The nice thing about a clear tent is the bears can see whats on the menu before opening the package, lol!
I bought a hot tent a few weeks ago and went to set it up the other day, you have no clue how happy I am to hear I'm not the only person that takes 3 hours to set a tent up the first time 😂 only takes about 15 minutes now.
Took me close to 2 hours to get our camp ready last weekend. Setting up a bell tent on a hard pitch is definitely not easy when half your pegs just get bent in half when you're trying to hammer them in
@@kiddwong4186 Yeah you aren't kidding, my tent is a pretty pricey Luxe tent, very nice material, but of course I can easily bend the pegs with my hands, a quarter of them are already deformed. Luckily I found some long lag bolts and they surprisingly worked like a charm.
Sir
Nice video. I like your videos, interesting values, I always watch your videos as you got a very nice smiley attitude and the way it presents and has good explanatory stuff over the videos. Thank you and we enjoyed them well sir. Keep it up..❤
Always set up a newly owned tent before taking it out to use.
When I worked at a sporting goods chain, I always told the people buying tents to set them up Before they went camping! Especially if it was a guy and a girl. I knew that the girl would make sure that someone knew how to pitch the tent. Especially when you explain that how hard it is going to be in the dark when the Sun goes down! Usually I would get a strange look and a slight nod. As if the guy was remembering that very thing! I once saw a lady poke her boyfriend in the side, discretely though. Kinda of funny...
But always check out your gear Before you head out to the middle of nowhere. Get used to it first, before you need it.
And a last piece of advice and I'll stop rambling, honest!
Your brand new tent is NOT seam sealed at the factory! If you want a seam sealed tent then you will add at least 1 to 2 hundred dollars, USD. More if the tent is larger. Cheaper to do it yourself! Just set up your new tent, preferably outside, and apply the sealer to all of the seams. This will block up all of those sewing needle holes from the sewing machine. One package was only good for a basic size tent. Get enough to do the job. Or the lady that you convinced to go will wake up when it rains and says, "OK, that's it. We are going to the hotel!". Happened to my friend, at the Grand Canyon no less.
I have no interest in camping but I love watching this guy setting up, cooking his food etc. He's also got such a happy disposition 🥰 I find it relaxing to watch just before I go to sleep 😊
I'm currently riding out a historic windstorm. It's been a day already and 2 more coming. It really wreaks havoc on my depression, kinda spikes it with anxiety and lack of sleep.
All the fun of a tornado stretched over several days. Thanks for the pleasant distraction.
It's been 3 weeks, hope the calmer weather has paid you a visit.
I think, what keeps me coming back to your channel:
1. Your cooking
2. Wood chopping
3. The Quiet moments
4. Andy's Infectious Joy.
Lovely Channel, Cheers Andy! 😁👍
Very true he’s always happy and a big old smile 😃
yes, makes the show........
14:33
I second that!
Couldn't put it better myself. Also, the comments section is so wholesome - full of comments like these, which is increasingly rare these days... 🤍⛺
Excellent video, Andy. I have severe back issues so this is as close to camping as I'll get. Keep up the good work!
Me too. Wish you well
No joke! In all seriousness most channels fail when they try to make a living of it. Yet somehow you manage to maintain. Thanks for sharing. You sir are legendary! 👍
Love the clear tent! Cooking of course is SPOT ON! Thanks for sharing.
I was a camper in the 1970's we used so many old shower curtains that we must have looked like crazy people with all those crazy patterns from way back when, no heated stove just a Coleman stove for cooking, still the best days of my life camping with not much of anything, but as a Girl Scout I can like you cook anything over a open fire. I can boil water in a paper bag. Lol
Your voice is so soothing! I love your videos and have them running in the background as I fall asleep.
You just keep doing what makes you happy and enjoy yourself. You're always a pleasure to watch.
This is now my new favorite video of yours. Keep em coming sir!
I'm quite envious Andy. It looks great, no wild wind or snow. A gentle rain would be alright tapping on the roof. Your malt loaf looked great too. Another cracking video.
Very well done very imaginative and displaying numerous skills to perfection , hats off to you young sir !
