    Thanks Lori, I don’t have a lot of 2.5” strips stash but could use my 2.5” square stash and save the strips for the 6” pieces. I think this would be a great project to practice free motion quilting too. As a newer quilter, this is a great pattern to practice with. Thank you, really enjoy your videos.

    Ingenious! This looks so complicated but it really is quite simple. Thank you for more inspiration!

    I think this is my most favorite of your blocks and videos, yet! Great instructions, and easy block, yet it looks so complicated! Thanks!

    Thank you for sharing this quilt block. I have a ton of 2 1/2 inch strips that I need to use up! I didn't see a link for the mystery quilt registration though.

      Thank you so much for the heads up on that! I got interrupted when I was uploading the video & all of the links didn’t get pasted in! When I get back to the house this eve, I will add all the links that should be in the description box!! Check back in an hour or so!! Thanks so much! Lori

    I’m definitely making this pattern after I get done with my other 2 projects.
    I’m ordering your book set next paycheck. I’m very excited to make ALL that you’ve been showing us!

      Illusions is a great pattern, isn't it? And SO easy to make! I'm so excited that you'll be making the quilts in my Speedy Solutions books! I know you'll enjoy them all! Happy Quilting! Lori

      @@quiltingwithlori I have a large family and the ladies (just a small group) will be going away in September for a short girls weekend. I hope to make each person attending a quilt for memories.
      I appreciate you teaching your book as I do okay with a written pattern but I’m very much the visual learner and it helps more than you know to see it “in action”

    What a great Idea. And I like easy. Can you take each square (1 of each color) and put them right sides together - mark a diagonal line and then sew 1/4 " on each side - like making a 1/2 sq triangle to get the same results?

      Yes, I think I get what you're saying and you could do that as well! There is ALWAYS more than one way to piece a block! It's fun to try, isn't it?

    Hi Lori I have lots of 2,5 inch strips , but not matching fabric , can that pattern be made with all different fabric? Thanks

      Absolutely! I think the scrappier the better! Just ensure you have the contrast needed within each block! It will result in a beautiful quilt!

    Hi I was wondering will you be thinking of posting your books out to UK at any time. I'd prefer books. How much would the postage be 😊

    • @quiltingwithlori
      @quiltingwithlori  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Karen, sadly international shipping costs for just the two books is much more than the cost of the books themselves! The last time I checked, the cost for shipping there was over $60 (USA $)! That is simply ridiculously expensive; hence, I placed the books out on Kindle/Amazon for my customers!! I do know what you mean about having the actual book in hand...nothing like it really! If you have any ideas on how I can get my books in the English market, I'm open to them!! (Maybe next year I need to visit my niece in Lancashire and bring a box of books with me!! LOL!!

    I have a lot of Chevron scraps in different colors. I'm looking for a pattern to use them up do you have any ideas?

    • @quiltingwithlori
      @quiltingwithlori  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ah!! Let me think on that… sounds like it’d be a fun quilt.

      Jolynnsholmire2785, would you take a pic of your chevron scraps and post it out on my Facebook group page so I can study what you have... it will be easier for me to come up with a pattern if I can see exactly what you are working with... Link to my Facebook group page is: facebook.com/groups/545266290816833/ Thanks so much!! Lori
