I remember my parents who worked in music got a bunch of free promo CD's from Zeromancer when I was in 4th grade and gave them all to me. I rocked the heck out with my discman on the schoolbus as a baby goth child
I've finally found it! I heard this song in passing (immediately loved it) on an alt radio station in 2002.. only remembering the name of the song and the word zero in the band name. It turns out those are very google friendly search terms. Until now, I've had no success in the time's it's come back to mind and I've looked for it. Now to plumb the discography for more gold. Man, I wish they had kept up this momentum 10 years ago. They just couldn't write any more catchy, energetic hits like this, and this one was barely even a hit... When I was like 13 and first heard them I thought they'd be huge. :/
Zeromancer is exactly what we were hoping Orgy would be. We wanted these songs played on TV, it just never happened. No disrespect to Orgy I rocked them too.
That song changed my life, no shit when I was one small fella i was listening to some shitty music, rap and stuff, like all of my friends, but then I saw a ASG clip with this song, i was looping it for like 9000 hours, and later I started to listen more "aggresive" bands and i grew up for an metal head. True story!
Love this band. Saw them in El Paso, Tx with TKK and a few others at a festival. One of the Best Tightest Live shows I have ever seen. A+++ They sound better live then on CD. Damn good band! : )))
I discovered this band totally by accident (I searched for bands with a number in the name because of making a code for geocaching :D ). mackeyboy amane well it was 4 years ago I can’t quite remember but I think the point it’s making is that doctors and pills are kinda what we rely on but yet they can also kill us, also that doctors are supposed to heal but they often harm, also that society is a mess and the only thing that can save you from it is death/ suicide. Bleak but I think that’s what they’re saying.
I'll avoid a semantics argument and simply point out that, while a fan of traditional goth and industrial, one can also enjoy a simpler rock style. Someone isn't a poser for enjoying "fun" music, regardless of the genre from where it originated.
I wish I could have gone back to 15 or 16 year old me listening to this and keep slapping myself to remember Grendal and Alien Vampire so I could have enjoyed them in the beginning.
@heftomatic i also used to do a lot of drugs to this album. I think Eurotrash is a fantastic album. have you heard Information Society's "Don't Be Afraid"? It was made by the singer after the other members left the band and is very, very dark (not top-40 at all!) and highly recommended!