I love the round clear tent with the lights 😊
I found your channel two weeks ago and I have been binging ever since. Loving your content!
love your vids, they never fail to put me at ease and make me chuckle, thank you. 🥰
Another great Video Andy, thanks for thinking outside the box (or canvas in this instance). I really enjoyed watching!
man i love all this excentric mess of a camping lol, all the foldable steampunk heating and the seetrough tent lol keep it up man
What a wholesome human being, you earned a sub. Keep up the good work.
Hey Kent! Another great video bud 😊 looking forward to your next vid Kent!
Just recently discovered the channel and have binged the backlog. Really awesome videos!
Your videos are so much fun to watch, it always seems like you're just delighted by life :)
Andy I really enjoy your videos when I'm at work they are very relaxing and I appreciate that you don't hassle us all the time for likes, subscriptions, patreon and everything and you even said you ENJOY your TH-cam stuff today. In a world where people pretend being a TH-camr or a streamer is a really hard graft I appreciated that.
Andy, you are mad lol, but your personality and your videos are addictive.
Already looking forward to the next one 👍
Love from Ireland
This video was awesome as always Andy.
Thank you so much for sharing your awesome adventures just as much as you love what you do we love to watch. You have a great channel and I never get bored watching.
The food looked scrumptious emm emm delicious 😋
KEEP ADVENTURING
GOD BLESS YOU
🤗HUGS🤗
PS,
I loved it when you said, "Future Andy doesn't like past Andy," lol 😆 😂 🤣 😅
You're hilarious 😂 😃 😄 😁 🤣
Stay Awesome!
Sublime. Great trip. Great video. Thank you. 👍👍
Heat Powered Stove Fans actually work based on the simple principle that if two dissimilar metals are placed together and heated, they will create a small voltage that can be enough to power a motor. WOW I never knew a thing like this existed until this vid! That is actually amazing and I am VERY AMAZED.
I am a new subscriber from West Virginia USA. I truly enjoy you videos with my love of the outdoors. Also, I have a lot of descendants from the UK, Brennans and Webbs. Keep up the awesome videos. God bless.
That floral you're picking up on the pilsener is probably the lager yeast esters.
Good video Andy, always interesting to watch, regards from Yorkshire 😊
Hi Andy I always enjoy watching your videos when your solo but I mostly enjoy watching when your with Marc and man in the woods, I think you all make good viewing when you’ve had toooooo many 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺
Really enjoyed your video. Thanks for sharing.
Come to the States and go camping!!
Great video Andy. What is the chance of you sharing your malt loaf recipe? You having different ideas for tents is very interesting and informative. Thank you for sharing. Keep having fun and stay safe.
I'm pretty new to your channel but have binge watched an unhealthy amount of your videos lol. I was wondering, have you ever done, or would consider doing a camping essentials (your can't live withouts) video, and also a budget guide to a full set up?
I saw some Turkish glampers use one just like this, they put a stove it ,but they seemed to be taking a break from their normal camp ,they were somewhere where the weather was nice and there wasn’t any snow, normally they seem to like 3 feet of snow during a raging blizzard with chains on their vehicles tires ,I fallow 4 different Turkish camping TH-camrs,it’s interesting and fun, I live in the upper Midwest in the states and they seem to get more snow than here. Oh Andy they make some interesting food, hey it wouldn’t be a TH-cam camping video without a great meal
I always enjoy your videos
A bit bigger but That tent pops up like my Laundry Basket from the dollar store 😂😂😂😂😂
Great videos. I enjoy them
LOVE THE COFFEE CUP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m here for your cooking
Malt loaf looks good
If I tried that clear tent here in Texas, I'd cook myself in it
If i ever become homeless. I want a setup like this. This hits the spot for bare minimum for me. And somehow resonates with me in some weird way. I may need to get a tent like that to escape from everyday life for a couple days.
Saw some videos about weird homeless shelter concepts just before watching this. That's why it's on my mind. I do live in a country with very little homeless. Because the government is not absolute BS. But yea.
I know that you’re probably trying to stay within a certain time frame, but you cut the best part!… I wanted to see you pack up the folding part of that tent!! 🤔
Enjoyable video.
Had to laugh at this one. You look like you’re in a spaceship. Love your videos!
So new to your channel....Dallas, TX, USA, LOVE YOUR ACCENT!!!!! Love your channel...looked back at previous videos...Keep up the ventures!!! Forever a fan!!!!!!!
