Bauhaus soundtracked my teens - love them.
Great song, as a bass player the bassline almost gives this song a doomy reggae feel. i love it, and yet so simple but flows well!
Yes, absolutely, the part from 2:00 to 2:30 is definitely dub like !
This will forever remind me of an 18 year old guy I met on a school trip in DC. I was 15. He was a new wave looking guy from LI, NY and we were dancing together on a night time school organized boat cruise and we somehow started kissing… I was goth but only knew of Bela Lugosi’s dead.. he told me to listen to this song when I returned home and think of him…I did and it will forever remind me of that kiss on the boat.. 🖤
😍
Bauhaus é uma banda épica. Música maravilhosa.
Um som imortalizado com certeza !
Daniel Ash is SOOOOOOOOO beautiful!!!😍😍😍 This song takes me back to 1994 at The City Nightclub in Portland Oregon!!!
I saw them live in 1998 and it was great.
Special effects by lunatic and drinks...
I'm blessed with the same baritone voice of Peter,👌
Bloody love these guys !!!!
Clássico eterno. Isso nunca vai ficar velho!
i have a friend who always reminded me of David J Peter is a delight got to see him in Philly several years back
David J has always been a great bass player. Very underrated.
Always liked Tones on Tail and Love&Rockets but, Never got into this band other than their main hit. But first heard this song a few months ago, didnt really give it much though but decided to watch this video and give it another try. It kind of grows on you..wish I got into these guys back in the 80's.
I was 16,17, 18 driving around Atlanta with this on my Blaupunkt tapeplayer. The late eighties were alot of fun and we didn't have cell phones yet. Somehow we saw more of each other than we do now.
Peter Murphy did idolize David Bowie. so he probably got some of his ideas from him you should hear their version of Ziggy Stardust, he sound exactly lime David Bowie. So yeah Peter Murphy is like David Bowie's Gothic alter ego!!!
Everyone in the U.K. in the 70’s idolised Bowie. Except me, coz I was really young and completely gormless!
Now Murphy's the only surviving alter ego...
and bowie thought their version kicked a lot of ass.
My son & I saw Mr Murphy and the band last nite in New Orleans 2/4/19 at the old Civic Theater. They closed the show with Ziggy Stardust. You had to be there is all I can say🧛🏼♂️
i agree
First listened to Bauhaus as an art student in the 80s and proud to say this is one of my favourite songs and videos of all time. PS How I miss the dry - ice on the dance floor !
On this day, August 6th 1979, Bauhaus released their first single... Bela Lugosi's Dead.
HeLL Manson dear god I'm old. I was born in 1972.
And then there's me, just 16 haha. I'm glad I listen do old songs, love it way too much
HeLL Manson haha same, I’m 14 and wish they still played stuff like this on the radio
That's my birthday! Just different year!
That video is one hell of a work of art
This band always transports me back to the days of hole in the wall college clubs and pitchers of beer all night long.
I KNOW Right...688❣️🎉🖤💙🧷 Bar in Atlanta GA. First time ever this is my reality...12 midnight and DJ played BelaLugosisDead while first goths id ever seen danced...Next day..Little 5 pts. Junk Mans Daughter.. Bought " The BatCave" lp with my best friend Sherry Wilson...still 🖤💙🧷it.. probably More than EVER...
They are still so frickin cool
One of the best bands of dark rock.
For my opinion, the 80's music was a huge milestone in music history. The current generation has lost it, but not everyone - and I'm glad to know, that some 2000's children also discover it for themselves. Bauhaus is a door that opens into the past, into its feelings and thoughts. Thank you for all the things you have created.
P.S. Yeah, now 2018, and these songs are still infading.
Love it
Thanks for uploading. Missed this song and truly enjoyed it. Daniel Ash could have been a model.
I love their music
Always a beautiful song! 🥰

You're welcome
Timeless genius...
The band that got me into Goth music 🖤.
