Ah yes, the biggest, most dramatic Brewers/Nats showdown of all of 2019

This whole time I thought it was the wild card game

Oh yes when I clicked on this I thought “this better *not* be the Wild Card game, this is gonna be that thriller in August”
Nats fan here was frustrated as hell after this game but it was an instant classic

If the Brewers just won that wild card game we’d never have Covid-19, and all of the tragedies that followed. I’m convinced the Nats winning a playoff game ended the world as we knew it.

Nah I'd argue the cubs wining it all broke fabric of spacetime and ever since then it's all been to shit

Fun fact abt this game, yelich hit his 40th hr right after Ryan Braun hit a home run into the same general section. Yelich asked for the ball but the ushers went and got brauns home run ball rather than yelich’s. So currently yelich has his “40th” hr ball but it’s actually just a random Ryan Braun hr ball. Only reason I know this is because I sat right next to all the action 😂. But yelich will never know that that’s not his true 40th hr ball (the 9th inning hrs)

Holy shit haha. It really is a fun fact.

Huge Nats fan here, I remember watching Yelich step up that 6th at bat. Everyone was just waiting for him to hit a homerun. It was so demoralizing, but so awesome.

Yea 2019 Yelich was different, as an A’s fan he’s my favorite player outside of the A’s

There was a video called "why love baseball" that used G7 of the 2006 NLCS. If there is to be a part 2 of "why love baseball", this game should be used.

Hey sportstorm. I’m getting back into baseball after a few years away. Probably around 2003 or 2004. I mean I check the scores but I have watched a game since then. I gotta say your channel is one of the best out there for learning whats been going on. Thanks for all your hard work and awesome content. Oh and gooooooo cubs. Yeah I watched the 2016 World Series.

So classic because both teams are notorious for being the best in their division on paper and then blowing it year after year. This was special both teams were chokers but one was going on anyway...

I still cannot believe that Yelich didn't win the 2019 NL MVP, I thought he was the clear favorite. Had he not gotten hurt he probably has two of those things and is better than a role player nowadays

Seriously though if it was because hitters were adjusting things then those adjustments would tend to carry over and we would see a trend of continued upwards progress over the subsequent 3 seasons.
