I think that "Absolute Beginners" is one of the best songs ever composed. David Bowie's performance of it is just fabulous. And your version of it is superb. Thank you for this performance and keep up the good work.
Thank you, I discovered this song around Jan 2004, I remember it quite clearly. I love it. I know there are a lot of people who don't like his 80s work as much as earlier work, but .. I love the stuff he created from the 80s!

I'm a little late to the party, but you did a fantastic job with this. Absolute Beginners is my favourite Bowie song. It's beautifully written. I play piano by ear, and if you don't mind, I'd really love to use your version and learn it myself.

Excellent stuff, really. Can you please explain, how did you programme strings, to cover only high tones and adding nice padding. I own a different synth so the explaining the concept only would do. Thanks!
BelvinSLO for the TH-cam videos I play the piano part first and film this .. after the video is recorded I then can lay other tracks to the audio project in Logic Pro x. So basically the audio is recorded as a seperate track and I then sync the footage with the audio . Sometimes I don’t plan on adding additional instruments or sounds but after recording it may sound too bland. That’s why some videos that have major parts i record two videos in one to show the parts .. but most .. are just subtle sounds . Hope that helps

I am Pretty sure the Nord “piano” sound is the lady d grand which you can download from Nord website .. and it’s layered with a Logic Pro press “chorused piano” I think it’s called. Kinda like a Rhodes / EP sound without the phaser .. I hope that helps
