Whoa, what absolutely stunning views. And Robin Hood - how cool! All of the stone walls, stairs, and rocks laying about are SO "idyllic UK countryside" to these two Americans. Just LOVELY!!! Fascinating history about the Romans, and the "sheep cows" are amazing! Wishing you both the happiest of holidays!
😂😂 Love the sheep cows 😂😂🐑 Glad you enjoyed it. Hopefully get out and about next week and film some new stuff if I can. I've been laid low with covid this last week 🤒 Feeling a bit better now though so hopefully on the mend. I hope you both have a great Christmas and have a very prosperous 2022.
Yeah, ironically I had my booster the day I got the symptoms, I just thought it was the side effects of the jab. I took a lateral flow test the follow day and that was negative. My sister text to say she had tested positive on a PCR test and had returned 3 negative lateral flows. That prompted me to get a PCR and that came back positive. Luckily I don't have to isolate anymore now and will be able to see family at Christmas 😊
It is, it is very up and down and some of those hills are very steep. Hiking boots required which we don't have. I nearly lost my trainer when it sank in the mud 😂🙈
@@continentalcoxons there is another path, keep to the wall alongside the cottage after going through the gate from the road, through another gate( muddy because of the cattle). follow the path and a little climb then it levels of a lot. Do not drift over to the right and onto the farm track as there is no right of way
Great shots you got of the place! Loved seeing the walk up - a little bit of a pity that there were so many hikers up there though. Still looks like a brilliant day out.
Thank you. Yes it is a popular place to go and with the weather being so nice on the day it brought more people out. Somewhere you would really appreciate. Quite a few roman forts up that way and ruins from that time. Well worth a visit.
@@continentalcoxons That really sounds great - I would love that indeed. It seems like I'll be spending some time in the UK next year, but it'll be around Liverpool rather than the north-east. But maybe I'll get up there too.
@@ThreeStarVagabond ah OK, that's a shame. Yes if you get up this way definitely let me know and we can arrange to do some stuff. When will you be over here?
@@continentalcoxons Will definitely do so! And I don't know for sure yet - I'll be over on a few different trips. My better half will be studying there for half a year, so I'll visit now and then.
I know, we've seen the news this morning, absolute disgrace. Really not sure what goes through these people's minds. Inexcusable behaviour and hope those responsible are caught and punished. Massive symbol of the north east destroyed by mindless idiots.
Absolutely disgusting Susan. They don't deserve to breathe the same air as we do. Honestly don't know what's wrong with the people in this country. Getting worse by the day.
So beautiful video. 👍👍🌷♥️🌷🌷
Thank you Temara, really pleased you enjoyed it.

@@continentalcoxons Damn. That’s great that you can be with family though. ENJOY!!!
Let's hope we can. I hope what ever you have planned you have a great Christmas too. You should come to the UK in 2022.
Wonderful video! You both look really well ☺☺ Northumberland looks so beautiful. I've always wanted to visit Hadrians Wall. Xxx
Thank you Ruth, glad you enjoyed it. More of an excuse to come and visit then 😊
wow that's a hike but amazing.

Yeah we did actually venture down that way and turned back when we saw we couldn't get through. Would be nice to get back in the summer time.

@@ThreeStarVagabond oh well there maybe a few opportunities then if you manage to get over this way a few times.
Some sick individual just put a chainsaw to this 300 year old tree 😡

This view now destroyed by vandals who cut the tree down in the night.

Someone cut it down
I know, absolute scumbags. Looks like someone has been arrested but the punishment won't be tough enough no doubt.