It's cool, but what in the heck do you get yourself into!!!😂
Very cool video
You certainly have chosen an unusual career Andy . But if it pays the bills good for you
You know when animals hear their prey they are happy but now there's a tent that makes it easier to see their prey, awesome Yum Yum lunch's up!
27:37 tent looks good, but how does one get privacy when changing? Ha 😜😝😛ha ha ha. It’s great for star ⭐️ gazing or watching rain ☔️! I look forward to what you cook to eat. Please do some Asian meals.
I love the videos.omg the cook out little pig.. you guys are madddd..lmao but man I would enjoy camping with you and ur buddy's... Springfield Missouri
I love your channel it’s one of my go too. I enjoy your content always stay happy 😊😊Stay Safe Always 🦍🦍🦍
This would make a great portable greenhouse. Tent…? Not so much 🤔😂
love your streams man keep it up :)
Everyone I see Andy has a new video I think what’s he doing now 😂!
As a northerner I’d say that gravy needs some work 😂, love the videos though! Keep up the good work
Andy, I love your videos and look forward to them every week. That malt loaf sounds absolutely disgusting!! (And I'm pretty sure my English mom would have loved a slice!)
Do videos where you kinda seriously postulate about life topics while having a drink or two, if thats your thing
Id also like to try making an underground cabin
I really felt for one gal in alaska who couldnt keep a fire going in a yurt and had to walk back 45 minutes to her truck. Be sure to be prepared for any eventuality, people inc a means of communication, etc if your stuck
I enjoy split pea soup, id try that with fish and chips tho' its unusual to me
We also enjoy pot pies in the u.s. there used to be many shops in the u.s for them and theyd showcase them in front of the store windows
Come back to Devon!!
Or u can make one out of thick foil
You didnt show us you folding the tent up! Comedy vaue😂
I thought it was a greenhouse when I first saw it.... 😂
Please tell me Andy - how do you keep your axe and knife so sharp ? 😮
Wanna know one of the worst messes to clean up. A broken full glass bottle (1l) of molasses.
As a dude of knowledge wot counts as rock and steel in d event of a nuclear attack so u can use it like a ferro rod init a fire does many tings
Where did you get the oven? 💚💚💚💚💚💚
Ive done a bit of digging and I think they’re available at B&Q in the uk 💚
Exactly, a goldfish - lol
Looks like it would be great sleeping in a see through dome...maybe spooky too if you have bears and other dangerous nocturnal animals 😂
That would be a great one for a snow camp. Just imagine laying in bed watching it come down. 🙂
Yes indeed
Snow is heavy 😂
@@dandychestnut3493 not on the south coast, its a light dusting at best.
or even the northern lights!
Till it covers the tent and looks like an igloo lol 😂
Andy your smile is so infectious. Every time you smile I can’t help smile too 😁
You know that is true, he is an amazing person to go with every week. He is addicting when you start watching him
One of the things I love most about your channel is the subscribers and their supportive, grateful and wholesome comments. Another awesome vid today 👍🏻

So agree - this channel attracts really nice people/comments 😊
Yes, its loverly to fine corners of the net where everyone is loverly. A bit of a tangent, but people are always nice on knitting groups/ sites as well.
The food during the camping trips is often better than I eat at home 🙂
This channel is therapy….
Totally destress watching this.
Cheers Andy.
Its amazing how watching someone camp /eat / drink can relax one
Where do I find mushy peas?😁
I have pretty bad anxiety and have been having issues going to bed at night.
I usually watch your videos during the day because they are so calming but last night I decided to rewatch a video of yours since I couldn't fall asleep anyway.
Lo and behold I woke up this morning, rested and unsure as to when I fell asleep.
Thank you for being so calm and sweet. It really seemed to help me fall asleep!
This is lovely - and yes I agree, Andy's videos are incredibly soothing.
I'm so happy for you that you had a good night's sleep. People generally don't realise until they experience a run of poor sleep themselves, what a difference even one decent night can make. Here's to many more for you! 🤍⛺
Hi I'm to having anxiety problems we need these videos to help us 😊
i also watch him to sleep!
I can recommend wiljum and jingels!
I have a similar story!
Camping in a greenhouse, what could possibly go wrong 😂😂😂
I cracked up laughing when the tent popped out at the beginning. Should have taken Mark along for a laugh. Glad the tent stayed up for you. Good to see that you’re trying different ways of camping. Love your videos Andy and the things you cook.
