Started surfing my local river past year, wish I knew this because wew I was dumb, nearly froze, drowned, and smashed my head in before some old hands set me right. 🤙
Cailin Brett it is definitely possible to create your own wave! Might need to get the city to approve it before you would be allowed to do so. My friend in Canada built his own wave. I do surf Ocean whenever I can! Thanks for watching!!!
Hey man love the video. I have a sup and tried it out on the waves at the kayak park on the Arkansas. Where would be the best spot to stand on the board more back or front?. I'm 6ft 190 my sup is 9ft long
Kevin Mulryne do you have any video of you surfing? I would be happy to take a look and coach you a bit on your foot placement. My first tip would be to make sure both feet are lined up in the center line of the board. That is the most common mistake especially on a SUP. A lot of people stagger their stance one foot to each side of the center and that complicates controlling the board.
Kevin Mulryne usually that’s people go to because it’s how we stand to run rapids. You can lay down some duct tape on the center line to make it easy when you are in the wave!
I would like to buy a surf board but paddle board on the river also. Have a surf dream and wish to surf Guy in Montreal. Two for one. Also, I do not like inflatable, need something that fits in my car. What would you recommend! Please share. 🙏🇨🇦❤️🌈🌎
The safety and instruction pretty much always is. Thanks for taking time and watching it. Hopefully there were a few helpful bits in there. Check out some of my surfing Vlogs for more action!!!
@@AlexMauerVlogs Hey Alex, this was fantawsitic. i am 59 and 10 months and a former slalom water skiier and we do 70 mph on the water. 35 or 30 mph boat speed which we double on the cut. the i windsurder in 30-35 knot winds (flat water) and i learned so damn much from you on the safewty side of this. AWESOME video. Damon can echo alpha Delta EAD. give me boring safety data any day rather than dead forever. best advice was the helmet because surfing and slalom you just protected your teeth and face when you fell we had no helmets AVAILABLE.s o so without your suggestion it never even occurred to me . GREAT VIDEIO alex ignore the idiot hater like Damon
