Do you want for the developers to bring back a forcewave skill in the possible sequel for this game? If yes, then tell me what you want them to change in gameplay and sound design for this skill. Personally, I would want a forcewave to have more range and a more impactful sound (kinda like Primal Strike). Leave your suggestions in the comment section down below.
@@ebossnz6838 They didn't. I just hope for a visual and gameplay overhaul of this skill in a possible sequel, because it doesn't look as good as it good have been, especially compared to Primal strike.
I think if we get a sequel it won’t be a while, for reasons explained on the forum, not least that the game engine for grim dawn is based on the Titan quest engine now around 15 years old, so they need a new one. Grim dawn 1 itself took over 5 years to develop, I think: at least I remember the Kickstarter in 2012 (the first and best Kickstarter I backed!), but I think they started making it several years earlier... Fingers crossed... GD with a new modern engine would be awesome.
how do you get into other constellations without putting 1 in the middle like crossroads. all the bonuses from purple dont get me into any other constilation so i dont really understand the correct order to do it for devotions. edit: i scrolled down and seen someone else asked similar question and you wrote down the order. thanks
1) yellow in crossroads--->assassin's blade; 2) panther-->lotus-->stag-->scales-->remove lotus and yellow point from crossroads; 3) empty throne-->toad-->ulzaad-->kraken; 4) azraaka-->wolverine-->purple in crossroads-->oleron (most importantly to reach and bind its prock).

@MightyBrosky Thanks for this guide! I'm currently level 20 now and using this as my build's template. One question though, how do I balance putting points into Soldier versus Oathkeeper? Should I max out Soldier first or should I alternate between levels across both classes?
@@MightyBrosky Thanks for the reply! I'm about level 48 now and have been absolutely shredding everything so far haha, this build is nuts! I'm approaching the end of the main campaign in normal+veteran (just got to Fort Ikon), and have been trying to balance gear upgrades. Do you typically go for gear that offers +Offensive Ability or +Phys/Internal Trauma% damage?
1) yellow in crossroads--->assassin's blade; 2) panther-->lotus-->stag-->scales-->remove lotus and yellow point from crossroads; 3) empty throne-->toad-->ulzaad-->kraken; 4) azraaka-->wolverine-->purple in crossroads-->oleron
I have lots of points in Forceweave but it seems to have no effect on atherial abominations. Whereas even bosses get stunned by it and small mobs usually get wiped out. It almost looks like the attack misses entirely. Any idea what's going on there?
Thanks for the video. Just got into the game and am currently a lvl 40 pure soldier, looking to see what other classes have to offer. I think we have a winner. On a side note, great music selection. I really like that 1st song, never heard it before. Love the drums on it. Listened to it over and over just for the song. Can you tell me what it is? Appreciate it.
Yes, you can absolutely use green gear. I recommend looking into faction items. If I am not mistaken, in vanilla game Black Legion gives you good stuff. In the first dlc you should look into Ugdenbog factions, and in the second dlc, check out Solael cult.
There is no need to put more than 1 point in resilience, remove one skill point from volcanic stride and put those 3 points somewhere else. Also veterancy is a 1 point wonder - another 4 points available. Oleron rage 21 is not really beneficial as it gives small amount of dmg and no more OA thus can be reduced to 20. Overall it is a strong but not very durable build in term of resistances. Physical resist is very good , armor is not bad but elemental, aether, chaos, pierce, vitality is not good overcaped. I would aim at 30+ overcapped even if that results in a bit lower damage as you can facetank properly many enemies that will debuff your resist below softcap.
Good suggestions for a more defensive approach. Can you leave a grimtools link, so that I could see how and with what you could improve my defense, without sacrificing too much from offense? I would gladly appreciate that.
@@MightyBrosky This what I wrote will free 8 points which you can distribute elsewhere. I feel attached to military conditioning (11 points) and resilience (as much as you can
@@j.b.7813 Thank you for such a detailed description. I appreciate it and I will give this a shot in the future, once I will have more free time to improve upon my build with your help. Still, accept my gratitude for your work. P.S. You can mess around and theory craft a lot with the help of grimtools. This way you will get the best practice of how this system works, how to change items, apply augments/components etc.
@@albrecht8945 In my opinion skills like resilience are 1 point wonder and the rest comes from bonuses to it. If you follow that build and put 1 point into resilience it will become 4 which is 7% def + 7 % physical resistance for 5 seconds if hp drops below 66%, then you have cooldown 15 seconds which is very nice. Investing more points in this skill however feels like a loss to me as you can boost your damage or hp or defense permanently instead of raising this skill which is situational. I would put those points into haven which is 2% more hp for a point and thus boost my overall hp with 500 which is better deal to me. If you follow the advice from above and use those points into haven and 1 more point into military conditioning (=10 in total), the build gains around 1.6 k more hp with almost no loss to damage.
hey its my first playthrough and its not going to bad on vet and I'm enjoying the build. But what stats should I focus on to optimize the build best as I finish up vet and up difficulty. a lot of my gear is falling behind my level because I'm trying to keep gear that gives me physical, internal trauma and bleed dam. each piece has a component as well. My damage has been fine but I've been a bit squishy and I make due with kiting. My resistance is at least 55% or up expect bleed at 35. If one item is better in every way but has different damage type instead of physical should I still swap it or does that damage percent not help me at that point? Wish i could just link you the build but I can write down stats if it will help.
First and foremost, you should focus on the stat, that improves your Offensive ability. When it comes to the gear aspect, it doesn't really matter what you are using, as long as you have a relevant damage types (physical and internal trauma) and you have your resistances at a high enough level (roughly at 70%, or higher), you should not have any problems with finishing a veteran difficulty. I suggest buying gear from a black legion in a vanilla campaign and afterwards you can purchase a gear from Malmouth Resistance (one of the first dlc faction), mixed with gear from one of the covenants in the second dlc. Hope it helps and good luck with finishing the rest of the game.
not bad. im not sure what you are getting out of the oathbreaker side. seems like several other classes would fit better. inquisitor comes to mind, as im pretty sure forceweave would benefit from deadly aim . arcanist would get you similar stats with a nice damage absorb
I am getting from oathkeeper natural synergy with boost towards flat and percent based physical damage, internal trauma, percent based resistance reduction from celestial presence, as well as protection from reflected damage. Usualy, when people want to build physical/internal trauma builds top candidates are Warlord, Death Knight, Tactician. Selecting Inquisitor is not a bad choice for more tankiness, rather then damage boost, although I admit, that Deadly Aim and racial damage bonuses are nice, but not mandatory. Arcanist will not work with this set. Plus in general battle mage class is not as versatile and only becomes reasonably playable with some specific legendary sets - like spellscourge.
It'll take you a long time, because most, if not all the gear pieces could be found anywhere, from any monster, or a boss. I would recommend you to farm gladiator crucible, from waves 150-170, or shattered realm from floors 65-66. This way, you'll increase the chances of getting a lot of legendary items and among them could be the gear pieces, that you seek.
