    4:37 I think you made an error; 2850rpm and ÷9 boost is considered "climb power" and has a 1 hour time limit.

      Just checked the pilot's notes and you're spot on, it is indeed climb power settings. I imagine Requiem as he was typing was just excited at the thought of flying the Hurricane. 😉

      @@TheWhoamaters Well she stays in the air nicely. I've flown both, and it feels like while German aircraft are faster, they need more speed to stay happy. They love to tip stall when you're slow and pulling G's.

    This is off-topic but I wasn't sure where else to post it on your channel- Do you ever play IL-2 Cliffs of Dover? and would you consider making some tutorial videos for it? The game is very in-depth and there is so little tutorial information available and I(and several others that I've spoken to) believe that it's one thing that has prevented lots of people from getting more into it. It has also been vastly improved in the past few months; I think a lot of people are missing out on it! I know it'd be a lot of work but you're the best at it and we would all be eternally grateful for your efforts!

      Hey Fliegen, yep I have Clod and Tobruk but haven't flown it in a while. Before when I was sharing my gaming PC with my wife it wasn't easy to get time to fly and make stuff. A few days ago I finally got my own PC and my broken throttle has come back, so I'm hoping I'll be able to make content on a more regular schedule. So we'll see if I end up with a chance to make Clod content soon

    My favorite part of Il2 is not strafing targets,not dog fighting, my ultimate favorite thing is trying out new planes, wish they had a "test pilot section" lol, I'm only joking, i love it all and have been a user since it came out in early 2000s but really i do love new planes,i figured i would come up here in brush up on the newest addition to the stable, i knew exactly where to come, "Professor Requiem"

    Ive never noticed a plane not starting with the throttle set to zero, is it necessary to crack it open?

    • @RequiemsACTL
      @RequiemsACTL  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No it's not needed, but I follow RL procedures even if the sim doesn't require it as things can always change over time. At least if I do it how it should be done to be begin with it helps future proof things.

  • @Rvoid
    @Rvoid 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Thank you Requiem! It seems that I have been landing with too much speed all this time, but made it nonetheless.
    This plane is damn ugly but amazingly durable and packs quite a punch (canon versions at least)! Although chasing down enemies was quite a chore.

    • @RequiemsACTL
      @RequiemsACTL  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That's a very common issue! Flying too fast on approach that is. You'll notice that one if you seem to float forever down the runway 😁 If you fly the correct approach speed then you'll be able to land in your touchdown zone pretty much every time.

    • @Rvoid
      @Rvoid 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Prop torque is not modeled in IL2 and rudder trim does not do much, however elevator trim is nose heavy by default and recommend cranking the arrow to the right. Good stuff.
