- Influencer Maria Sofia Valim has died following emergency surgery. On Saturday, the 19-year-old's father, Vitor Valim, the mayor of the Brazilian municipality Caucaia, shared the heartbreaking news in an Instagram statement. "It is with the deepest pain and sadness that I inform everyone of the passing of my beloved daughter Sofia. Unfortunately, her body did not survive. I thank everyone for the prayers and affection dedicated to me and my family in this moment of extreme suffering," he wrote in the translated post. According to the family, the teen died following complications caused by a liver transplant procedure. “I would like to ask for everyone's understanding at this time of so much pain. Wake and burial ceremonies will be limited to family only," her dad captioned the update in Portuguese.

But he's right. I have no idea who half these people are. And normally they're kids who've created nothing but selfies. They die and all of the sudden it's news all over the world. In my area a woman and her nephew were shot and killed over a stolen package and I had a neighbor die in her basement because the government wouldn't pay for routine care. Where is the world coverage for these cases?

19 and needed a liver transplant? Why
A girl in my high school needed a liver transplant at age 16 or so, out of nowhere. She was a nerdy type, never drank or did drugs, regular body type. It can happen without the person doing anything.

Some Newborn babies get transplant for any part of organ. Illnesses could be cause by inflammation ,trauma, infection, water pollution,environmental hazard, air pollution , side effect of medication or vaccine etc. Anyone at any age can face health challenges .
