OMG, that started a rant in my household. Oldest child spent months talking us into having a bday party at a trampoline park. Dad and I were thiiiiiiiis close to giving in. And a month before the birthday, Youngest child fell off a trampoline and broke his arm. 3 years later, Oldest child is still bitter that they didn't get a trampoline party.

by the way, stored dogs can still be used for breeding, and they dont age while in storage! so if you get a dog with neat mutations that you wanna breed a lot, chuck em in storage once they reach adulthood
this! if/when I get wobbledogs, I'm going to try saving all the achievement dogs to have a nice reservoir of genetic material.
And it also clears up a space for new blood on the ground!

Don’t feel compelled to keep breeding dogs if you see one you like! There’s no need to always get below zero stability if you risk missing out on an awesome looking dog! Also, if you like certain traits then breed those traits together so you can further them instead of always trying to match two unlike dogs for the sole purpose of getting more generation.

I have completely fallen in love with Wobbledogs. I went from looking sideways at thumbnails because it looks like such a weird game to spending like 80% of my weekend determinedly trying to breed a legless horror of genetics. A true masterpiece 😂
Since you mentioned reinforcements and I have trained dogs for years now, here’s some fun facts!
Technically, in dog training negative reinforcement means removing a negative stimulus in order to increase a desired behavior. A negative stimulus is something that is producing a negative behavior or something the dog just doesn’t like. This aspect of conditioning is one of the trickier ones but I find it to be really successful, along with the premack principle, for nervous or non-food-motivated dogs.
For example, when walking a dog, if the dog pulls it applies uncomfortable pressure to the collar and the walking stops, meaning the dog cannot get to what it was pulling to. Once the dog stops pulling leash pressure is removed and walking continues. This reinforces to the dog that a loose leash means they get to walk.
Or say a dog barks at other dogs out of fear. As soon as the dog stops barking the other dog is removed, reinforcing to the anxious dog that not barking means the other dog leaves instead of barking leads to no more strange dogs. This is part of a training method called Constructional Aggression Treatment (CAT).
Obviously I don’t think this applies to wobbledogs but I just HAVE to talk about dogs lol. I can’t help it. Hopefully some people find this interesting 😅

This is interesting! Was at a picnic yesterday/Friday where two dogs met and the one was super stressed barking at the other, their owners had to go seperate ways. The second point about the CAT is interesting.
That was really interesting. We have always struggled with out rescue dog pulling but he will just lean into it even if we stop. And when we can eventually start going again he is immediately pulling
In this game rn, I have a bit of an experiment. I'm isolating two dogs, both with very weird genes. One is big, while the other is small. Every gene brought in the room is "Pure". What I mean is that genes or food from inside, or outside the room are not let in or out unless necessary to fix a genetic problem *fewer legs or something like that*. As of now, the third generation has been half born, with the smaller one not yet created. The current gene selected that are 100% stuck inside the rooms are: two heads, tails, very stark sizes, and 6 legs. A few missing legs were discovered in gen 2, but fixed in gen 3. The main body of the passed version of a dog is fed to its inheritor (large body to large dog and vice versa) to make sure that we get the most out of each gen. I think that maybe every time Therm posts a wobble video, I might give an update. A little tip for Therm though. If you want to get a dog with something like two heads or tails, the best way is to fill adult dogs with stock loads of mutations, mostly random ones, then breeding them, to get very random looking dogs, as a baby dog not only takes the genes, but also some of the gut of an adult dog, or at least I believe so. Wings might also work the same. Also, if you want more limbs without mutations, just let your dog's eat their pupa shed, it gives them extra limbs rarely.

There's also an option where you can save the code of the dogs, and then you can use that code over and over to make the same dog. You can also look up codes yourself for cool looking dogs

If you want wings and other crazy mutations, try to feed a select few dogs mainly dog corpses and the pupation shed. (I don't play the game but the genes in dogs gives random mutations which should help.)

I love how you have gone through the five stages of Wobbledog Grief:
1) Omg these pupperonis are precious I can't possibly have anything bad happen to any of you
2) The mad scientist glee at making things as mutated as possible, and breeding for specialist characteristics.
3) The horror of breeding a spindly-legged aberration so weak it can't survive independently.
4) Realising that just because you could never means that you should. But you would die for That One Dog.
5) You've begun to make a line of dogs named after meat products so you can grind them up to sustain the life of your One Dog, which at this point has basically become a lich, living a cursed eternal life at a cost you never would have forseen.

With the previous upload schedule with this game I was concerned that I would have to wait a month or two for an upload of it, but with this one coming out so soon I can feel my fears washing away.
Man I love wobbledogs I bought it the day the pre-release came out and thanks to Therm I've gotten back into it! Wobbledogs even if it ever burns me out from playing alot holds a SPECIAL place in my heart. It's wacky its cute its silly and thanks to the discord server when I was in it I made a VERY good friend!
