    Hi lee, dont worry i think after watching the old smix video i think i fixed it!
    For the rest of you out there
    I have an A tail setup that somehow is giving elevator movements when rudder command is given and vice versa. Flight controler is doing the same. Have it set up "v tail" in inav 4.1. reciever page says my channels are assigned correctly, ie rudder mives rudder and elevator moves elevator. The key is the rate needs to be negative on one of the yaws i think!

    Great video, I do have one question. Do you think having an air speed sensor is necessary for long range flights and why.

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It depends on how windy the weather is you fly in. With a little wind groundspeed and airspeed start to become very different numbers depending on if you have the wind at your back or on your nose... happy flying!

    Hi Lee!
    Can I ask, why you do enter the mid points but not the min and max? Wouldn’t the deflection go more one way than the other? Or isn’t it required for the initial setup?

    Watching and making slow progress. So far no accident. I get to replay what I thought I understood, since there are so many details. Greatly appreciate this series. One question still remains. If I need dual or triple rate, is it something I should set up in inav? Looks like it is something that should be done on the radio side.

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Why is want more than one set of rates. INAV modes can be used to provide an excellent alternative to traditional rate reduction. If you want to fly in MANUAL or ACRO a lot then you can add another rate profile to the radio... Happy flying

      @@Painless360 It is a habit from F3A and IMAC. I will be most likely be ok with Manual mode in FPV world. Another side question is, I found parts where you set neutral points for servos, but how do you make motor run earlier on low side. Mine starts at about 1/3 up which is a bit too much. Thanks.

    • @Painless360

    I'm trying to set up a T1 Ranger. There are a couple of mixer presets. Airplane with differential thrust and Airplane without a rudder. The T1 has 2 motors and no rudder. I assume I use Airplane with Differential Trust because the preset for Airplane Without a Rudder only has 1 motor. Do you have a video showing how to setup the T1 Ranger and how to setup differential thrust since there is no rudder? I haven't been able to find a video setting up this plane. I've managed to get the motors running, the Arm, modes, etc switches set up in the modes tab. I have the Elevator and Ailerons working in the right directions and moving with the correct sticks. When I had this plane working with just a elrs PWM receiver, I managed to get differential thrust working by playing with the mixers in the radio, but your video series here says all of that is done in INAV and not to mess with the radio mixer. I am using the Matek F405 VTOL FC but I haven't converted it to VTOL yet. I'm just trying to get it flying as a normal plane for now. Your video series has been a huge help so far. You're like the Bardwell of planes. Or maybe Bardwell is the Painless of quads.

    Just received a new model that uses Y cables on flaps and ailerons down to a single connector to the flight controller, am I best to change these into their own individual servo leads or is there an easy way to set this up in inav?

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  ปีที่แล้ว

      Assuming that the manufacturer of the model did the setup of the servos and linkages well then you shouldn't need to split the cables. Of you have enough PWM outputs on the flight controller than you just plug the flap y cable into one of the flap outputs etc... best of luck!

    Hi Lee, great series. I am trying to setup a Volantex ASW28 with a Matek 405 Wing. I want to add a Pan/Tilt camera mount on channels 7 and 8. I have a Crossfire Nano, and a Beitian 220 GPS.
    Everything you showed in the previous video worked perfectly. GPS works, receiver works, OLED works, I can also start the motor. But none of the six connected servos work (servo rail has 5V). When I use the status command on CLI tab, it shows:
    PWM output init error: Not enough servo outputs/timers
