After I’ve already spent about 7 million coins on trinkets and ship cosmetics. While I agree that trinkets and cosmetics could be cheaper, they should only be lowering the reeeeeally grindy milestones like fish caught, grogs drunk etc. The ones like islands visited, days at sea, cannons fired etc could stay the same as you’re going to level those up regardless of what you’re doing.
I just hope in the future more trinket levels will be added like an emerald version or diamond and we get to customize ship interiors for more trinket locations and place trinkets over hole spots and the just fall off when a hole is made
that would be pretty sick! and then have to pick them up when they get knocked down
@@wornoutsneaker also just the chest can be combined and replace the barrel behind the wood barrel and gives room to place trinkets

You're only saying that because you've most likely done the grind and now you feel newcomers will have it easy.
imo it's nice to have a few things in the game that are a long gradual process. 30 is not a lot by any stretch for an absolutely maxed trophy

i love how everytime there is a quality of life adjustment that makes grinds less grindy, all the 'professional gamers' act like it's the bad choice. Bro, just PLAYING SoT is a 2 hour investment most times. Some of us want to do SOMETHING in game without having to dedicate entire weekends to getting a trinket. We have jobs man.

i do think this game has some ridiculous grinds, but that is a crazy nerf. it didn't need to be that severe
maybe just meet in the middle? it was a huge grind, but this was also a huge nerf
rare has a habit when they realize something is too much of not just nerfing the 1 problem area, but nerfing the whole thing
as someone who has rank 50 in all the classes now, this is giving me mixed feelings

SOT developers on their way to make everything Easyer to do and call it an “update” for the 5th time in one year (they don’t spend time making actual new content)
Oh but then they'd actually have to put in EFFORT for that and you know most gaming companies would rather do it the easy way and recycle the same content and say it's "new" rather than ACTUALLY making new content.

It could be that they are working on some sort of future for the game. I dunno if it's sequel or what but there has been speculation for years that they will eventually need to overhaul the whole game.
The only thing I like about it is that it will be free to save stuff to you boat.
it'll be really nice to do that. i have stuff saved to my sloop but not to the rest of my boats because i didn't want to waste the gold. so this is a nice addition at least

i like how the things get cheaper bc i didn't buy any of the ship furnutre. i mean i have enough money but i'm just too greedy. what i don't like is that you get the golden trinkets faster. lvl 100 in a milestone was much work if you wanted it specifically or just something nice u unlock on ur time on the seas. but when u get the golden varriant at lvl 30 its not even 4 days of work and nothing u can show of or be proud of.
I agree that making the grind easier was a mistake, these challenges were supposed to be long and gathered over time

This ! I'm new to SoT and since the core of the game seems to be ''enjoy your time'', those esthetic unlock seems good gift for playing the game and still finding ways to have fun with it but unlocking those so fast make them loose value and will just leave me ''Meeh'' when I'll get them.
I think you really need the grind to get to Pirate Legend. Call it a very long tutorial if you like. I'm getting there and loving the game. Cheers.
Exactly! I got pirate legend last august. It took me the whole summer and it was great. Now that i think of it, it's really a very long tutorial. When you get pirate legend you're ready for all the adventures that await you. Good luck to you getting pirate legend, don't rush it and have fun!
it's a pirate's road and the end goal of the game so it's a pretty big milestone that takes hard work

no. that and provisions eaten/cooked, cannonballs fired, and maybe some others don't cont for it

Anyone else having issues saving cosmetics on there ships after owning multiple ships? My 5th and 6th sloop never save cosmetics. the rest are fine though
I did before the most recent update but now I can save the cosmetics just fine. All but one of my ships have saved cosmetics...kinda sad Rare caps us at 15 boats.

Different names and saved themes.
There's an achievement/commendation for acquiring 15 boats. Other than that, I'll be honest, there's no other point. It's not like you get a discount on the boat purchasing after a certain number of boats.

on sea of thieves i'm only able to make so much gold here and there when i do a small run since i don't wanna lose my loot that i manage to pick up from a few small islands and random shipwrecks while avoiding very ship across the sea

Hopefully this doesn't reset the currently locked in cosmetics 🥲 i have some blue sails i got from a live stream that werent the ones they where supposed to give out, so i immediately locked them to my ship 😅 it now says "applied by crewmate" so i think if i unlock them, they're gone
looks like ur gonna have to buy a new one of that same boat type!