Andy is just a bloke doing what he loves and we're all here for it. Never stop!
When I was a child in the 1970"s I used to have a clear "mushroom" umbrella. This tent reminds me of that umbrella. It did not work well but was quite fashionable for the time. I am fearful this temt would not work well but, in its one way, looks good.
I love your videos and am still working my way through each, every night. Thank you for these peaceful and entertaining videos!
I was thinking the same thing, and I remember those umbrellas. They had more of a hemispherical shape than the normal ones. As for this tent, if I had to give it a name I'd call it The Jellyfish.
You are so right.
I remember those umbrellas, there was a transparent raincoat around about the same time.
I had one in the 70s also! We called them bubble umbrellas.
I love that you show all different types of camping shelters, really makes it interesting & fun to watch 😊❤
Never a dull camp, I agree you have an infectious smile. Always positive and upbeat.
Carry on camping
Always something different! The little stove, the springy foldaway see thru tent, baking malt loaf for breakfast, and seeing you so happy and relaxed not having to fight the wind and rain for once! Lovely!!😊
When pouring high viscosity things out of a jar (like the malt extract or honey etc), when you've poured enough, you can just twist the jar so the liquid breaks of, then continue twisting it until the rest gets back into the jar. So basically just use gravity to get it back in the jar without leaving a mess
Takes me back to physics at school this. 😂
Out of all the YT camping videos-yours is by far the number one. We all text each other on a Wednesday saying’Kent’s Up!’ Do not stop. Ever.
Apparently you don’t know TH-cam very good 🤣🤷♂️
meatriding much
@@troybing6665 *well
Dude sucks , many other Utuberesvthere that have way better content. Like Bluegabe, Deermeat for dinner, brothers. You make your choice I can give you dozens of other content creators. You want them?
Not even close to thinking this is the greatest TH-camrever get a fucking clue.
At first glance, thought you were going to get a spray tan!!!😂😂😂
Another interesting video. I love your sense of humor. I don't believe I would ever be comfortable camping in a clear tent out in the forest somewhere. I would use it in my back yard while I was watching the sky.
My aunt used a camp oven for years on top of one of the stove burners. She was frugal and thought it was cheaper than lighting the oven. She would stack on top also to keep stuff warm. Thank you for bringing back some good memories. ❤❤❤
I need to take my blood pressure shortly - watching your videos always relaxes me, so tonight you are a big help!
What a talent you have for making the viewer feel like they’re with you. Maybe Hollywood next?
I love that he's found a bed he likes and keeps using it...makes for a better sleep.
He's clearly found a fire he likes as well.
See-Through Dome 'Hot-Tent' would make a good Greenhouse ' methinks .🤔 enjoyed the video Andy , and cheese goes well with malt loaf .
Awesome video as always Andy! The bluey purple from the lights with the stove looked so pretty. Thanks for taking us along on your adventures! Xx
I only went camping twice on my entire life (I’m 60), and you make me want to go hot tenting in the woodland 😊 that tent looks amazing at night. I have seriously been looking for an inflatable hot tent with carpet flooring (because I want to take my shoes off and put my slippers on 😂 and get comfortable). I also want that wood burning stove with the oven 🤦🏽♀️
You only live once get yourself out there camping and enjoy every minute of it 😊
Me too except I have only slept in a two person tent in my backyard. I only made it half the night. I didn't have a fire, food, water or any of Andy's fancy gear. Worst of all the tent smelled extremely mildewy and I was hungry, thirsty and extremely bored. I want to go this spring but none of my girlfriends want to go. I'm waiting... someone will have to repay a favor and they will be my lucky camping partner for a day/night.
@@5954ldydi haha I used to enjoy camping but my wife loathes it, she likens it to "going to sleep in a crisp packet, and waking up in pain in a wet crisp packet" (which smells of mildew)
@@adrianfitzpatrick4638 Hahahaha ☺️
My favourite time of the week! Let me make a coffee and break out the biscuits 😂
It is great to see how the stove/oven combination work together. You did some complex cooking/warming/baking in this one. The moon and the rosy morning sky made wonderful images.
What great fun! Thanks for letting us tag along! 💖
