I did get my refund and I asked for full refund after thinking back on how disgusting the situation was and I deserved more than just half a refund.
Anyway, I realise how much fun this whole vlogging thing is! You get to look back on the good times, it's like experiencing it a second time :D

I am SSI certified open water diver and I can say that throughout my experience doing courses and dives ONLY with SSI centers in tioman I am not disappointed. SSI stands for Scuba Schools International and they are divecenter based organization which means that the centres must meet the standards and attitude set by SSI in order to be called an SSI Center. I belive other organizations such as SDI, NDL all also uphold a certain standard for their instructors before being able to teach for their brand.

I'm also traveling alone to Tioman to take my Rescue PADI course next week.
My personal advice for you to explore safer options, if you're female and traveling alone, e.g.:
- Request for female instructor
- Go to a diving center more reputable for its staff service

I use to go Tioman Reef Divers alone 6 to 8 time a year. And I stay at Cheers chalet more than 20 time++. Clean and green with CCTV

u must make sure bebeh..whom instructor that teach you..padi one of the best diving institute,your cert is never expired except when you in pro's level..go to padi 5 star..it is clear?

So sad to hear that scary thing happening to you... this is a problem with PADI they seem big and famous but they dont do shit to uphold the standards and quality of their instructors. You need a break from diving temporarily, when you return, try to find scuba courses from better agencies such as SSI, SDI, NDL, NAUI who actually monitor the quality and behaviour of instructors.

Agreed....y`d to be like Sicilian, NEVER FORGIVE NOR FORGET. And futhermore, i`m a father of four energertic daughters (they just like you also la....). It depends on where you are travel from. Base on my experiences:
Perhentian - White sand beaches, affordable diving course price, far from KL
Tioman - More food selections, better accommodation choices with the same price, had to spend more on ferry ticket, easier to reach by car from KL.

​@@lmnsvlogsscuba courses price has increased since 2022 😢 my survey on several ssi dive center at tioman for open water course prices in 2022 is rm1.5k compared to 2024 now which is rm1.8k 😢 increased about rm300 🥲 and rumours that it will increase slightly in august 2024 😢

There is a lot of shady “scuba schools” it’s better to go to a place where it’s recommended by a friend and don’t cheap out on it there is a real reason for the price

02:04 last time I went to tioman i took the ferry at tanjung gemok jetty instead of mersing. I parked on the side of the road next to the jetty and good fortune has it that i didn't get any ticket for the 5 days it was parked. I don't recommend doing it though.
