What a terrific segment! Pamela is a pleasure to listen to😊Also having lived in Germany over 35 years ago and then one of our sons living there and the Netherlands for the last four, who we visited, I can attest to your experience of the bread having changed immensely! We missed the bread so much when we returned to the States & looked forward to once again enjoying. Unfortunately it was to be disappointing. So happy to have found Sue and Bread Beckers & will be starting my own journey into whole grain bread making😊All the best ladies!
I have had thick, thick hair all of my life. A while after I started baking bread from freshly-milled flour, I had to buy a new hairbrush because my hair had gotten so much thicker that the hairbrush I had been using would not go through my hair to my scalp. Also, my fingernails used to be like Pamela’s were and they are now stronger than they have ever been. I also pack my bread when I travel, even if I have to box it up and pack it in my checked bag. Just this morning I’m making my travel list for Thursday morning and it consists of rolls, muffins and cookies.
Wow! That is amazing! Thanks so much for sharing that with us! If you would like to share your story on our podcast, please email us at podcast@breadbeckers.com. Thanks so much for commenting.
Thyroid problems are linked to dairy. Dairy interferes with iodine absorption. I love all the stories people share about whole grain wheat. I mill my wheat and make sourdough bread. I'm trying to share the word with family and friends, but many do not want to hear it. I persevere as I hate to see them suffer healthwise.
How your friends and family are about wheat, is how you are about dairy. White flour brings death and real flour brings life. Just like commercial dairy brings death and real raw dairy brings life. Raw dairy has a special bacteria in it. It’s the same bacteria needed to digest wheat completely. Isn’t it amazing how real food works together?! It’s so amazing to me!
I love hearing the stories as well. I have a total of 5 sisters and 6 brothers. At least 2 of my sisters have hypothyroidism, one of which does not eat dairy. That sister said she often goes from hypo to hyper and back. She eats almost too super healthy. The other sister does have dairy (½ and ½). I (I'm female at birth and now) have hyperthyroidism. I'll be the first to admit the 'dairy' I eat is in icecream and thats occationally. I used coconut milk as my creamer (I quit when we were traveling for an extremely long time). My hypothyroidism is in remission even though I went back to dairy. About the biggest difference between them and me is that I deployed to the middle east 4 times. None of my brothers have thyroid issues. 🙄

What a wonderful bread story.
We are so thankful that you have found it valuable! Thanks so much for commenting!
I use a coffee grinder it works great and have been making fresh milled bread this year which was my only 2024 resolution
Great! We're so glad you're here!
Great interview 🥰 Would love to know the type of bread the young lady made and how often she would eat her bread? Thank you 🙏🏽💕
We are not sure exactly what she was baking, but we do know that she was using hard white wheat.
Could the thyroid changes be related to the lack of potassium bromate in freshly milled flour?
Hopefully, Sue will be able to address this in a future podcast. Thanks for commenting.

Is that true? Certainly not of raw dairy though.

I don't know about dairy and thyroid but I have been dairy-free for 6 years so don't think dairy caused it.
