The whole point of Suicide Squad is deniability. There was no reason for most of them to even go there. The city was abandoned. There was no need for deniability. The only character they needed was Diablo as he's the only one with any powers. The rest of them brought nothing to the table a trained special forces wouldn't bring. In fact, the special forces would probably have done a better job.
It wasn't the jokers knives and weapons in that scene that caught my attention. If you look on the outside of the weapons circle there's fucking baby onesies and laptops and shit at the top. What for?
