day! Luckly those songs aren't heard much any more! Not a Ramones fan either, every song is the same and at the speed! I better stop with the songstress Nico😝
Listen to sultans of swing . Best guitar ever. Early Dire straits is bluesy rock classic songs. The song you heard was their mainstream. It was rubbish.
Well... negativity is a bust. Music is far too subjective for this kind of thing. Or, I was taught, if you can't say something good. . . . say anything at all. Oh, wait 🤨

Great list
I usually always disagree with these sort of lists, but you nailed it for me. Agree with all of it.
The tube-in-your-mouth thing from Peter Frampton
I HATE THAT TUBE IN MOUTH THING!!!
The part where he finally takes it out and does a real guitar solo is amazing though.
I am with you except I like Sylvia.

I have always hated American Pie. Annoys me to no end.
Exacerbated by the fact that it's like ten minutes long.
Im so glad you said Jack and Diane i hate that song withs passion and for some reason if im listening to some local station in the car they always play it. Rrrrrr🤬
Here to, my wife has the radio on in the barn, I walk in and guess what's playing...
Only thing worse than Jack and Diane is when it comes on and other people start singing it. Makes me shudder in pain.
Hotel California perhaps? 🤪
Great Video Again ! ....and the M. Show..
Agree on jack and Diane .American pie and meatloaf would add wear wolves of London and love shack
You know the old saying, opinions are like assholes, everyone’s got one…
Yep, I’m with ya on that. And when the radios on there’s always a load of shit that drives me crazy. 😮

Marque Moon great song and album.

Yeah Sweet Caroline would definitely be a song I never want to hear again,

Nickelback picture is number 1 for me
you mean photograph?

Agree with you on everything but McCartney - disliking the Beatles makes anyone a poser though.
For me it's ok to not like a song by a band I like...

You dislike a lot of great songs lol
Let it Be doesn't really live on the way you might think it would. I rarely hear it these days. Maybe people think it's a catholic song.

I don't really listen to lyrics that much unless there totally ridiculous.

Why don't you list the sings you like?
I'm glad you didn't hate Honey by Bobby Goldsboro or I would have to unsub.
It was on my list by to obvious...lol
Do you like chili dogs?
I do but they don't like me...
Well... negativity is a bust. Music is far too subjective for this kind of thing.
Or,
I was taught, if you can't say something good. . . . say anything
at all.
Oh, wait 🤨
Someone's trying to be edgy..sad
I don't like any song by the beatlez.
The worst is Springsteen’s aural excrement: I’m goin down. I think he repeats that about 90 times in that horrible crappy song
