That's quite interesting when Mentour Pilot and Green Dot do videos about the same story in the same time so you can make the best picture in your head about the story.
@@n-0988 I have personally compared the two of them.. in my humble opinion, there's no comparison. I get a full on visual w/green dot. And that's not to say I do not appreciate mentour pilot. Solid comment
It's a bit strange: lots of air accidents have occurred since the first "powered takeoff" in 1874 (Félix du Temple) . Maybe they should coordinate to stop too much stepping on each other's shoes.
This happened a lot for some time. Not only with Mentour and Green Dot. I guess it's mostly cause all of them are searching for the lesser known but still interesting incidents.
I sometimes wonder why they both are covering the same topic and if they are being conflicting, but then again both channels do have different visuals and scripts so it's not too much of an issue like that, tho information wise it seems very similar
Working without pay for 6 months is crazy to me. Especially if I now already have my own restaurant to run back home. I would definitely just go do that...
I'm with you. I don't want to fly with a crew that haven't been paid in 6 months. I had to wait 2 weeks at a family-like business. Once at a big agency when they had computer failure. Can you imagine how the rest of the company and employees functioned?😮
Right. If my job missed a single check I’d be raising hell. They’d better have a damn good reason for missing the payment, too. “We don’t have the money” doesn’t count as a good reason. I mean, like, “the global financial system experienced a widespread computer glitch, your check will come as soon as that’s resolved” type of good reason. Something entirely out of their control that will be remedied asap. The President of my company can pay me in cash from his own bank account at that point. Short of that, I’m spending my working hours applying for new jobs. I’m also contacting the department of labor and beginning to put together a lawsuit on day one without a good reason for my missed payment. A second missed check = I terminate my employment immediately. Six months!? Even if I were somehow able to financially support myself for six months without pay, I would absolutely not continue to work for free. I don’t care what the reason is for the missed payments. I’m not a slave. I can and will find employment that actually pays me. I don’t care if I have to go work at McDonald’s until something better comes along, I’m not working for free.
Job change would have most likely meant 1) losing his position as a captain 2) no payback for those 6 months. The pilot career could also be a more secure job than running a restoraunt. Remember, this is Columbia. I have never lived there but I know what it means to run any sort of business in a highly corrupt state with criminals all around.

LETS GOOOOOOO RAHHHHH I CANT WAIT TO REWATCH THIS ONE 100 TIMES UNTIL THE NEXT ONE COMES OUT
Its so sad how many times the younger guy knows what to do but the older one doesn't listen and kills everyone.
I have watched every video and now I’m obsessed
yay new video as im about to go to sleep! thank you
Got back from school, opened TH-cam and saw this legend posted. So excited! Happy halloween
I got really excited when this popped up... until I realised this flight has just been covered by another big TH-camr, MentourPilot, just 11 days ago!
I appreciate you though. Keep up the great work!
Brilliant documentary as always
Better than Mentour Pilot!
FBW A380 and a new GDA video in one day? It's like Christmas came early
Another great video, with great narration.
Just got into bed and super stoked to get into this video !
