i feel like this speedrun should be changed to not include loading times, people with slower loading times just couldnt compete.
edit: just realised the title seems to be the combined ingame time just confused me because the timer on left was real time
Yep, we didn't have an automated ingame timer yet at the time of this speedrun so I had to calculate my time by hand
We now have an autosplitter script with a built-in ingame timer so it will be used for all future Trackmania 2020 speedruns.
Thanks, it's quite useful to understand how to drive and steer, especially on ice!!!

man the last ice turn on training 25 is insanely good, I never ever managed to get such a good setup..
You can actually get it much cleaner but it's hard

all I see on YT is people setting up front at the checkpoint with front wheels in the middle and back wheels on the ice to get a slow but solid ice slide, what you do seems a lot faster

I'm taking a short break for a few days and I'll be back on July 20th for some speedrun practice as I will speedrun TrackMania² Canyon at ESA Summer 2020 Online on July 31st around 7:30pm CEST !

Yo Rasta ;) Déjà GG pour les 40 k vues xD Et ensuite c’est vraiment pas mal, mais en vrai sur la run complète tu peux gagner genre 5.5 secondes au moins, surtout sur la map 19 où t’es 2.16 secondes derrière ton PB, ce qui prouve que tu peux gagner du temps ;)

yo how did you set up the autosplits
No autosplit, I split manually with the spacebar when the loading of the next track starts
The rocket booster is waaaay faster and easier to fly straight toward the finish

Yes all tracks in a row! I can still improve by a lot, the game has just been released and I haven't hunted the maps other than for the author medal

I see how a controller can give you more control than a keyboard, specially since keyboards aren't analog. How bad would steering be with the mouse?
Try a joystick 😓 its fun for challenge tho

It works for a controller, you can download the html code and edit it to suit your controls
Easiest option is the GamepadViewer website but it isn't as visually clean as the Github link
@@Rastats yeah, Gamepad viewer isn't as clean, although you can make a custom CSS theme but I'm not very good at this

What fragile thing do to your car? What's changing?
The wheels become loose so with a bad landing or some offroad driving the wheels aren't solidly attached to the car so the car isn't flat anymore

It looks like if you clean up a lot of your racing lines you'll end up with a few more seconds taken off your record. I haven't played the game so it might be different, but that's just what I see in almost all racing games

Gives ur Car falling Dmg. U need to be sure to not fall unter fragile. If u wont take care ur Steering / Engine are broken and u cant drive correctly

Actually no, speedruns are timed with ingame time, we didn't have a script to automatically calculate the game time at the time of this speedrun so I calculated my ingame time afterwards.
