Lots of people use Spotify, so I'm sure that's why many are complaining about there being better options out there. For those using other players, I think we're unfortunately limited. You've provided a solid solution that doesn't require any maintenance after the initial setup!
IF anyone is having issues with "spotify is not running" or a blank notepad then the solution is to install an older/newer version. I had the same problems and then downloaded V6.1 and its all working perfectly.

If you launch Spotify and Snip tells you that nothing is playing, you might connected your Snip with different Spotify account, i did it and when i connected to right account, it worked fine. So look if your Spotify account and the account that you connected Snip are the same.

great question, I had the same issue. What I did to get it to work was edit the text through the Snip file itself. Open the .txt file and add any spaces or quotes you want between words, then click file, then save. It will then show up that way in OBS.

If people are still looking for a method of adding a space at the end of your tracks played by VLC, if you can find a font with special characters that always appear above your text (in my case the font is "8-bit Arcade In" and the special character is just an apostrophe) then what you can do is add a space and then your special character at the end of the file name. Then in OBS you can try cropping out the special character at the end and that will make it look like there's a space at the end. Of course, the fonts that will be able to do this are very limited, but the font I used is pretty neat.

Sadly I don't think there is a way to do this, as the scroll is added in OBS we cannot stop it scrolling at a certain size. Unless OBS updates and adds a setting like this in the future, for now we can do nothing about it. Sorry about that :/

I recommend using Nightbot for TH-cam music. Very simple, and you can find an easy tutorial on how to set it up. I personally went to Slay3d's video for Nightbot music!

Found a Fix! Download the Snip Version 6.9.5 Just google "Snip.exe" and you will find it.

No, not using this method at least! I would suggest either download the must from TH-cam and using VLC/iTunes, or switching over to spotify!

You can just setup layers in obs and adjust as needed. Normally I would make a design in Photoshop/gimp bad just transfer across to obs :)

I don't think there is currently a mac version for Snip, but there may be some mac alternatives that I do not know of, google is your best bet here :)
