Greatly appreciated Lois for sharing your talent and inspirational video, brilliant result and explained clearly how you've planned before creating an exciting painting. Thanks stay safe
Marvellous Lois! I'm so so tempted to jump in straight away. But as I know I can't do anything as good I'd rather re-watch the tutorial yet again. And I love those trees too and the fences are absolutely little gems. Very very well done. Thank you for a treat tonight!
Beautiful Lois....nicer than the reference photo! You had great patience with painting in all that foliage in such detail - I'm fairly sure I would lose the plot before I was half way there but your end result was well worth all the trouble. I love that you are experimenting with different techniques but I did chuckle when you said that mostly you learned that you want to go back to your loose style of painting and I want you to do that too so all is well in the world. Thank you so much for this great tutorial 💕
What an amazing image achieved Lois in this painting, enjoyed how you've calmly explained what is needed to create a lovely detail depth with various shades throughout. I have a very similar photo which is of an old railway track which has been turned into a cycle/ walking area, thanks greatly appreciated stay safe and healthy
Makes me want to go there. Pretty color choices.. Funny you should sum it up by saying that you want to paint looser next time(the trees),kind of a departure from your style. But it's still painterly
I always love your style! Really, an hour isn't a terribly long time to produce such lovely work. Can't wait to try this but I know it will take more than an hour! Lois, what do you use for your board and what size is it?
Thank you! I use linen covered/primed boards usually used for acrylic or oil painting that I purchased from an art discount shop The Works in the UK, they are cheap and a good size, A3/20" x 16"
Oh! This is my favorite so far!
beautiful and an excellent tutorial
Enjoyable to watch. Good to hear your thought process.
You are one of my favourite painters. You can really see your own progress too. The more you are pushing yourself out of your comfort zone.
Works that enter the heart with joy......👍👍👍🌷

This is an interesting deviation from your usual style. It turned out lovely.
My style is similar to your style and I sincerely appreciate it.👍💖😘
Nice job. Like the position of the bridge on the sheet. All looks good. Nice balance. Lovely colours.
Thank you, I was less happy with the trees but pleased with the bridge!
I think the trees are nice. Reminiscent of the railway travel posters of old.
Lovely Lois! Yes, I'd like to see you do this scene again but with the hake brush! Thanks so much for your instructive videos!
Fantastic! You capture the sunlight on the trees skillfully!
Lovely 😍
Brilliant Lois, I love this and sincerely hope you continue to paint a few more in this style.
